Some new level of hipocracy there. Was the whole encryption thing just a media stunt?

Where should i get my vydia now?

Grab as mucj as you can get from a fan-created mirror before they take it down: kickass.website

Sorry user. Wrong link. Here's the proper one: kickasstorrents.website/

>was it just a media stunt
Of course, they gained positive publicity by not giving in to the fbi.

And here they stop losing sales from people pirating.

Apple is hypocritical as fuck

Someone needs to call them out on their hipocracy. Not many people know about this.

>Was the whole encryption thing just a media stunt?
Don't tell me that you, for a second, even remotely believed Apple cared about any of that bullshit beyond what they could get out of it in the form of publicity.

Apple is a Media and Marketing company, now. Shit, iAds and their trackings are even more privacy raping than Google's or Microsoft's. They lost money by KAT being around, as people people would rather torrent then buy from iTunes, they saw the opportunity to take them down, ergo, they did. Didn't surprise me in the least.

It goes like this
>Government: Give us that data
>Apple:We don't want to, legally we don't have to comply
>Government: We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Give us the data and we'll let you tell the public you refused.
>Apple: O-Okay senpai

Incorrect spelling.

Apple have screwed over their consumers for years.
From arbitrary OS version locks, to banning third party dvd-burners.

People have spell-checking these days.
So any instances of incorrect spelling can be attributed to being intentional, or people not giving a fuck.
Either case, you look stupider for it for pointing them out.

Their customers don't care, they just want the iPhone because apple. They can't even justify spending so much on a phone and don't care because "Apple".

No u

Do I now.

Everyone loves these threads because that's such a kickass logo, gotta admit some GTA V retro style to it

The hollywood industry is in a severe crisis
Netflix and apple stock are in hot water, Microsoft noticing the scale of torrenting and clean win7 installs, combined with the data from win10

>high quality hardware
>iMessage is essentially ubiquitous
>Apple Pay is convenient and rising in popularity
>gets updates on schedule unlike android
>plenty of popular accessories made for the phone
>high quality camera

>no reason

>stupider

holy crap

>Was the whole encryption thing just a media stunt?
My two cents it was a stunt to make people think apple was secure. Prior to windows 10 the iphone was considered by some the worst invasion of privacy.

APPLE.
DOES.
NOT.
PROTECT.
YOU.
AGAINST.
SOCIAL ENGINEERING.

Say it with me. Dumb ukranin owner of KAT got nabbed with playground tactics.

>high quality hardware
not really, manufactured by the same chinks who make android phones
>iMessage and apple pay
Memes
>updates on schedule
And if your phone isn't from this year the update degrades your experience
>plenty of accessories
Most of which are just shitty novelty cases
>high quality camera
No smartphone's camera is high quality given how small the aperture has to be

This probably b8, but I'm bored on the bus

>high quality hardware
Keeping the controversies like the bottom falling off MacBooks because the glue would melt or the bending iPhone aside; there are plenty of other phones that are "quality" that also don't cost $700
the nexus 5&6 p is pretty good, the moto x, htc one, etc.
>iMessage is essentially ubiquitous
Among iphones. You will literally only find iMessage among iphones, nowhere else.
It may be integrated with other programs but usually, most companies don't limit the use of their program to whether you have iMessage or not, that would just be poor business practice.
>Apple Pay is convenient and rising in popularity
They also have credit/debit cards that you touch instead of swiping.
Literally the only upside to apple pay is not having to carry around your credit card into a Starbucks or wallmart.
>gets updates on schedule unlike android
True, not much to say here, though, when they release an update something usually goes wrong, like when they forcefully gave all users that u2 album, which in turn, gave them a platinum record because it was one of the most downloaded albums, or they change the layout completely and screw everyone over, like facebook.
>plenty of popular accessories made for the phone
One of the only upsides to it. Though, popularity does not equate to quality. Pewdiepie is pretty popular, doesn't mean he's necessarily good, heck, cocacola sells sugar water and that's pretty dqmn popular.
>high quality camera
True, but many other phones also have this, and don't cost an entire paycheck and a half.

To finalize:
Decent (and I mean decent, it's not amazing) phone
Shifty company
Overpriced for what it gives.
A lot of people enjoy it because it's apple and a lot of other people also have it, people like to be part of groups and I must say, apple really made a dedicated fan base for selling overpriced hardware that tries to be pretentious.

Nexus devices get updates like iPhone.

Shitty company*

Such a shame, kat had a great book repository.

also poland is going to extradite the guy but poland won't extradite a pedo like roman polanski...

wtf

So what tracker we is using now?

demonoid

if you need something from kat you better get it now nerds

kickass.la

pedos don't make you lose money

why? theirs heaps of mirrors.

