do i win? I want cs go
Probably the best a poorfag build could get, IMO. Still gives room for expansion later as well.

72 cents over budget, disqualified.
and
and for a Gpu this
Used is always the way to go if you're spending less than $700. Not to mention, if you can scrounge up $60 more you can add an e5-2670 for 8 cores!
a gaming pc? resolution? wtf no info
>Total: $365.74
wat? You sure it's off? Definitely under $400 for me.
I meant the guy above I misclicked
In my country? Something like this. Real exchange rate attached.
>437$
just mail in the rebates its worth it poorfag
...
Half the rebates I've tried aren't honored and I recieve nothing without complaining to someone.
this.
10 bucks to complain on the phone for less than an hour is a whole lot better than I'm payed at work.
There you go son. This shit's gonna fly.

>AMD Athlon X4 880K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Why would you pick that CPU over the AMD FX 4350?
am I missing something? don't you need graphics to use a computer?
graphics built into the proc
Cheaper total cost of system, better single thread performance.
Pretty sure the FX series doesn't have integrated GPU.
lol, he appears to be relying on the integrated graphics of the motherboard, which is the ATI Radeon HD 3000. It might be able to play 1080p video.
The two CPUs are the same price. Single thread performance not better.
Single thread performance IS better, total system cost on the 880K is much lower. Compare motherboard costs too.
When you're done come back and suck some more dick.
you're wrong. The single thread performance of the MD FX 4350 is superior to the single thread performance of the Athlon X4 880K. Both CPUs cost $83. Comparable motherboards are same price range.
not really, that PSU is going to fry the shit out of it while the z420's delta electronics is going to hum along for 10 years without a hiccup
Even if that were true (and it's not), another reason would be that the 880K is lower TDP, thus enabling lower-cost system overall once again.

What is the L3 Cache Size of the Athlon-X4-880K?
PSU is OEM'd by FSP, Zalman is also a trusted brand. Don't get me wrong, Delta is better, but you're mischaracterizing things.
doesn't exist, doesn't need one to do better. get rekt
I just did a couple cheap builds for fun.
First build
AMD FX6300:£46
AM3+motherboard (Gigabyte) £20
8GB RAM £15
500GB Hard drive £10
R9 270X 4GB £54

Second side build:

Asus ITX motherboard £38

500GB HDD £10
Nvidia GTX 670:£60
EVGA 600W PSU £39

I really like your builds.
I too enjoy browsing for used parts. With eBay's buyer protection, it's actually okay for most things except hard drives.
I really like what you've done. I noticed you're using pounds. Can you help me put some ebay parts together for a rig using ebay usa?
I want some suggestions and I don't really want to spend more than $100 for my cpu and motherboard. What do you suggest?
>caring what it's for when it doesn't make enough of a difference to consider switching over
eh, you're right. I'm actually surprised that with less cache it does better in MC; that goes against intuition.
I any case I stand by the 880K choice; it's still just a better option for the cheap builds. It also comes with an objectively better cooler: youtu.be
OP if you're OK with buying used, look into grabbing up an old HP or Dell dual socket workstation - even as old as socket 775 will provide you with very good bang/buck performance and quality parts. The only difference is that you'll have to watch your single core performance because there's no way to OC and the stock speeds are lackluster - it won't be a good solution for ALL games, but it will actually perform better than my 880K at many NEWER games.
>smarter choice
>It also comes with an objectively better cooler
That doesn't have the clearance to accommodate ram in the form factor for which it was designed.
>it's like you've never even built a computer
>doesn't realize he's looking at an ITX board

8 threads with no IPC to speak of. There is a reason i went with a i3 6100 over a old Xeon. Future upgradability and poorly threaded games.
Oh, I absolutely agree. But it would, at present and in the future, outperform your i3 in some of the more demanding games today. I would know, I'm currently rocking a xeon from this generation in my main gaming rig and it shits all over that i3 in the same situations an FX-8350 would.
It's 300 fucking bucks for the same GPU and more RAM, too. It's a great deal, desu. Kinda wishing I had an excuse to drop on it right now.
What is the best AMD CPU under $100?
Old opterons
It is indeed a great deal but i feel it wouldnt be worth investing in a dead platform.
I myself am running a Xeon E5-2670 v3 ES and a 780ti.
Add me on steam and we can play some videogames and hang out. I-It's not like i like you or anything b-baka~

Don't forget the OS! The OS is part of any build! Without an OS, the computer can't do anything!
if he's ready to lie about giving out a steam game, then he's ready to pirate windows.
Linux is free, dipshit
fx6300 i've had it for 2-4 years and built a second machine with one as well.
Windows is sold for free at thepiratebay
we are just building a machine for him tbqh senpai
best choice.

I'm interested, what motherboard should I be looking for.

socket 2011
If you are lucky you can find a old Dell Precision board for around $120.
implying windows doesn't come with malware pre-installed allready
I'm going to search ebay uk, what's the socket?
ain't it 2011-3?
it's fine. bit of advice though, if you really want to stay under 400 USD do not go with that socket.
So an X99 motherboard which supports 2011-3 and
and this should be good?
This is substantially cheaper than a new skylake build.
How does it stack up to an i5 6600k?
techspot.com
It stacks up really well.
Since you're posting on Sup Forums and you use steam, I designed this for idiot normies who don't PC game, not wannabe Sup Forumstards who do. Take your pick from my wishlist, I clearly win. I even threw in the fractal design meme for kicks.

Is it an X99 or X79 motherboard that works with the Xeon E5?
I'm starting to think it's the X79
I actually just sent my dad that link, he fits the bill perfectly.
Linux is fine. And you can torrent original Windows images if you want.
Someone seriously expects to receive the game. Wow.
There's no dedicated GPU in this build user.
Since this doesn't have a GPU, here's my effort with an R9 380
>Made for idiot normies who don't PC game

suuuure
Socket 2011 and 2011-v3 are two different things.
I realise this but the gigabyte one linked supports 2011v3
That will support a Xeon-E5-2670 v3 (which is substantially more expensive) but not Xeon-E5-2670
