Battery
Fast Notepad
Flashlight (if not already included on your phone)
Internet Speed Meter
Moon+ Reader
Opera Mini (use when internet is slow)
Superbeam
ZArchiver
zetaTorrent

All free btw but I found the paid version of Moon+ Reader and zetaTorrent to be worth it imho.

AdAway
Amaze file manager
BlackPlayer (beta)
Lightning (WebView-based, so keep WebView updated for your security)

Solid Explorer
MacroDroid
DriveDroid
F-Droid

Please post more recommendations. The wiki looks outdated.

What xposed modules are you guys using?

At least it's not an iPhone.

What is all this fuss about BlackPlayer? Isn't Poweramp exactly the same player but with a lot of available skins because of it being older?

Newpipe
Adaway
Material Audiobook Player
Transdroid
Flud
FBReader
MuPDF
AntennaPod
K-9 Mail
KeePass2Android

BlackPlayer is free.

If you already purchased Poweramp, Black Player is redundant but if you'll pop your paid music player cherry they are both viable options.

(I'd still go with Poweramp)

Flud is better.

Strangely, most of the salty ones are pajeets.

Flud is hella dank, I'm actually taken aback by its quality.

SuperSu
Root Checker
Lucky Patcher
Root Browser
Busybox

Xposed isn't used much anymore since Android 6.0 came out and did most of what we needed Xposed for in the first place.

I think by Android 8.0, nobody will need Xposed anymore.

How does it compare to dashchan?

How many chans does it support?

It's the best Sup Forums app but it only supports 4chins.

Just 4chins I think. I used dashchan but didn't like the UI.

Android noob here! How do I update WebView on my phone?

If you have Android 5.0 and up, the Play Store updates it for you.

What about jellybean?

Is there a way to do it manually?

Jellybean doesnt support webview at all. You need to upgrade your shitty phone to 5.0 or higher.

I hadn't seen ES file explorer once. Shame on you guys

Not really.

You have to get it from Google's Play Store page first.

It was decent before, but it's a botnet now. Haven't you seen the news?

That is botnet adware now. We use Solid, Amaze, Total Commander or any of the open source file managers.

It comes with your Android 5.0+ installation as a system app you dumb nigger. The Play Store just updates it for you like every other updatable system app.

Huh, that's weird. I had to get it from their page - every other app had updates available, but not WebView. I had to install it from there first, and then it started updating automatically.

Sounds like you are running a custom ROM that doesn't have webview. Webview is a official system app that comes with any official Android factory image.

Yeah, I run CM.

But still, there is a WebView application in the /system/ folder..

CM doesn't come with Gapps by default, which is how you get Webview to replace the AOSP webview which doesn't get updated unless you update AOSP.

Didn't know about that..

Thanks

Nice list so far, guys

most android file managers have the ability to move files to the trash.
