I want to buy the Xiaomi Redmi 3s (5.5" is too big for me so R3NP is a no), is it alright from geekbuying?
geekbuying.com/item/XIAOMI-Redmi-3S-Pro-4G-LTE-3GB-32GB-Smartphone---Gold-368616.html

I'm from Europe btw

Looking to upgrade from my lg g2 I love this phone and it has given me a brand loyalty to LG because how well it's tested me but I don't want to be too naive and buy a G4 . I'm giving myself a $200 budget (my needs are simple, basic phone use including web browsing, Snapchat and YouTube and instagram. I don't play games or Pokemon GO). The only reason I'm upgrading my g2 is because Snapchat and instagram are starting to get a little slow and a year ago my audio port in my phone went out so I can't use headphones with it unless they're bluetooth.

Options lately have been between a G4, the new Moto G, Nexus 5x and a OnePlus Two. All these phones fall in or around my budget on Swappa.com

I'm open to getting a Chinese phone but I don't need the best bang for my buck. I just want a good reliable phone that will keep up with modern Android apps and updates for the next year or two.

So what's your excuse for not owning the 1+3?

Verizon

no sd slot
small battery / battery life
1+2 was garbage
1+1 yellow tint issues

Buying one next week senpai

>no sd slot
kys senpai

if i got the ip of an android/iphone connected to my network how would i controll that device witought having acces to it

Hey look, it's the "I'm trying to justify my shitty phone post".

If they made one of the slots on the dual sim tray be SD, hoo boy

I'm not him, but I have the OP3 as well.

What phone do you have, user?

Good on ya m8

MUH 6 GRIGS OF RUM!!!!

Galaxy note 4 running cyanogenmod

lol what is this supposed to be?

It doesn't freeze any apps, it's nice.

Well, do you feel superior using it?

Yes

How much did you pay for, Onii-chan?

$415 AUD

Why not the G4? I upgraded to it from the G2 and it feels amazing

Used or new?

New

No u, we already have 95MB/s read/write 256GB micro SD cards and a 320GB micro SD card will come out soon as well.

Proof: amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01G7L03OS

That's rather cheap, considering I paid more for my OP3.

While Note4 doesn't seem like a bad phone, I don't see why you should feel superior because you own one.

I used my first smartphone with no case.

I'm getting a new phone soon, and I wouldn't mind some protection. What manufacturers or styles would you recommend for cases?

Why do you think I wouldn't belive you, you dumb fuck.

It's just a retarded argument, seeing how most smartphones today give you 50+GB of space for your shit in entry models.
It's not really a valid argument because "muh storage".

If you can fill that and you stil need space, you should offload the shit on your laptop, pc, stream it or get it via other external means.

Spigen makes good ones if you're looking for durable ones

Can't you see I'm trying to show off in front of the other anons by being rude. You're ruining everything with your niceness.

K4000, k4000 pro, leagoo elite 5, or doogee t6?

Just want good battery life, and a decent but cheap phone.

mtk6753 seems decent for a such a cheap SoC

Lifeproof

Are phone pens worth using for anything?

>If you can fill that and you stil need space, you should offload the shit on your laptop, pc, stream it or get it via other external means.
What if I don't want to, nigger?

Not on my watch, Onii-chan

Or homtom ht6.

What other cheap phones ~100usd with great battery life?

Then get a phone with a microsd slot.
But for fucks sake stop pointing it out as if it's a flaw.

A person interested in stuff will look the phone up anyway and notice that, it won't bother most.

Well well well

Could it be...

W-why are you doing this user?

Is it a dragon dildo?

Update the news you lazy fucks.

I bet you'd like that ye deviant bastard

>But for fucks sake stop pointing it out as if it's a flaw.
It's a huge fatal flaw. The whole point of Android is to escape Apple's gay shit like permanent unexpandable storage.

>A person interested in stuff will look the phone up anyway and notice that, it won't bother most.
No they won't. A lot of times people unknowingly buy phones without a micro SD slot and suffer overwhelming buyer's remorse. We gotta let them know before they shoot themselves in the foot.

For that 1% of people who genuinely don't give a shit about the freedom to expand their phone storage also don't give a shit about everything else Android has to offer and should just stick to fruit phones.

Why does a 6000mAh phone like the t6 get the same battery life as a 4000mAh phone with almost the same specs?

Oh it's juste my new wealth signaling gadget :^)

Can't be fucked mate. It's been a day since the latest thread so I copied and pasted it.

Hmmmm

Yes I would.

