Wow, that's a really promising picture desu

>broadband is deprecated
You don't even know what broadband is, do you?

- Microcomputer.
- Webring.
- Surfing [the web].
- Web.

It's sad that today's millennials don't know the difference between "the [world wide] web" and "the Internet"

>cyberspace

>millennials
Don't blame it on an arbitrary birth date. Blame it on poor education standards and the culture of sloth. I'm sure there's tons of people from every other generation who don't know either.

Engineer

imageboard

This is actually good.

It gets more women into "engineering" thus appeasing the delusional
>MUH EQUALITY
drones while not wasting important positions on unqualified women for the sake of quotas.

>Don't blame it on an arbitrary birth date
Actually, I do. Even my technological illiterate mother knows that "the Internet" refers to all the interconnected computers, while "the web" refers to accessing different servers and retrieving "web sites". My younger brother, on the other hand, thinks that they are synonymous, despite being above averagely interested*** in computers.

>*** by interested, I mean playing vidya, like 90% of this board thinks "interested" means

>the wired

Why can't you just let me pretend there is some hope for the future?

>BBS

the word has been depreciated because its assumed everything is broadband or better you fucking sperg

>information super-highway (internet)
>webinar (online course)
>image macro (meme)
>e-zine (news site)
>portable (mobile)
>flat (thin)
>vlog (channel)

Are you ready for it?

THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY

deprecated, itself. :)

>glog (a video log filmed with wearable tech)
>personal computer (a hardware you actually own)
>hacker {a man who finds out how the stuff works}

But the fastest connections are narrowband

>modem

But broadband refers to the TYPE of uplink, not the bandwidth you fucking tech illiterate.

Fucking Backups according to most people coming to me with their tech problems
>"Did you back it up?"
>"wut?"

Plenty of people and businesses still use modems, probably more than before if you're in the UK.

Synchronized Menstruation... and a lot of bitching...

>Broadband
>High-speed Internet
>Fast Ethernet

>High definition

>Minicomputer
>Microcomputer

>Realtime

DSL modems are still modems

>Lag
Any inconvenience observed as a result of the computer performance while playing a video game is now just called lag

Speaking of vidya:

- bugs are called "glitches"
- bots (i.e. grindbots and aimbots) are called "hacks"

Yes, so the word isn't obsolete.

privacy

DOCSIS and fiber modems are also still modems.

>It's their generations fault that our generation raised them like shit

ctrl-f cloud

fuck yall

"hard drive"

Analyst. Now everyone is a scientist.

>Minimal difference that 90% of people don't need to EVER care about in their life
>Being mad about it
Just go complain on Usenet or IRC.
