You just said a 1080 build, why not get a 1080p monitor?

Retard.

Dell U2515H

>1080 dinar
LOL poor serb shit

At least 3 rx 480s to compliment the 1080
oh and 2 bags of doritos

Budget?

Acer's 1440p 144Hz IPS is the best but the quality control is shit.

this
I have 3x U2515H. Super recommended. Right now I still use my 970. Thinking about waiting for a 1080ti

>144Hz IPS
These are meme tier. Worst looking IPS monitors ever.

Yeah, you're better off getting the BenQ XL2730Z if you want a decent looking gaming monitor. It's TN but one of the best looking TNs around, and cheaper than the IPS 'gaming' meme monitors.

I have a predator x34, and as far as I can tell the colors are just as fine as my 10 year old tn panel it replaced. pretty sure IPS is a meme that needs to go away unless maybe you're into video production

>Budget?

Anything around $200 - $350?

>pretty sure IPS is a meme that needs to go away
Then you've never had a good IPS monitor, friendo. There's no such thing for gaymes though, unfortunately.

what's wrong with IPS for gaming? is a few more ms really that noticeable?
really wish there was a monitor that could have both good color reproduction and 144Hz

what are some of the best $200-$300 budget 1080p IPS monitors then?

Dell U2414H

If you extend your budget to 350 USD you can pick up a U2515H which is fantastic.

backlight bleed

Bought a refurb ASUS 1440p 144hz gsync monitor for 450 from newegg. Couldn't be happier, even had the plastic on the back still on it, though i do wish i got the IPS instead. Woulda cost me double though

This rog swift is god tier

34" with a gtx 1080 or 27" 144hz with a 1070

help

Picking up 2x U2515H today to replace my 23" 1080p and 22" 720p. Pretty hyped

OP, do you give a shit about gsync?

Nope

>Dell U2515H
I bought the asus version (PB258Q) which uses the same panel but drops the USB hub and the Displayport out (it still has DP in however).

Two of them for $265 each. $530 total.

I upgraded from a 24" 1920x1080 and 19" 1280x1024 to these dual 25" 2560x1440>

Difference is pretty astounding.

Is the Asus MG278Q good shit for 1440p?

Then just get a 1440p freesync monitor with the lowest input lag you can get. I know most will recommend IPS, but I just don't like it for gaming. If you're doing color work sure, go for IPS.

Spend the extra $150+ saved on something else for your PC or gasp..some games.

I own one and yes, they are solid. If you are unlucky and get one with bad backlight bleed then return it and hopefully get a better one. These can be had for under $400 regularly on sale. Great build quality and has the ergo features that the ROG Swift has basically. Rotating base, height adjustment, etc.

Other devices also look pretty good on it even though they are non-native res, like 1080p. My consoles look fine even up close.

Ever thought of becoming a CRT fag?

What does your build look like, OP? I'm about to do a 1080 build-I really want to do Mini-ITX but I keep thinking I'll end up going SLI.

Ok, real questions here:

Best IPS 1080p

Best TN 1080p

Best IPS 1440p

Best TN 1440p

Best IPS 4K

Best TN 4K

>25"
have some self respect

are you seriously implying there is a huge difference between 117 DPI (25") and 108 DPI (27")?

i cant see going under 27" if you're going to bother with a high end system

my dad has the BenQ BL3201PH. not gonna lie i'm pretty jealous. it looks fucking incredible. we watched some 4k sample videos of nature and it looks like an iguana is going to walk through the fucking screen. basically a portal to another place shaped like a screen.

Well i measured and for my desk 2 27" wouldnt fit but 2 25" would.

Im not sticking with 1080p just because 27" exists. I have no problems with 2560x1440 on a 25" and it was pretty cheap too, $265 for an IPS panel.

>1080p
>not 1200p

>1440p
>not 1600p

>4k
>not 2400p

fucking amateur

my mistake i thought we were talking 4k for some reason. 1440p will look very sharp on 25"

Then just replace them with yours all tell me. As I'm an amateur, I still have to learn from such a God like you, memaster. Please, teach me, show me, illuminate me with the best TN/IPS monitors you could think of.
