Whoops, sorry for the typo. I accidentally typed "is encourages".

In my country you cannot do online banking without IE8

As result nobody uses even macs, 98% of the country uses Windows 7 and XP

Wine runs ie8

country?

The Lenovo website is designed to work best with IE. I don't know how the fuck this is even a problem in $currentYear

Of course Turks encourage Linux. They like being fucked in the ass.

...

That's actually funny :D He's called Köksal Baba here

What does it say about Google and Windows 10?

>Surf interesting websites with Google
>20 things you can only find in Windows 10

i know who he is lol

Any country that fears US spying and control will encourage alternatives.

Imagine you have all government systems running W10, enter a war with US and MS issues a killswitch patch for W10?

South Korea had the same issue with IE6.
Not sure if it's fixed now.

Bulgarian here, there's a solid Linux userbase here as well.

I was kinda surprised at first that there are people who know about Linux at all, to be honest. I thought I was among the only ones who knew about it a decade ago.

Well, this magazine is Windows-centered. There used to be a 3 page Linux article in every issue but they suddenly removed the Linux section in 2009 (except this issue).

The userbase is strong in Turkey too, but it's mostly hobbyists. Some PhD students don't even know what Linux is.

(the first link has a language option too, i forgot to type that)

>pardus
>debian based another snowflake OS
Pardus was amazing distro with all its original tools and package manager, until 2011. I'll never forgive Pardus for stopping the project and became rebranded debian. Pisi linux is the official distro of our country, not this garbage.

Here in Germany we have a few Linux exclusive magazines, but they're usually pretty expensive

Doesn't canonical spy on its users just as much as Microshaft?

I know, Pisi is the new Pardus.

Nope. Besides the Amazon blunder, they haven't done anything else.

They're aware of the damage that has caused to their reputation.

We don't have any linux magazine :(

Also In Korea you need windows to do online banking. Are you Korean?

By 2017 the top 100 south korean websites won't require internet explorer anymore. It's only a matter of time before SK won't use their cipher anymore given that IE 11 support dies around 2022.
