Why are Android music players so universally terrible?

Why are Android music players so universally terrible?

>Special snowflake UI that doesn't follow any Android design or logic
>Showing pictures of all the artists, most of which don't even have a picture
>Gapless doesn't work on most
>Using "Artist" instead of "Album Artist" for the metadata
>Trash UIs that barely function
>Many apps having simple features such as manually setting album art

I mean even Apple got it right in 2007. Why the fuck can't Android developers get it right 10 years later? What the fuck is wrong with them?

Sounds like you're the problem desu

Werks 4 me.

just werks

What app is that?

Phonograph

Shuttle is another music player that follows material design guidelines

Not using Sony's music app which is the best

Just downloaded it and it even supports folder browsing.

I think I've found my new music player.

There's only like 2 apps that's play opus cmown

Does it show proper artwork tho?

I have image files set as artwork for my mp3 files, but shuttle doesn't update them, so I'm stuck with 1 image over 20 songs, 15 of which have different album art.

>Showing pictures of all the artists, most of which don't even have a picture

Did you disable something in the settings? The pictures should've been downloaded the moment you got internet.

idk, I embed my artwork and that works fine

>mp3 in 2016
>What the fuck is wrong with them?

I think it's not 2007 anymore.

Spotify is the only good music player on any platform...

Default player is pretty okay too though.

>all that blur
no thanks

Wtf is this shit? The default player is

I think he has a Huawei phone

Would explain why it looks so much like iOS desu

Yeah, EMUI 3.1. Its just called Music. I'd actually buy an iPhone if it wasn't so fucking limited in things you can and cant do. Huawei's EMUI is the second best thing.

>MY MP3S DON'T HAVE PROPER METADATA, WHY IS ANDROID SO SHIT.

Play music works just fine desu

musefag!

This, most of my music is in .m4a because of that. I use jetAudio and foobar. Foobar is still bad, but gets better with each update. For now, I'm looking for something decent

That album art resolution is absolutely atrocious.

>I'd actually buy an iPhone if it wasn't so fucking limited in things you can and cant do.
Same here. iPhones look nice but iOS can't even compete with Android in terms of functionality.

f2k mobile took so long but it was oh so worth it. It just werkz.

>not buying a separate music player to save phone battery

Werks like a champ

Try BubbleUPNP

Why would you care about artwork faggot? It's a fucking music player. Are you gonna stare at the cover all the fucking time? No

See

EMUI breaks standard Android functionality just to look/behave like IOS. It needs a special version of Xposed. It fucks up all icons of apps by wrapping them in square boxes *system-wide* (so also on other launchers and you're forced to use icon packs), etc.

Neutron Player master race.

Word.

The only problem is BT streaming seems a bit broken because the tags are not transferred properly.

I'm not a phone fag, can someone name me a good music player application that let's you remember where you were in your podcasts or radio shows so next time you fire it up it's where you left off?

That's why Poweramp exists

Is it possible to import your uploaded Google Music library to a player that doesn't have such an awful interface?

Free: foobar2000, AIMP, Youki, Capriccio

Paid: GoneMAD, Neutron, Poweramp

I pirated GoneMAD, it's pretty good.
