RAM General Thread - Best RAM Edition

Attention, Sup Forums.

This is the best RAM currently available on the market. It is the highest quality and will not die on you.

Every other RAM is a meme and should be avoided.

Watch people get upset and start posting pictures of their disgusting, low-quality meme RAM that they buy only because it "looks cool"

shit, is this ironic bait? i just ordered hyperx few days ago.

ram is ram. unless its a dodge ram

no

>ram is ram.

This is currynigger logic. RAM is not created equal.

my ram kicks ass

you didnt get enough replies yesterday?

Only for typical use, for real performance those little details matter a lot.

also forgetting the other ram.

I dont think ive had ram sticks die on me in my entire life. Ive been gaming for like 25 years
What would you have to do to kill them? massively overclock?

Not OP, but when I tried to massively overclock my RAMs, it actually killed my mobo's ram slots.
RAM is a tough motherfucker, they last a lifetime.

It was a h61 by the way. Never try to overclock shit on a weak chipset.

Where can i download it?

yes it fucking is, they all have their timings and latency stated and are shat out of a chink factory and branded

Hi OP I use this RAM because I use all white internals :^)

>I tried to massively overclock my RAMs

Get a life loser

Ironic

pathetic

Is it worth it to get 16GB of DDR 3 RAM?

What is best RAM I should get?

No, you're fine. Best RAM is in the OP

i have hyperx fury 2400MHz too but theyre ddr3
sometimes i wonder if i made the right choice or not
8gb x2 by the way

You did well, son

didnt you guys have a preformance chart of gaming ram somewhere?

>Best RAM Edition
>Posts Kingston RAM
>Ctrl+F Avexir
>0 result

OP confirmed for faggot, thread confirmed for shitty, board confirmed for illiterate.

Is really 2 rams better than 1?
Does it really matters which one I get or are all the fucking same?
I think my current rams are broken because my pc freeze sometimes, or it could be the motherboard. I kinda wanted to upgrade to a mobo with ddr4 and ddr4 rams, is it worth it in comparison to a half price motherboard with ddr3 rams?

someone post the ebin chart with all the latency and stuff

remember that ram clock frequency matters

Kingston, although being close to production, cant even follow voltage standards. All of their DDR3 rams have 1.65V in XPM, which is non-standard.
Crucial on the other hand is again close to production, follows standards to every last detail and their combatiblity (even ddr4) is very good and failure rates very low and are lower priced than Kingston counterparts.

fake and gay

What about G.Skill, Corsair and Patriot?

>ram thread
>not posting best ram

Quads confirm
checked

Unless it's a high end gaming pc,
DDR4 not worth it at all
1 ram is bad for integrated graphics

Do I really have to get the exact same RAM as I already have (like the model)
or as long as all the specs and numbers match up I'm okay?

Hmm... that is the RAM I use.

Sick.

>Best
>Doesn't have ECC
>Isnt a RDIMM or LRDIMM
no

Hyperx meme ram
Enjoy that shit dying in 3 months.

please just go away Sup Forums
shoo

DDR4 @ 2666 is optimal price/performance for all new systems.

...

Find me the cheapest desktop ddr3 4gb ram you can, Sup Forums.

2 Rams is like a raid 0 hdd. Aslong as your mobo has support for dual channel.

I own two of these sticks (8GB each), and I'm fully aware it's a placebo meme for 98% of use cases, but they really were the cheapest. Plus the unnecessary heat sink shields the PCB when you're installing it

hi5 bro

been running it in my desktop, and server for the past 6 months. no issues.

Hasn't died. Been nearly a year.

Ok /rtg/, I need 2*512MB of RDRAM, to upgrade the ram in my old kludge of an XP tower. Suggestions as to brand and where for best price/performance.

Worth it if you need the ram, but most people never use more than 6GB for the most part.

I have 16GB, but I got it because I do a little 3D modeling, FAE, and some photo rendering of 3D models which benefit from it. Most days I've below 8GB use pretty easily.

what is all this horse shit? What would RAM have to do with visuals or AI?

3GiB outghtta be enough for everyone.

Just get it from Crucial.

>hyperx fury
>not using super master race hyperx SAVAGE

They don't sell rdram anymore do they? I was under the impression that rdram was all NOS these days.

not using XXXTREME SPORTS RAM

>not knowing how to green text
>not using G.Skill

Best RAM is the one with the least latency, these usually sell for $100+.
