What's an "okay" 1080p card?

what's an "okay" 1080p card?

I am thinking about the same thing. Don't want to buy anything over-the-top until I save up the cash for a 4k monitor. I think you should wait for the rx 480, it's coming out in 2 days and it will be probably slightly better than the 380x

I use an r9 270 and it's alright. About £120 when I bought it. It doesn't do max settings or anything special, but it's also not awful.

i have an R9 290 and it's okayish for 1080p

r9 380, I guess.

gtx 750

I bought a GTX960 last year for my new build as a placeholder until this generation of cards.

It is the definition of OK.

>1080p
but what refresh rate?
60hz?
then go RX 480

970, never fall for the AMD meme.

I'm running an r9 390 that'll run shit like GTAV and Overwatch at a solid 60fps maxed at 1080

R9 390 or R9 380X

i have an R9 390 and it runs 130-160 fps on medium-high settings
it looks almost as good as ultra
but need those extra fps for high refresh rate monitor

gtx 970 has been working well for me

And to play recent games all maxed out?

I know 970 is absolute shit when it comes to maxing everything at 1080p due to its vRAM problem.

lamo not even a 980ti runs GTA5 maxed out

RX 470

Same man. 4g or 2g?

>never fall for the AMD meme
>suggests meme card instead

Fucking hell how ass backwards has the 480 made this board?

RX480 4gb or 970 are great and future proof also wont need expensive power supply for them

Rx 470. Will be cheap as fuck and will be equivalent or close to a 290.

>rx 470
>equivalent of 290

So, are these AMD or NVIDIA shills moving goalposts like that?

Thank over delusional AMDrones for shilling this card back and forth with false information.

The new poo-card rx 480 seems pretty good.

>console tier
>okay

This is not okay.

3.5G

refurbished GTX 980 will do everything you need
