I use nano for programming because vi is too hard and emacs makes Linux redundant.

None, i like it as simple and minimalistic as possible.
The main contributor (soon to be maintainer) doesn't want to transfer his copyright to the FSF. It is much easier to defend your software in court when you don't have to track every one who developed the project and get their power of attorney.
