It's a card that performs about 10% better than the 480 for 33% more money.
Comparing RRP anyway, the jew prices are always inflated.

>already sold out
>the budget version with shitty plastic cooler

Also can't be SLI'd

This
Nvidia bots on full damage control mode

Literally 120% more efficient than 480 and cheaper

>cheaper

>cheaper
No.

God damn what a great week. Ghostbusters is complete piece of shit and AMD's flagship is blown away by stripped down budget card.

Why is the RX 480 so overprices in Europe compared to alternatives? The 1060 is exactly the same price even though it has higher MSRP, and the 970 is even much cheaper even though it also has higher MSRP

Because AMD doesn't care about selling their products

>flagship
You don't know what that means, do you, dumb frogposter?

480 isn't flagship. Fury X is until vega

It will depend on the price.
There are rumors that it will be same as rx480 or €100 more. It all depends on how it retails. It also seems to be releasing at the end of August for non reference so you can get the non reference RX480 like 3 weeks before.
Right now I still leaning towards the RX480 given the 8GB and the potential to CF in the future with a cheap second-hand one but it ultimately depends on real retail price of both cards.

why would i buy a 1060 or rx480 when i can spend more money on a faster 1070?

Why get a 1070 when you can spend more money on a faster 1080?

why get a 1080 when you can wait for vega

On the basis of today's reviews of the 1060 I pre ordered my Nitro+

There is more to a GPU than just a 10% score increase in DX11 games.

A whole bunch of nothing. You get a GPU that has similar or slightly better performance than 480 for a little more USD.

If anything Nvidia got fucked over in $199-249. They couldn't get away with MSRP of $299.

The real winner is the $199-249 demographic who have a compelling option over their ancient GTX 660 and HD 7850 in their price range.

question
is it true that the boost clock of 1060 is 1938mhz?

>only about 150 sold in total
>no stock left
>either pay over 300€ or get some noname chinkshit version
the wait for aftermarket RX480 continues, but the 280€ are same as the RX launch price, so now i just gotta wait for more reviews to settle on one of those (or a price drop on either)
