What the fuck Linux? Even the most user friendly distro (Ubuntu, Linux Mint) force me to use terminal.
Linux should be me more user-oriented if we want more people to use it.

If everything requires the terminal it is probably better and more fun, and probably quicker too.

No one asked you to run Linux. Go back to your hand holding OS, faggot.

There's GUI ways to do everything you listed in vanilla Ubuntu kys

>Have to download software
Synaptic

>Have to share files
Drag and drop in the file explorer to the mounted network share

>Have to know what processes are active on my computer
GNOME System Monitor

>Have to stop some processes
GNOME System Monitor

>Have to edit config file
gedit

Have to download software
>Browse shady websites and read through huge pages and installation processes just not to fuck up

Have to share files
>Browse shady websites and read through huge pages

Have to know what processes are active on my computer
>Too bad because anything beyond simple programs is hidden

Have to stop some process
>Restart the computer and enter Windows Recovery Mode to remove the malicious process

Have to edit some configuration
>Search frantically between 2 different shady configuration utilities

What the fuck Windows?

Look at it like this:

Have to do something 45 years from now.
>VRUI is a thing now.
>All these damn kids and their VR headsets >Where is the mouse cursor?
>What do you mean we haven't had those since 2026?
>And who are you calling granps?

>Open terminal
>Commands are all the same

While GUI changes CLI stays roughly the same.
This is basically the advantage of CLI over any GUI.

LOL

Lies and slander, the post.

fuck the users

Windows, Ubuntu, Mint are not userfriendly.
They are friendly to retards.
User friendlyness means giving the user full access to control his system.

how do ubuntu and mint restrict full access?

There are GUIs for all of this.

For editing there is emacs or gedit and a bunch more.

>if we want more people to use it.
No thanks, buddo. I don't want any more people like you shitting up the forums and what not.

The CLI is timeless, the GUI is not. The CLI is fast. The GUI is not. The CLI is explicit, the GUI is not. Also, no registry and no dlls make me a happy man.

>Have to download software
softwres go in bin or sbin
not in program file or program files (x86) or appdata or C:\\ or local or wherever the wizard tell you to
>Have to know what processes are active on my computer
>Have to stop some processes
if you have to google it, your DE already have a system monitor as you most likely use ubuntu or mint
>Have to edit config file
shit load of gui text editor or nano that tell you the basic shortcuts at the bottom, even retards can use it.

>Linux should be me more user-oriented if we want more people to use it.
it already is, linux is not your mother, it does not babysit you all the time.
You don't want to read because it's "not normal to have to learn new things outside school"? Don't use linux.
It will NEVER be as easy as windows or macOS and it does not need to.

Mint has a GUI method for everything you've listed. Try again, doofus

Are you stupid or something? Bash is incredibly easy to learn, and much more powerful than a GUI will ever be.

sudo pacman -S "software"

sudo pacman -Syyu to upgrade your software base

Leave anyone on Windows needing to capture a video.

I don't understand.

Fucking this.

OP, what your feeble mind doesn't seem to understand is that the GNU/Linux CLI is more powerful than any GUI, and it's much easier to tell someone to copy and paste a couple of lines instead of holding their hand through a GUI, hoping they don't absentmindedly fuck up somewhere along the way.

If Window had anything like your typical GNU/Linux CLI, you would be seeing instructions like that for it too.
But you won't, because Windows is stuck with an impotent CLI, so 20-click GUI screenshot tutorial it is.

It's a video of everything OP complained that had to be done using a terminal.

Bu-but GNU/linux is user friendly!!!

>user friendly
OK, what version of Windows are you on?
Good, click the start menu, look for a menu that says something something.
Oh, it's not in English?
(googles)
Right, it should say una qualquier cosa qualquier.
Then press Ctrl-f, type in smargleblor and see if there are any yellow or red boxes.
Right click the third column of the first one and click modify.
Sorry, I meant cambiar.
It's not there?
Wait, is your copy of Windows Professional edition or Home edition?
Never mind, then. Google smargleblor modifier pro and start downloading.
Oh, don't worry, we'll probably be done in 20 minutes.

>not user friendly
Aight, you're using Ubuntu, was it?
Type this in:
apt-get install smargleblor-util
smarglefix -iwtcird --force
No problem, ttyl.

I archived your memes :3

Die you fucking Barneyfag
