Speccy Thread - Summer hot edition

33~34° C room temperature, 36° C outside - that's my speccy, how is summer going for ya?

>inb4 poorfag without A/C
Purpousely opened all the windows, ran some games for 20 mins then let the temps settle down. I'm pretty content of the results.

wat do

...

Got the 1070 a couple days ago, still going through my games and changing the settings. Before, my old card (550 ti) would get into the upper 60's/low 70's, and the CPU would get into the 60's trying to keep up with semi-current games, even under medium settings. The highest I've seen the new card/CPU get up to under load is 47 with graphics on ultra. Quite happy with my purchase.

I've always wondered why I get this comment in speccy threads, even on Sup Forums.

Very happy with my MSI GTX 1080

Only on the 4790k, but hey, its a fucking monster and will be for a while more

Nope, that is straight from the package.

Even 2nd gen i7's barely bottleneck the 1080, you will be fine for awhile.

i meant on the 2500k , to keep up with the 1070

Hi

:)

yeah it is

since I'm being forced to upgrade, yes.

Ah, no not yet. Still putting it through its paces. I tend to buy games when they go on sale, and work through a backlog, so I guess the most recent game that I have that would be graphics intensive would be farcry primal. With the HD texture pack installed, I hover between 60 - 80 FPS without any CPU overclocking.

MSI GTX 1080 and 4790k bros

> blackbars

Which version should I have been using?

Pro.

Best combo

What benefit is there to using an inferiour version?
Pro doesn't even have all the enterprise group policy features I use.

I really hope these aren't your actual specs, otherwise you're a flaming homosexual.

Side fans work wonders for GPU temps, user.

Just got my shiny new EVGA GTX 1070 FTW this morning. It's nice.

Should I upgrade anything?
I only plan on getting a new case and an SSD + new hard drive.

...

1440p monitor soon.

>3.5

>6850k
user this just shows you're poor, stupid, or both.

6800k is $200 less and would give you identical framerates.
If you wanted the 40 PCI lanes then you should've gotten the 6900k or 6950x.

The 6850k is the worst one by far.

So user what are you?
Poor?
Or stupid?

...

Ambient is 28°C.
Unplugged all case fans cause not even those few cents for electricity are worth the 3-4 extra degrees. Will see how that changes when I'll get a Sup ForumsPU.

Why?

Waiting to upgrade HDD.

and my speccy....

Theres a storm passing and its quite comfy.

Why you want fixed voltage? Doesnt it have offset?

Can't really do offset efficiently without fixed as a reference point.

HP laptop here, runs well.

I just built this. Haven't even download speccy yet, it's still doing some updates.

Though even when I didn't have ac my temps didn't go up much. Maybe 2-3C idle and max 5C difference under load for both gpu and cpu.

Nothing.

1070 this August, if I can find one that is.

waiting on my 1080

1070s arent that hard to find

OP here,
to make the room as hot as i could for a July day, in the afternoon, then some gaming to make the system hot then cool down.

To see what idle temp i could get after some use in a hot day. simple as that. Felt that having it "cool down" from gaming would be more accurate than "heat up" from system off.
