see As for the carrier I would recommend Boost if you have sprint coverage where you live else look for another phone. I have them and use 50-70GB a month of mobile data and only pay $55/month. Speeds aren't too bad either, I get 8-12mbps at least where I live.

If your budget is that much then wait for the nexus. They will probably release one larger and smaller one again this year, so you should go with the larger one for the better specs.

Nexus Moto X Pure/Style ONLY if it's significantly cheaper. I have the moto x and it's a great phone but it's fragile and since the motorola sale to lenovo their support has been horrible. It's a great device but the company sucks and at this point we don't even know if we're going to get android n officially. Luckily, there is a very large aftermarket developer scene so you will get updates in the form of custom roms.
If you can though, go for the nexus. It's basically better than the moto x in every way with the exception of moto features.

The redmi phones face the same issues that samsung phones face, with decent hardware but an incredibly invasive and taxing android skin that makes the performance of the phone lag and slow over time. Not to mention the fact that all the chink phones are trying to emulate an iOS-like experience instead of embracing android.
Moto g will probably also have more developer support on sites like xda for rooting/custom roms.

To be fair there are some reliable chink brands that have a few phones that aren't shit (ie zte warp elite) but they are diamonds on the rough. In general you should stick with notable non-chink brands or research a chinkphone yourself and read the legitimate reviews such as the "purchase verified" ones on amazon.
NEVER buy chinkshit outside of Amazon unless you want to get ripped off as those 3rd party websites are known for having fake reviews.

Release cycle is every September. SE was the exception because it is a "budget" spinoff model. 7 is just going to be a natural evolution from the 6S, but it'll appeal to the "muh megapixels" crowd and it comes in Space Black. If you're in the iPhone market now and have the bank for something new, there's no question. If you can hold off, wait for the 2017 model.
