Moto G 2014 back in the same year, and only because my Dell Mini 10 had dieded (finally, fuck poulsbo) and I needed an email terminal nearby. Still going good, and still have my Nokia 5310 in my second line.

I have never and will never own one of those piles of fucking garbage. Funny how people voluntarily pay fucking money for what is essentially a goddamn government-backed tracking chip so you can use the internet using poorly done apps to replace a browser because using a real browser sucks on shitphones with a shitty OS with no good features using a shitty, inaccurate as living fuck touchscreen.

Dumbfucks.

My first smartphone is an XTouch X1. There's only a little chance of you knowing it. Bought it 4 years back.

At $190, the display, the speed, slim size that got praised by a lot of friends/relatives, tho a little behind at build-quality, it still works nice.

Sony Xperia SP

...

Nokia N95, then a Nokia 700, then a ZTE Blade V.
Got a Moto G3 earlier this year and I can see myself using this for quite some time.

Same. One of the cheapest 4g phones at the time. Battery died in less than a year though, wouldn't recommend.

what's your favorite anime

>le botnet meme
i guess you still use those 100% secure nokia phones

HTC Hero, not a bad little phone, whish I could get something that sized with a removable battery an SD card nowadays.

Absolutely loved that phone

SII
best phone ever

Here's my full History:
Alcatel 310
Alcatel 735
Sony Ericsson K700i
Sony Ericsson W810
Nokia N96
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (this, OP)
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (current)

Does it make you upset, lil bitch? lmao

Samsung Galaxy S II

I liked it when I got it, but I won't touch a Samsung phone again because of TouchWiz and slow updates. Since then I've had a Moto X, HTC One M9, and I'm about to get one of the new Nexus phones. Every phone has huge compromises.

Half of those aren't even smartphones, user.

Allview A4 Duo.
It's an absolute piece of shit but I wouldn't mind still using it.

Galaxy s+

Nokia 5230

What a piece of shit. 128MB ram, prehistoric camera, resistive screen, really limited internal memory with no proper way to transfer apps to the SD card.
Shit battery. I ran out of battery merely listening to music over 9 hours of work. That's in flight mode to save battery. Nowadays I'd be at 90% after that maybe.

There really were no redeeming factors for this shitty brick. I was so happy when I got my next smartphone, which happened to be a chinkphone.

Oh yeah, SymbianOS was total trash, haven't seen a phone with so few customization option since. Thank god it died.

Burn in hell, you shitty device.

Also had that funky light at the bottom, which was actually pretty cool. Do phones still have gimmicks like that anymore?

Symbian was the work of the Devil, glad it's all but forgotten now.

>fuck fuck shitty fuck botnet garbage
intellecting...

Is the N95 a smartphone or a dumbphone?

Samsung Note 2, still using it, since there's literally no reason to upgrade while it still works.
The pen is a meme though, stopped using it after a month.

Blackberry storm. Great phone os. but slow and battery was a joke.
Then a nexus one. I miss that phone. Unlimited tether got me thru college.

>has physical keys
Dumbphone, obviously. Smartphones are touch-only.

symbian is considered smart imo
it ran leisure suit larry
rendered a lot of websites correctly
and had nice set of apps for its time

By whom?
Half of them were crashing when picking up calls, and we are talking about 500€ phones. Now people are complaining about 50€ Android phones being laggy.

A smartphone, just not a very good one in comparison to what we have with Android and iOS.

Smartphone.

S60 had support for applications written in Java, C and Carbide. The n95 had a gimped E90 cpu so a lot of apps performed poorly.

Nokia was also too lazy to make a proper appstore out of "Download!" and the only way to get apps was via shady forums or the dev websites themselves.

I miss my E71 :((

I miss Nokia.

>didnt get phone till I was 18
>got a net 10 burner flipphone in 2007

I moved to a smartphone when I signed on for a contract phone.
Droid 2 baby, first 2.2 Froyo phone on the market

nexus s

I remember "rooting" mine and playing gba games and doom

nokia e65
I'll buy one one day just for the feels

Not a phone but basically a "smartphone"

OG Droid / Milestone

I miss this fucker.
2004 all the way.
-divx futurama episodes for long bus rides
- nintendio emulator
-mmc card for muh mp3
-internet
-bomb ass display readable even with no backlight on

yeah cartoons always looked good
low quality porn :D
opera mobile browser ...

They patched those ( I personally haven't seen one though, a lot of kids had it in high school and none was like that) and it had quite a lot of features and lots of 3rd party apps you can download.

Having limitless video
Emulators

My first "smart" device was an iPod touch 3rd gen. I was amazed by the little shit. But my first smartphone was a Xperia Neo V, tasted the droid and never looked back.

My first ismy current: LGLS660. I can't get this display format in a dumbphone.

LG VU
Rooted it to look like an iphone lol

Lg optimus l5, still have it somewhere but god it was a pile of shit

second from the left
>htc magic (sapphire)

don't know what to buy next

Android Dev Phone 1

Nokia 7650

Am I the only one here who had an E90 Communicator? Or at least a Communicator anyone?

It was shiet

Nokia C7

Had an FM transmitter.

