Why would you build houses out of anything else than wood? It's understandable why commieblocks and other larger buildings aren't made of wood but for anything smaller it's a great choice.

>beautiful

>Whats up with americans?
central-US tornadoes have winds that are typically 125-175 mph on the ground (200 - 280 kph)
it isn't cost-effective to try to build houses to withstand that

Are you retarded? Bricks aren't going to save you from a tornado.

Plus why the fuck do you THINK houses are made of wood here?

>implying wood grain isn't beautiful

Holds up better than brick, and is cheaper to fix or rebuild.

Why not build domed hobbit holes, wouldn't the wind like blow over the house and shit

Dont forget tornadic wind speeds, especially inside the occasional multi-vortex tornado, easily reach twice that.
Such tornadoes have been known to scour soil from the surface of the ground, completely pulverize everything they touch, fling fully loaded rail cars miles through the air, there was one that even took a 2 million pound (~900,000kg) oil drilling derrick, tore it off its mounts, and rolled it 3 times along the ground.

Read some of the descriptions of that these tornadoes did.

See the above aforementioned soil scouring. Not to mention I dont think the ground out in the midwest is exactly suitable for making structures like that.

They never read about the three little pigs.

Also,
>very strong for its weight
>very tough, try hitting a 2x4 with a sledgehammer

The americans ate the three little pigs.

I always laugh when I see burgers destroying their shitty plywood walls with hammers.

I saw a post on reddit about a guy who locked himself in the bathroom and the lock broke or whatever.
He got out by tearing a hole in the wall.
The fucking wall was weaker than the door.

I'm surrounded by brick and I can rest assured that it won't break apart during a storm or completely burn down in a fire.

You fucking morons. A dome shaped building is far superior in every way to your stupid stick houses. Domes are literally disaster proof. Concrete and steel rebar domed structure can survive any tornado and hurricane, has better insulation properties, is more efficient to heat and cool, etc etc etc. Domes > your stick shit houses.

>tfw you have an old brick house in florida
>tfw it's a flimsy piece of shit
>tfw I replaced the shitty collapsed cast iron pipes with only a 16oz hammer, plumber's wrench and some gloves.

Is no one going to comment on the fact that, that is a fucking bird?

>Live literally anywhere near a river
>Shit floods every year
Why

kek

OK there trust fund tommy.

>I'm an uneducated luddite on Sup Forums
Why?

kek

Americans don't even got money to buy wood houses, leave proper houses aside.

This, living in a paper house must be fun kek

But it's inefficient use of space both land wise and living space wise.

Yep, they wasted their money on """"""luxury""""""" SUVs.

why did you use two meme arrows?

I want to fuck that bird

because you live near a river

same desu
