Winzip blows and why need to pirate WinRAR when 7zip does it, better, for free.
>better ?
WinRAR
There is no substitute.
>7zip
>been that version for a fucking decade now
>when is 8zip coming
why would you need to pirate winrar, it's free
Had more compression options

doesn't take away from functionality. my point stands
You don't belong here friend
I recently tried peazip and it's quite nice. I'm surprised it's not recommended more often, considering its features. Performance on my machine is pretty much on par with 7zip.
gzip/gunzip
...
those
and this one
They all work fine. This is a dumb thread
WinRAR is to 7-Zip what Windows is to Linux
Winrar because it was one of or maybe even the only one that could extract large .iso that was split into 40 pieces.
Other than that, 7zip
Winrar
7zip is fugly as fuck, ill probably use it on terminal or console but not the gui
You asked why someone would pirate it, his response was that its nagware not that its functionally inferior. So his point still stands too.
Same, along with zip/unzip for actual .zip files.
tar
peazip.
7zip is okay, its UI is a bit shit.
Winrar is just old and shit
are you serious about winzip.
what the fuck is winzip
The commandline tools for each kind of compression. Lot easier than CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK on some bloated, shitty GUI.
>not listing bandizip
yeah cause taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap, a bunch of reading first in case you dont remember a tools commands and syntax is so much better
Tar and gzip of course.
WinRar. The interface is way better and more intuitive than on 7zip imo.
false. check again, pedro
7zip. 99.9999% of the time I just extract or zip from context menu without actually using the UI so I couldn't care less about that aspect of it (although it does have a nicer UI than WinRAR).