Well I didn't want to believe it, but I'm now seeing it with my own eyes and Touchjizz with a Material Dark theme and Good Lock is pretty much stock Android.

1/3

This discussion started with "why didn't you get a 1+3", right?

That's why some people didn't get it. It's a thing some people care about, so it is a reason they would avoid a phone that doesn't have it.

what are your opinions on htc 10

Doing what?

2/3

Good phone but way overpriced.

3/3

it sucks

I s-said stop it!

kill yourselves

Stop what?

Wow, mean.

It started out on topic at least.

What would you like to talk about that has to do with smartphones, user?

The other user is being a cunt

>waiting for Redmi Note 3 Pro

I fell for the OnePlus 3 meme. I've had it for 3 days now and these are my impressions:

Pros:
Feels noticeably faster than my Xperia Z3
Camera quality is very good
Can multitask like on a PC pretty much and open several pages in Chrome before any of them reload
Great fingerprint sensor
Very good customization to stock android, really like the customizable buttons. I mapped the camera to long press menu, mapped screen off to double tap home, and mapped last opened app to back for quick 2-app multitasking
Dash charging actually works
Build quality seems excellent

Cons:
Video recording sucks dicks and stabilization is bugged (not working in 1080p but working in 4k)
Speaker is disappointing coming from Z3
Software sometimes feels incomplete, the music player is garbage, the "Shelf" feature feels very early, camera app lacks settings and modes
I have no fucking Type C USB cables and right now they're embarassingly overpriced
Minor software bugs here and there
Youtube not playing 60fps video
Screen isn't perfect and has minor banding, but my only other OLED screen, the Galaxy S4, has it much worse. Maybe all Oleds are like this? I also have a dead pixel.

Concerns:
Battery life will degrade faster? The dash charger pumps 5V and 4A into the poor battery
Apparently OP has a bad reputation for updates
Amount of bugs is concerning, but updates seem to be coming fast right now
Not sure if it's because of the metal body and very hot summer but the phone can get hot to the point of being uncomfortable if I push it to the limits with benchmarks and heavy games
There are Sony/Samsung service centers in my city, and no OP service centers in my country

Hopes:
It's held together by 2 screws, so it should be easy to repair if something breaks
6Gb of RAM will definitely make it more future proof
They'll improve it via software updates

Should I send it back and buy something else for the same price? Right now I'm satisfied but maybe there is something better out there.

Why do people say Lumia 530 is shit when it's pretty good?

thoughts on the lg g5?
im looking to upgrade from my g3 but its a toss up between g4, nexus 5x, g5 or go for a phablet like the v10 or 6p

German here. I need a new phone, am considering the BlackBerry Priv right now. Anyone have some experience with that?

Avoid unless you can get it for a steal. Its display is downright terrible and has poor build quality.

>no apps

One of my colleagues has it and I tried it once. I wouldn't recommend it and wasn't impressed. It's very expensive and unless you're a retarded old man, swipe typing on a software keyboard is much faster. The device feels like it has terrible build quality as well because of the sliding design and physical keyboard, and it's also very thick. I can imagine it exploding into a million pieces after a drop. Other than that, I heard updates will be very slow on it.

Unless you really want a physical keyboard with dinky little keys (and you have really no reason to want such a thing unless you're an old man with baby duck syndrome who used blackberries all his life) I wouldn't buy it, especially when there are androids which are better in every single way for less money such as the OP3 or the Galaxy S7.

I had the 520 and it was great as a backup-emergency phone. Then my screen became unresponsive at the top and in a small area in the middle for no reason. Windows phone is dogshit and I would never use it as my daily driver but it's the perfect backup or secondary phone as long as you buy it for cheap, but it might not be for so long, even cheaper androids are getting very capable, I have a MotoG 3rd gen (1Gb ram version) and it works very well and is very fast and fully capable.

What games do you even play on mobile?

How likely is it that Blu will patch the root/unlocked bootloader on the Blu R1 HD? They barely give OTAs for their phones as is, and this phone is as budget as it gets

Is this phone worth it? it costs 140€ (around 156$) But i'm not sure the specs are worth it.
Full specs: gsmarena.com/alcatel_pop_4-7935.php

If it isn't worth it whatdo you recommend around that price?

My z3c sort of broke down and I'd like to get something new. I loved the size and the color of the phone (orange). In theory I'd go for the z5c but the colors all suck and it is kind of important to me.

I'm in Germany on O2 and I'd love to have something like the HTC 10 in red, which is only available in Japan. I don't think I'd be able to use it here, right? Any suggestions?

