Which font has the best UI aesthetic?

Which font has the best UI aesthetic?

So basically Helvetica is a better version of Arial.

I'm talking in general. I do think Helvetica is better looking than Arial

For monospace, I use an old copy of Monoco. It's my favorite for two simple reasons.

Behold:
>the square brackets make a square
>the parentheses make a circle

>UI aesthetic
Oops, just noticed you said that. Derp. Oh well.

Terminus, hands down.

Um, Arial is the Microsoft copy of Helvetica, which was designed decades before.

Clearview
FUCK Highway Gothic

(Ignore my watermark on this one, I didn't make this content just scrotted a webpage)

>tfw I also didn't notice the UI qualifier

Ignore my post about Clearview!

I've found the following typefaces to be top tier for UI
Segoe UI Semibold
Calibri (Semibold if you can do it)
Ubuntu

>muh fonts
I use Droid Sans because DejaVu didn't render my weeb characters.

Lucida Sans Console is better

I keep coming back to Helvetica. I know people give me hassles over it, but it really does seem to just do what it was made to do. I like the new 2010 revision as it goes back to the source material, but also acknowledges the growth in computer screen use.

I like Courier New as my default mono-space.

What can I say the classics just work,
doesn't hurt given the huge amount of documentation.

Then their is my crazy font which changes all the time, and is used rarely for other stuff or just because I feel like it. Usually not the most legible or useful.

So how's Literata?

I don't like mono fonts that mess up the centering of the following characters: - > * + | = [ ] ( ). Pretty much all fonts fuck this up. Even the ones that don't, like mononoki, still have problems when it comes to centering when the bg color is different that the fg color.

> inb4 all fonts suck ass

DIN

whichever one you like, OP.

oh you don't like anything? then kindly eat dicks and die!

DIN 1451 is better

I always thought Futura looks pretty cool in UIs.

Neue Haas Unica

...

Helvetica is obviously better but they're both overused as fuck

For Windows: calibri/tahoma

For Linux: Ubuntu font

Arial sucks donkey ass and helvetica is a meme

>calibri
UGH
it's the comic sans of 2010s, even though looks somewhat better,

>le xkcd
Comic Sans being bad is a meme too

t. Calibri lover

Roboto is perfect to me

Holy shit. Never thought I'd see my exit on Sup Forums of all places

Arial is the knockoff of haas unica which is the knockoff of helvetica which is a knockoff akzidenz grotesk. Fonts with slented top letters performs better on a screen, this is why a lot of ppl doing subtitling prefers to use arial instead of helvetica. Might not be true anymore with super high screen definition.

Roboto or Apple's San Francisco

Anyway, every single font look like shit on windows so who cares?

I like you.
