TVs. what are the good ones

TVs. what are the good ones

hello

>TV in 2016

LUL

/thread

I have a feeling the built in apps will become unusable before the TV starts to fail.

Smart TVs are a scam.

>NEET in 2016
>no friends in 2016
>implying TVs are only for TV in 3026

>not having an HTPC hooked up to a TV
What a faggot you are.

>Watching kino and series on anything other than a properly calibrated TV with at least 50"

You disgust me.

>watching a movie on a monitor

you're a waste of flesh

>watching movies

Is this 2010? lol

panasonic plasma but they are being stopped from production

They stopped production years ago.

t. game of thrones fan

It's possible to be into nerd shit and have a social life regardless user
Besides, every vidya game that can be played comfortably with a controller is better on a yuge TV

>plasma

How is having a tv related to being a normalfag?

Also, this

Was thinking of getting a Panasonic CX700, seems pretty good for the price.

>How is having a tv related to being a normalfag?

sitting with friends and family on a couch, watching things together

This
>Buying a TV for others to watch
>Not just getting a 50 incher for your own kino and chinese cartoons

Kill yourself

>Kill yourself

Why would I?

>Stuck pixels: 2
>impossible to spot from normal viewing distance
>as if that makes it acceptable
0/10 would not trust the review at all

Agree with you, own a Philips 40" smart tv and it runs like shit, should have bought a dumb tv and bought an Android box next to it.

CRT master race. LCD and plasma and "smart" TVs were a mistake.

Those Vizios are ok. Their remotes blow but if your primary viewing is a streaming box (Apple, Chromecast, firestick, etc), they produce a nice quality. And I've never been dissatisfied by a Samsung TV.

does a 65 inch dumb 4k tv exist

How else will my /vr/ consoles play without a television set?

nobody even sells it
i couldn't even find a price for it

panasonic plasma is shit
i still have mine , get 7 blinks of death all the time, have to unplug it for hours to get it to power on
generates enough heat to heat the entire fucking house , has 7 fans in it , getting noisy now
bad image burn in

always hated this thing,
just hope it lasts a little longer so i can afford to replace it with a nice 4k OLED
till prices come down on 55" 4k OLED

It's stupid to mention it in the first place, if you get a defective model you just return it.

Maybe not in burger land? Here they sell for ~700 euros for the 40" model.

also weighs a ton going to need 4 people just to get it down from the wall

i looked on the internet, google has zero results ,nobody online sells it anywhere

google shopping filter gets no results neither does amazon or ebay

how much a a 55" model now?
and what it does not come in NTSC model?

I don't think it's stupid to mention. Even if you were planning on exchanging it, it's still worth noting if the company might have poor quality standards.

LG oled

this
but i heard they get image burn in easily ,can anyone confirm?

also still too early to invest that kind of $ in OLED tech

2015 models are not full HRD and still expensive new model is full HDR but too much $$ still

wait till HDR is standard and HDMi 2.0a ona ll TV's
perhaps one or 2 generations more then buy an OLED

get a TV with HDR it's the closest you can get to oled

I think the burn in is a meme, don't have one myself though. Planning to buy one on christmas.

>Smart TVs are a scam.

Pretty much.

home theatres are definitely worth it. just about as good an experience as a theatre without the rape.

i have a tv with built in ROKU

Despite the monitor being trash (but shit it was $250 for a 40") its pretty good

Off with your head weebfag

It's pretty hard to but a non-smart TV that isn't trash. Anything dumb tends to have a pretty rubbish image processor these days.

And the overall manufacturing quality tends to be worse.

yes they are
i never used it but LG web OS looks to be the best one thoguh, and now bravia's come with android and you can install kodi directly on the TV
but till better off buying a box ,but i think all TV are smart now so not like you can even avoid paying the extra money anymore