Just get a colored case, guy. Or a clear case and then stick your own color inside.

Anyone have experience with Sultan's ROM? How good is it?

Why do people keep buying phones with fingerprint scanners on the front? Don't they know that it's in the wrong place?

>get axon 7
>it has a weird lag whenever the UI transitions between the second and third home screen and about one third down in the app list
>literally only in those two areas
>nobody else has this issue online
>everything else works great
I had to install Nova Launcher on this thing just so it would stop triggering my 'tism. Fucking chinkphones.

>buying phones with a fingerprint scanner

its like you want cops to have easy access to your phone

Do they have a search warrant for my animes?

I never use cases, they look like shit

Where are you? Considering grabbing one

You deserve all the difficulty you are having. Good luck mate.

good vault app to keep porn pics?

Thanks breh. I just fucking hate that our market limits most phones to black, silver and disgusting gold. It's the one thing we all look the most at, it might be pretty then too, right? And why buy a good looking phone, design-wise, just to slap on a shitty case?

>OP1 and 2 had problems so OP3 must as well
>4 hours screen on time is shit

KEK

I'm not sure why but lately my OP3 isn't getting the usual scores in benchmarks. I usually run benchmarks just to check if everything is running well, not sure if it's because the phone overheats and throttles down (it's very hot these days) or if the lates update or something else caused it to slow down a bit. Used to get 140.000+ (top of the list in the Antutu botnet) but nowdays I get third place.

It's $500 here

see
K4000 got GPS problems.

google drive :^)

Why didn't LG market this phone more?
It actually has decent specs with the SD430 and a pressure sensitive stylus.

all mediatek phones have crappy gps

Reposting because I never got any recommendations

Hey guys. I'm looking around for a new phone, and I'm running out of drive. My carrier kinda sucks for phone pickings.
Location: America
Carrier: Virgin mobile
Budget: $200
Features: Expandable memory, decent battery
Size: Literally doesn't matter.
>inb4 redmeme
It's an option, but I'm pretty against the whole importing from China thing.

Any of you guys have tmobile? I'm on the jump on demand plan and currently have a note 5. Thinking about upgrading to a new phone soon but the note 7 seems not worth it.

It's already rooted
androidpolice.com/2016/07/27/amazons-blu-r1-hd-gets-rooted-bootloader-unlocked-twrp-support-debloat/

>Snapdragon 210
>1GB RAM

Jesus Christ, no.

That's the price of the 3/32 RN3P which is far better.

Virgin Mobile is a piece of shit. They basically use the same Sprint towers as Boost and have overpriced plans.

Switch over to Boost, save money in the long term, and save money now by getting a $129 Galaxy S4. You can buy a bigger battery for it later since it's removable too.

amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-SPH-L720T-Tri-Band-Mobile/dp/B019S654DO

go for the 6p and join the master race
you will never be able to go back to babby screens again

Hey guys I'm looking for a phone to use as navigation and camera on bike rides. Something with
>good camera
>somewhat stable CM port
>decent battery life
>preferably light and not a square foot ping-pong paddle

In order of importance. I don't care about CPU performance, storage, screen quality, front camera, video recording and other gimmicks, I just want something light and small that can take acceptable quality pics and won't run out of juice 4 hours into a ride with GPS on.

Nah, it's bendgate 2.0

z3c

Hey Sup Forums, my xperia z3 died yesterday (ironically from what damage). what should I go with as a replacement?

Needs:
>Sd card slot
>Good battery life
>Good audio output (listen to a lot of music)

Would be nice:
>Water resistance. Though I don't really buy it anymore after what happened to my xperia
>Visibility in sunlight (I live in FL)

Don't really care:
>camera. I have a DSLR to take pics with
>fingerprint sensor. Never felt the need to use one.

Thanks bros

I don't trust OnePlus given their track record of being shitty with updates, otherwise I probably would get it if only to save money

Need a full case for s7 edge including screen cover needed.

Dont wanna make it super bulky with a 2kg case pls

Any recommends?

In the uk if that helps

Anyone ever try one of these for their phone?

amazon.com/Skinomi®-TechSkin-Protector-Replacement-Anti-Bubble/dp/B00M2232YA/ref=sr_1_3/154-7799821-8486560?ie=UTF8&qid=1469896497&sr=8-3&keywords=z3 compact skinomi

Either for this phone specifically or another device. I got a super cheap case for my Z3C, solely to provide some grip to it. Suffice it to say, I want to change. I'm just looking for something thin that doesn't look bad, and provides grip.
