How does AMD even stay afloat?

inb4 Ashes of Singularity

That's not a performance chart, it's a marketshare chart.

They produce the gpu for pretty much every game console
They still have a lot of server related sales

nvidia antitrust bux

They're still selling APUs, graphics cards sales have gone up, consoles, and servers

AoS pops up in every Nvidia vs AMD thread. Just give it time.

How do either of them stay alive when we got superior Intel Integrated graphics.

>tfw Nvidia will release a 1060 thatll kill the rx480 in sales despite shittier performance

Honestly after the 480 disaster, it's all ogre. That line is going to hit bottom and AMD will be finished in the consumer GPU market.

Hitman
Warhammer total war

Because they won the entire console market.

there is a GPU general already

Fanboys and lies. The brand only exists to make poorfags think they are getting good value for their money.

Apple, consoles and a few other things.

ASHES

Pre-built gaming PCs usually have nvidia graphics, and despite what Sup Forums feels, far more of this are sold than self built ones.

Just look at Alienware, each one features Nvidia graphics.

It's funny how people forget history.

AMD keeps Intel in step. They've sued Intel on several occasions, and won or settled each time.

nVidia had the Ti4600, ATI the 9800xt
nVidia failed with the 5600's. ATI didn't with the x800/x850's.

Then the 6800's came out. It was hard for ATI to compete after that. Not impossible, but hard. ATI saw the writing on the wall, and sold to AMD. In this, AMD got what it wanted most - integrated graphics knowledge. Even if it was an over-reach by AMD.

However, while loosing in the desktop GPU market, they have APU's and offer custom silicon. Intel has nothing to offer in terms of GPU performance. At least, not for a few more generations.

ATI hardware was in the Xbox 360 and the PS3 (I think). AMD is in both the PS4 and Xbox One, and will be for the refresh of these lines next year.

So how does AMD compete? APU's. VDI becomes more and more of a thing, and AMD's server and embedded stuff will keep them afloat.

tl;dr - The desktop graphics card isn't the only market, and AMD keeps nVidia / Intel honest(ish).

its funny how none of that is actually fucking relevant

but in asses of singularity nv gets btfo so

ITT: Newags giving a namefag attention

Consoles, they supply more GPU's then nvidia every day of the week.

Except it's all relevant. It's how AMD is still alive, and how it helps the consumer.

...They aren't. Look at their financials.

If people don't buy the 480 in huge numbers AMD is actually finished.

While it may be true, the reality is that it doesn't matter.
AMD is bleeding $100 million+ in the red every quarter since like 2014.

The truth. I don't want AMD to go under, but the 480 is so fucking underwhelming that things are not looking good.

They own the poorfag PC market and the console market. PS4, XBONE and Wii-U all have integrated AMD chips.

The 480 is what it was advertised to be.
Problem is that, like I said at the time, that fucking dx12 ashes benchmark is so unrepresentative it might as well be pure fantasy.

I like how that chart goes from 15 to 85 percent. It makes it look much worse than it actually is.

But then again, this is a shill thread made by a shitposter.
