Now I'm stuck with a found laptop (Acer Va70) and it appearently had a Transcend 512gb 2'5 SSD in it.

What is a good way to analyse the data that is on the SSD so I can give it back to the owner?

Just plug into your desktop or any dock station and live boot from linux, for safety measures.

>random laptop and charger next to a tree
I could see somebody absentminded leaving a laptop somewhere, but why the fuck would one even take out the charger under a tree?

Give it back Rayquan

Yeah that's what I thought. Any good software recommendation? Or just mount it?

Yes exactly, that is what kind of worried me. I have absolutely no clue. Any tips?

Is this really the best story you could come up with? Holy shit OP.

Live USB Ubuntu or Mint and mount the hard drive.

Isolated machine just for this matter.

Going to the gym now. I'll bump this thread once I mounted it.

Give it back Tyrone

Your dad is lying he probably walked away with someones laptop from a coffee shop while they were in the bathroom or ordering.

jamal, give it back

Your father stole it.

Your dad literally stole someones laptop.

Return the stolen belongings, Tyrone.

Just take it to the local police station. Seriously, if you're that paranoid about it then let them deal with it.
