Android apps recommendation

Post ITT trully must-have apps, the ones you can't live without. Post description

I just want to know of a decent text writing and editing app, similar to word or librewriter for pc.
What are some food ones for Android?

Clover

Everything else is optional

mbooru
booru browser

Check the fucking sticky.

>Neutron
I'm always listening to music and this is the only music player for Android with Opus support, Crossfeed, ReplayGain which doesn't shit itself with .opus and a Parametric Equalizer.

>Keepass2Android
Can't log into anything without it.

>WhatsApp
De facto normie IM client over here

>MacroDroid
Tasker but free as in gratis.

chroma doze - noise generator, helps me sleep
syncthing - keep my porn in sync
osmand - offline maps, never lost, no coverage required

Signal for encrypted messaging
Tachiyomi for manga

Does anyone know of an app or some kind of utility that automatically switches the screen into landscape whenever you full screen a video? I hate having to toggle auto rotate on and off. Bonus points for no root necessary

Thx tachiyomi rocks

This. Tachiyomis good shit. Thanks bruv

Need ms paint app

Caustic is god tier for mobile music making. Along with edjing pro and hunting samples on YouTube.

It's not helping and the things there are few and outdated
Go read it yourself smartass cunt

Like 7-zip for Android

Download a third party video player like MX Player and set it as the default video player

I'm about to jump from iOS to Android.

Are there any apps that do useful things that iOS just doesn't have?

FDroid and KISS

...

How is osmand vs maps.me?

ElectroDroid

>MX Player
this thing is godlike

>wind forward/backwards with swiping
why doesnt have every videoplayer that feature

He's probably talking about embedded HTML videos.

osmand is the least user friendly navigation app other than some russian shit that i tried
you're much better off downloading offline areas on google maps than both of them

>opus
Mah nigga

Osmand works while maps.me won't show you the maps list for download :)

>the only music player for Android with Opus support, Crossfeed, ReplayGain which doesn't shit itself with .opus and a Parametric Equalizer.

Foobar does all that too. And it's free.

>mbooru
Animeboxes is better desu

since when foobar has a parametric equalizer?

Oops, it doesn't.

Android does though.

orbot

What?

can someone recommend me games i can just leave instantly if I'm needed to? my current job requires idling for a long amount of time daily but also a quick reaction in case something happens

Final Fantasy Record Keeper
Tomb Raider II
Gobliins Trilogy
Any Emulator..

solitaire
literally any single player game with pause functionality

Because this is a cancerous feature when you're dealing with a touch screen and holding your phone.

>Android does though.
what where

Not even viper4android has a parametric eq.

CM has AudioFX preinstalled.
I never tried installing it on non-CM Android, though.

Drastic

That's not parametric.

>3D knots
Handy app that teaches you how to make a variety of knots based on situation. Provides pros/cons and a brief summary of the knot. Fun to have at the cottage chilling on the deck practising.

isn't

you can lock the screen to prevent it
its really handy

>must-have
SuperSU
Titanium Backup
Xposed Installer
Root Explorer

preach on mxb

AFwall+ (stops apps from using wifi, cell network, roaming and/or lan, including system apps. Stops apps from wasting data in background)

AppOpsExposed (manage permissions, including launching on startup)

Messenger (Facebook one, because I sadly have a social life. It has much better quality calls and video calls than Viber)

Es file Explorer (file manager, can be a media player, does a LOT of stuff, probably the most powerful file manager out there)

Lucky patcher (utility belt; ad removal, app manager, backups, can alter permissions and extract apps like that, gives access to modded play store and allows in-app purchase emulation which is probably the only reason I use it)

I never understood what you can use Xposed for, I've never found an excuse to use it.

Orbrowser is outdated
Faking location in pokemon go ;^). But seriously, there are interesting things you can do with it, it just depends if you actually want/need them.

Gravity box
YouTube AdAway
YouTube background playback
Greenify Xposed features
Amplify Xposed features
Minminguard
Android n-ify
YouTube swipe to seek
Forcedoze Xposed features

Just to name a few.

>recommending ES file explorer

You clearly don't know what the fuck you are talking about

>not blocking ads globally via hosts
>even using YouTube instead of newpipe or another alternative
Seriously?

Name a better alternative that can do everything ES can do.

Reddit Sync or Relay for Reddit
MXPlayer
Firefox
Enpass
Solid Explorer
Pocket Casts
Clover
F-Droid

solid explorer

Solid Explorer, Total Commander

they're not adware though since it seems that that is what you're looking for

This poster is right you know, not many File explorer apps are as clearly a chinese botnet as this one.

It masters it even.

>amplify and greenify at the same time
>no xprivacy
>not using hosts adblock
>minminguard not maxlock
>not using newpipe instead of jewtube

is newpipe already a viable alternative to the official youtube thing?

>adware
I haven't seen an ad on my device in over a year kid.

You can deny it Internet access if you're afraid of botnets. The entire Android system is a huge botnet so that argument is completely idiotic.

It is not. Don't fall for this meme.

i want to use newpipe but how does it work with playlists?

you're a retard if you think es explorer is any good

go use something better

Literally does everything you need and even more, so you're the one who's a delusional retard.

>newpipe
Can you even see the newest videos of your subscribed channels on that?

>subscribing to channels
I don't do that, it's just for watching videos when I want to since I don't actively follow any channel.

>wanting a chinese botnet
>wanting lock screen ads claiming to charge "20% faster"
>wanting useless "ANALYZE" crap
kill yourself

Looking for an alternative to XPrivacy.

Mainly to fake or deny access to:
Uuid
Imei
Phone no.
Mac.
Internet access
Location

Moovit
I travel a lot by public transport

>wanting non-chinese botnet
>doesn't block ads
>implying anyone analyses shit with it
You first.

Newpipe is still too barebones, can't even search for month/day/year yet

looks good though

greenify is the answer to that.

hopefully doze will replace that need someday

...

MiXplorer

Greenify is a placebo, unless you bloated your phone.

>I just want to know of a decent text writing and editing app, similar to word or librewriter for pc.
Word for android maybe? there's also libreoffice for android iirc

There is no reason to use Xposed its a buggy timesync that ruins Android's UX.

just use Word, its pretty good

There is no reason to listen to a tripfag they only want attention

I'm just legitimately warning people not to use Xposed.

If bugs are features and being frustrated is a hobby then its perfect for you.

Someone is updating nori again

Amplify is for wakelocks Greenify is for hibernating apps. Of course I'm going to use both. Derp. Also I definitely am using a hosts file AdBlock but hosts file blocks don't work on the YouTube app, and new pipe doesn't support Chromecast.

Also I'm a normie, you can reeeeee all you want.

Never heard of Max guard but I'll check it out.
Oh and xprivacy makes phone's lags. Every time I've ever used it, it does.

You know, I've seen you post a lot and it's never bothered me until now.

But this is just ignorant. I've literally never had a single issue with Xposed.

Filtered.

Just checked out maxlock, I don't need an app locker because I do not hide shit on my phone as it's unnecessary. Minminguard is for ads not covered via hosts file inside of applications.

Go check the bug list on Xposed. It crashes apps, makes your entire screen tinted yellow, and causes wakelocks.

Oh and another problem I hadn't mentioned you need to disable Android's security to use it.
lmao

Syncthing for file synchronization across multiple devices
