Point me in the direction of a good upgrade

Here are my specs:

>i7-970 stock clocks
>16 gigs of DDR3 RAM
>2TB HDD/ 60gb SSD
>Had 780, sold it for $200 and bought a 480 yday
>650w PSU

Main Display is 1 1440x900 90Hz and 1 1080p display.

So far system has been running fine for the past five years.
Nothings really held it back and I have yet to, encounter a game/program that I could not handle. As of late, it appears that chrome and a few other programs seem to be only utilize one thread out of the 12, it maxes out the single thread pretty quickly and it becomes a stutterfest. It didn't do that before on Windows 8 or seven, maybe it's windows 10 that's doing it or maybe it's just old. Also, it's seems to output a fuckton of heat now. Was thinking about selling the system and grabbing a third or fourth GEN i7 with 6 cores because they about $100 on eBay. What do you think?

Upgrade the ssd or actually just rebuild.

OP's pic looks like what would happen if you bred a rat with a human. Seriously, what is that thing?

Looks like it has some sort of neo-plague

No idea but i would fuck it. Hard.

Looks like a fucking who from Whoville. Botton nose buck teeth big eyes

Trade the RX 480 for a GTX 780 ;^)

>upgrade the SSD

Could that really be the source of my issues and could alleviate the problem? If so that's great. Pic related is my current SSD that I've been using for years. Or could it be windows 10 and shitty "optimizations"?

>rebuild the system
Like upgrading to a new DDR4 system? Or did you mean with a newer CPU?

you have no taste user...I would wreck that. I'd hit it like the fist of an angry god smiting a particularly nasty sinner.

Get something like a i7 6800k or better.. wait for Zen

But you never will. Never anything even close to her. If you are lucky you will end up with a 5/10 where you have to not think about certain aspects of her to maintain an erection through sex.

Should not be stuttering with specs like that. Check the health of your SSD with HDtune or whatever.

Maybe you should replace it. Either way you should definitely do a clean install of windows.

dude...im already married to a ginger irish girl. but stay jelly kid.

>projecting

Yeah I'm starting to think it's the solid-state.
I was just talking with a guy who went from a 970 to a 3930k and he said that he's still running it and he has not noticed the performance difference at all.

I don't know any good brands for a new SSD, so I think I'm just going to get a newer Kingston model, but I heard that they were changing out the premium parts for shitty cheap Chinese ones. Fuck

Anything is going to be better than a broken one.

I'd have a look at Sandisk. They have some good deals.

I have the Sandisk SSD Plus in my desktop and the new kingston (uv 400) in my laptop, no problems so far.

Just nutted but I'm still tuggin, doing two on this bitch.
