Which keyboard do you prefer?

Membrane Keyboard:
>carbon powder electrocontact technology
>highly efficient design using space-age materials
>actuates at a feather touch, spares fingers strain
>lightweight, inexpensive, reliable
>a marvel of technology

Mechanical Keyboard:
>1950s era metal shit clapping against other shit
>obnoxiously loud CLACK CLACKing sound
>requires awkward punching of fingers
>ridiculously expensive or ridiculously marked up
>either ancient hipster Model M crap resold to you by an otaku for $150...
>or RAZER Call Of Gaymin $150 BlackWIDOW HyperStrike marked up crap
>wasteful--no one will use a keyboard for its entire lifetime
>gimmicky hipster crap for exploitable tweens and old men
>it's shit

Nailed it

I'll take a mechanical please.

Mechanical

Mechanical

Mechanical, Pajeet

Mechanical, and I don't even have one, too poor.

Mechanical

Mechanical because Sup Forums will make fun of me if I say membrane even though this is my current keyboard and I'll never buy a mechanical because the sound of keys clacking makes me want to fucking scream.

God damn it I hate this fucking keyboard so bad. Fuck literally ANY keyboard with the tiny backspace key.

Mechanical is shit.

Mechanical

Not even $51USD?

Or $35USD?

Why not get a linear switch with o rings? It'll be much quieter than a normal mechanical keyboard.

Because there's literally no reason to spend more than 40 bucks on a keyboard. I'd buy a meme mouse before I bought a meme keyboard.

>$35
>$15 shipping
>Spending 50% of the cost of the product on shipping that will probably take 6 weeks

Lol

They probably use chink kaihl switches so no thanks

Yeesh, that's a weak troll. Or is this some kind of meta commentary on obvious bait? I honestly can't tell.

If you paid more than $10 for that shit I feel bad for you.
In Mid-West Europe, you can purchase a proper PS/2 keyboard that's waterproof and doesn't have ghosting issues for less than $10, and its none of those shitty compact ones. The same applies for USB 3.1 keyboards.

I frankly do not feel the need for a mechanical keyboard, I have used them in the past (

Blackwidow clicking sound is fabolous desu

Clicky or tactile mechanical

Topre is the best of both worlds.

It's basically personal preference at this point.

>requires awkward punching of fingers
Linear switches exist, user.
>either ancient hipster Model M crap resold to you by an otaku for $150...
>or RAZER Call Of Gaymin $150 BlackWIDOW HyperStrike marked up crap
I bought mine for less than $80.

The first one. Buying a mechanical keyboard was a big mistake. They're the gaming mice of the keyboard world.

I used a keyboard like this, but sold under a different brand. Probably the worst keyboard I ever used. It takes ridiculous amounts of force to even press a key if you're not hitting it perfectly in the center, and the layout is trash. I had to type pretty hard on it, and I couldn't stand even writing a 4 character password on it.

membrane keyboard

mechanical keyboards are memes and are too loud

mechanical. i use an old thinkpad just to have a clicky keyboard.

terminal applications on a *nix system and a mechanical keyboard where you feel every keystroke go hand in hand.

i don't even use a mouse and have the need to get a mechanical response for everything i do on a computer. its just such natural feeling to use a machine. i wish that shit would translate to phones.

If money is no issue: Topre Realforce all the way
