What's a tech meme you fell for and still regret to this day?

SSD for me

SSD is hardly falling for a meme, user

>ssd is meme meme
kys

>buy a used T61 in 2015 180usd
>Middleton bios
>t7100 to t9600
>250gb Sammy evo ssd
>dies with 6 months
Want to make Sup Forums pay for it

Almost positive that comes with a warranty. If its true it failed like that then you were just incredibly unlucky

I fell for the 1 TB Seagate Barracuda meme

seagate is better than getting memed by the wd cavier green or blue meme

>used t61 from a guy who had 20 of them from his small business
>warranty
user I...

SSDs are great in combination with an large HDD for your usless stuff

SSD is only good on a laptop.
Not worth it in a desktop

I'd guess built-in bluetooth in laptop.
I use it like once every two months to transfer a picture from phone to lappy and that's it.

I fell for the tablet meme.

I bought a Windows tablet because I already have an Android phone and I liked the idea of running desktop apps on a tablet. I also intended to use it as a media machine. I barely used it and sold it, then bought an Android tablet. Again, I basically only use it for reading e-books and watching movies in bed, which I rarely do.

Fuck.

Android meme, its a botnet. Will install ubuntu on my nexus 6p.

ubuntu is barely a functional mobile os and as much of a botnet as android. good luck with that.

This

Getting an SSD for my rig was the best decision I made when building it. I don't care much for the boot times but they make the system far more responsive when running anything.

CM13, F-Droid, Adaway

That's how you run Android without the botnet

Pre-built PC :^(

headphone amp

GTX 980

Forgot pic.

Buying any x80 GTX card, be it the 980,780,680 etc.

SSD
8GB RAM is enough

Lenovo IdeaPad G50-70
>cucked ultrabook dual-core i7
>Radeon R5 M230
>1366x768
>glossy screen
>when playing vidya and even when 100% fan RPM + active cooling pad (200mm fan) the keyboard and palmrest are still warmer than skin temperature

Mechanical keyboard. I think I would have been just fine with my Sidewinder X4

Maybe but it's also worse than the Hitachi Ultrastar meme.

Which one is the best to buy usually? Used included? As a balance between power consumption, noise, non gimped bits? x70?

Thinkpad
Arch linux (it was great until it stopped working for no reason)
Audio technica ath m50x

>Thinkpad
What the fuck? One of the few memes I'm glad I fell for. What do you dislike about it?

The screen is doing weird stuff, the touchpad is very bad, cant really use it and it gets loud (fan) very quickly
Maybe I just got a bad device
But the keyboard is the best laptop keyboard I ever typed on
Might give it a second chance just because of that

tablet. a thinkpad is much better and does not have android shit.

I fell for 3x 3TB

>used hardware
your knew the risk

>the touchpad is very bad
I never use it so wouldn't know.
>it gets loud (fan) very quickly
Might have dust buildup. Try cleaning it. Thinkpads are great because you can easily pull them apart.

liquid cooling

I need that much space for my anime, how is that a meme?

lol