A real shame that tpb and kat are dead now, no other sites where as good as them

en.booksee.org/

should've bought an iphone

>major torrent site seized
>9001 shady mirrors pop up the next day
>no verification at all

Why, for the love of god, do the people hosting these huge sites not have a public key available that they can use to verify the authenticity of the inevitable mirrors when the FBI starts crawling up their ass?

Hi, i am owner of Private™ Torrents™.COM™

I use itunes via normieWeb (an IP)
I use Private™ Torrents™.COM™ facebook page via VPN (different IP)

Never detected.

>gained positive publicity
Are you retarded? Normies don't care about privacy. Every news source except for a few tech ones was shitting on Apple. Trump said to boycott Apple products and use Samsung instead.

'stupider' is definitely a word

Look it up

Two entirely different situations you underage fuckcunt.

> Was the whole encryption thing just a media stunt?
did you believe that even for a second?

WAIT WHAT? They snatched it from a fucking iTunes purchase? hahahahahhaha what a fucking idiot

>Trump said to boycott Apple products and use Samsung instead.
>Trump

Like the average normie gives a shit about Trump.

>Like the average normie gives a shit about Trump.

Have you followed the presidential campaigns at all? For some reason, they kind of do...

Obviously they know that a backdoor for 'law' enforcement also means a backdoor for hackers, and Apple sure as fuck doesn't want people jailbreaking their products.

He bought into "Apple protects their users privacy" meme

mass immigration to i2p when?

>What leaves your device is no longer subject to privacy.
>Servers are treated differently from personal devices

When the Feds come with a court order for the logs on your servers you have to give them up. When they come asking you to decrypt your phone you have the right to deny them, if the only way to unlock it is with a password stored only in your head. No police or government agency has the right to force you to divulge information in your brain which can self incriminate. They can however take your DNA, blood, picture, fingerprints, etc. The fifth amendment may not mean much to statists these days but it is an inalienable right.
Also when a cop knocks on your door asking to come inside, he legally cannot come in unless he hears or sees something warranting his entry (if he doesn't have a warrant).

Why hasn't someone done a TPB and made an offline archive of it?

>unless he hears or sees something warranting his entry

"durr i think i herd a weird sound!"

"i can smeelz the marijewannas"

>not living where the weed is legal

This is why you record them. Not to mention any """"""""evidence"""""""" they find is inadmissible because of an illegal search. This situation does however become less in your favor if you are out and about in your own car out in public. The reason being is that you are in public and as such expectation of privacy drops. Btw God bless America and the ability to sue.

>smoking at all

>Like the average normie gives a shit about Trump.
KEK, have you seen the polls?

Also
we're amidst the slow beginning of a new era in piracy.

>we're amidst the slow beginning of a new era in piracy

Please elaborate?

>leaving your house ever

old methods of piracy are slowly dying/getting shut down. I don't know where it's going but we're making small strides forward. We saw that with magnet links and ever so slow move to decentralised web systems.

Who knows what we will be using in 5/10 years to pirate loli porn

>old methods of piracy are slowly dying/getting shut down
Nope. So long as the Human species isn't run by a unified government, so long as national interests exist and political division and conflict exists,
so will the "old ways" remain to spite opposition.
Sure the tools used to relay information and data are evolving into being more anonymous and secure,
but that doesn't mean the death of the old.
In fact, some old technologies that have been proclaimed "dead" have been reviving in the last year or two due to the Snowden shit and this increased anti-piracy activity.

Apple gave information about apple id logs that you couldn't ever get by social engineering.

>Some new level of hipocracy there. Was the whole encryption thing just a media stunt?
wow OP congrats, great thinking there. Did you come up with that yourself? Very smart.

>Government wants to catch owner of KAT
>Asks FB for the owner of KAT's fb page mail, gets it from FB
>Its from iCloud
>Government asks Apple, Apple gives them the mails

Apple did exactly as they say in their police. They will give any data they have, as long as there's a warrant. They won't give nor create means to get data they don't have (for example, encrypted messages).

Imo, Apple is not at fault there. The US government arresting someone in Poland is the bizarre thing.

poland here awe are a very good goy
i didn't realize we were that far in being a good goy though

Hollywood execs probably have some distant relatives in Poland. Only way I can think that such cooperation could occur.

Nexus phones do get recent updates. What the fuck are you talking about?

>Backdoor vs Purchase log
If apple created a backdoor as the FBI asked, that backdoor would be there for everyone. Sure, they could push an update that removes it, but the FBI wanted them to keep it there for personal use.
With the IP thing, it's still not cool of them, but it doesn't really have much to do with privacy. IP addresses are public for the whole world to see. They just handed the log of the purchase over. It's like asking for a receipt at the grocery store then handing it to someone else so that they can see how much things cost. The IP address was only given to prove the correlation

stupid faggott also got found through whois lookup. How the fuck do you make millions through illegal shit and not anonymize your domain

No. Apple could have easily provided a backdoor to just that one device, there is no reason why it would all of a sudden have to be pushed out.

And no one with a brain would think they are any better. Apple already provided law enforcement with everything in icloud and shit when asked.

Ya

Cnn made a poll and 70% if americans favored Trump in it

They deleted the poll

>iMessage is essentially ubiquitous

ya naahhh

>It goes like this
>>Government: Give us that data
>>Apple: Okay bro.
Fixed.

>runs gigantomannical torrent network
>still buys from apple
wtf? does. not. compute.

I would think quality file from a dedicated source, but then again there's no other reason

On Steam. If you can't afford it, try G2A

But there is no Jews left in Poland...

>Imo, Apple is not at fault there.
The point is buying Apple and hosting your shit to Icloud is officially unsafe. More importantly Apple bows down to the government if they have warrent or perrmision from law to search.

If you truly care about your privacy at this point, you wouldn't rely on Apple or any other company to protect you.

>Icloud is officially unsafe
HAS ALWAYS BEEN

There updates slow down phones a lot, just look at the iPhone 4s.

There is Samsung Pay, and Android Pay.

>>Icloud is officially unsafe
>HAS ALWAYS BEEN
As is every cloud service.
Since the cloud servers are not on your property you have to right to or expectation of privacy. The Feds don't even need a warrant.
As for security the "Celebgate" thing was done with social engineering to collect passwords, a collation of which was used to access the pics.

but everything are worldwide.

The thing is that Apple pushes the cloud meme for their storage, and for many other services. So Fed can siege what you downloaded on Appstore, or icloud storage.

IOS encrypted is only great because ARM licensing makes so Apple can encrypted their hardware and software together in sync. . Apple shilling the cloud meme for Iphone ruins this.

>It's okay when US Navy does it

Since they're being sued, I don't think it's ok

how can I archive all the torrents that one of the kat mirrors has? how much space would I need for this?

Germany is only doing this because the US took down KAT and now Germans can't get their free shit.

Listen here you stupid fucks.
Apple always complies with legally given warrants.
In his case, they had a warrant asking for information about IPs that had logged into a specific iCloud email. Apple had this information and provided it.

In the case of the san bernardino shooter, they actually gave the feds the entire contents of his iCloud account that was not zero knowledge encrypted. Where they drew the line is the phone itself, which they didn't have the passcode of and couldn't unlock (unless they were to build a backdoored version of the iPhone operating system, which would be horrible precedent).

I'm glad this got down, fuck you pirates and thiefs. Torrenting should be removed from Normies.

>>Government: Give us that data
>>Apple: Okay bro, need anybody else's info? These dumb fucks just give it to me.
Fixed again.

Yet another dumbfuck in this thread

There are lots of words. Doesn't mean you should use them. Ain't dat the truth.

> What is a subpoena.

>Apple gave information about apple id logs that you couldn't ever get by social engineering.

They gave over information requested in a warrant, as will any technology company you have an account with.

This has nothing to do with the encryption debate, all the FBI did was match IP logs to confirm this was the guy who logged into Kickass as the site owner.

It's essentially the same as the FBI getting a warrant from the Post Office to get the ownership details of a PO box that's full of meth.

>Apple bows down to the government if they have warrent or perrmision from law to search.

Warrant compliance isn't optional, you idiot.
If you've got an account with pretty much ANY American based company, US law enforcement can get a warrant to access your information, and the company will provide it.

One rare exception is the case Microsoft is fighting, because US law enforcement demanded access to various cloud services that are hosted in Ireland, which Microsoft believes is out of the jurisdiction of the warrant. This case is yet to be decided, pretty sure it's going all the way to the Supreme Court.

Not everyone posts from a phone.

Neither do pirates

What's your point? That you are using a browser from the 90's?

Apple and any company are obliged to colaborate when transactions are involved...

The tools are exactly what he was talking about

> Dirty up your donation account for piracy by buying shit off itunes.

They should jail him for being stupid alone.

What track did he buy? I want to know

> baiting the mast3rb8&

I mostly agree with this person