Xperia X8 (2010)

This thread is full of kids btw, most of these phones are 2014+

Is this what evolved into the N95?

Sorry we're not all rich fags that can always use the latest tech as soon as it hits the market or is released as beta hardware you dumb fuck.

Samsung Galaxy SIII. Bought it in 2012. Still using it now with CM13

I'm still using my s3 on stock. Any issues on CM13 these days?

I wasn't interested in them, then I got this beauty. Two years and still kicking.

This was my first phone too

iphone 3gs

got it off amazon

it was a good little phone. I don't know why or how but it can with some weird mobile version of Microsoft Office. It was official and everything.

Samsung mesmerize(Or LG Tritan if that counts)

Rode the Samsung bandwagon since then.

Samsung galaxy gio

This meme

Xperia U

Small as shit. I ordered it with a cheap as shit contract online and sort of assumed it would be big enough because it was 3.5" (I had a 3.5" ipod touch, which has a better aspect ratio). Not horrible though because it had a decent resolution at the time and it was pretty fast for the money.

I think two years later I got my current phone, the lg g2. Only complaint is no sd card slot desu. Size is pretty good, but I feel like it would be way comfier to have a huge screen so my next phone is the Xiaomi mi max.

Should be coming next week. Along with a shark meme.

This badboy

The iPhone 6 Plus. I'm 34.

iPhone 3G

I owned world's first smartphone and bought it on release.
Feels good.

Some random reboots but I haven't seen them since the last couple of nightlies.

My Wi-Fi disconnects in sleep on some networks.

A snapshot was released a few days ago which I haven't tried because I'm on nightlies but you may give it a try.

Oh nice, nothing too major then. I tried CM12 nightlies way back on release and they were so unstable it was ridiculous so I just went back to stock. Gonna try CM13 now, thanks senpai.

Got this back in '05

the size and form factor was great.

i went smartphone with the n95 8gb then went a bit dumber with the HTC HD7 then went full camera with the lumia 1020

now im on a nexus 6p and im happy with it.

Heh 7650 was a fucking champ, all those days spent on twlilight(?) wap forums downloading apps

>form factor
You mean the generic glass slate form factor? It's the worst trend to happen to consumer electronics in years.

lg optimus s

i both loved it and hated it so fucking much at the same time

my favorite smartphone of all time is my current iphone 5s

the first iShit

Palm Centro

power fucking house, never broke, screen just big enough to do anything on, keybouard was small but you got used to it. pretty underrated

it was worth every penny. fucking thing was overclockable like hell. mom put it in the washing machine with the table cover.

...

Hell yeah, Battle Angel!
I name all of my computers, servers, and anything else with a static IP after Battle Angel characters.
Considering Yoko, Alita, and Gally are the same person (as to of Alita or Gally depending on original Japanese vs English localization) I use these names for my primary Desktop, Server, and Laptop (respectively)

The third from the left in that image, the HTC Hero. I liked the trackball, size, and physical buttons, but it was very slow. I went to the HTC Evo 4g, and now the GS5. I wish that there were small phones with good performance, removable batteries, and mSD card slots.

This thing was a revelation to me.

I wanted a smart phone for a long time but there did not exist a perfect one. Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung all made phones with nice specs and high resolution screens but OS that were pretty badly optimized for touch screens like Symbian or Windows Mobile 6. Android looked better but all the phones had low resolution screens and Android wasn't very fluid yet if I recall correctly. The Palm Pre with Web OS looked really good but the screen was too low res. Well the iPhone 3GS looked great with that fluid and perfectly touch optimized UI but the screen was awful. 480x320 TN panel when 640x and 800x were the norm.

Well the iPhone 4 just seemed like what I waited for so long. Fluid iOS with finally a high res screen. Even higher than any other phone on the market: 940x640. The Unreal Engine demo on it just amazed me. I loved that phone so much. I got a case for it straight away so the "holding it wrong" problem never happened to me.

...

Ribbon cable broke. Would fix it but it doesn't hold charge anymore.

this thing changed everything I knew about portable phones

that thing felt so good in my hand

>people still using their s3
good god, how? that thing has such awful heating issues and third party development because a ghost town after a year

>What was your first memepho- I mean smartphone, Sup Forums?

Up until last month I had a dumbphone.

Verizon was getting rid of all the Motorola Droid Turbos as fast as they could for 200 bucks a piece.

It's a nice pocket computer^W^W phone. Definitely no buyer's remorse.

My rich friend sold it to me for 50 dollars. Fuck this was a piece of shit, pulling out battery, put game in and then play the game and the controls are awful.

After that a Nokia E61.

>tfw you'll never sell gmail invites again

Samsung Galaxy Prevail. I was poor and my life was really fucking terrible.

Oh, look guys, the special guy. Kek

I preordered the left back in the day

iPhone 4s. I thought I was the coolest person in the world who finally attained wealth and social status.

About a month later I dropped it and cracked the screen. Tried opening it myself and fixing it with kit I ordered but fucked everything up and had to get another phone.

I'm a faggot

How's it feel being a total cuck all the time?

blackberry pearl

best phone ever

tactile keyboard, solid internet access w/3g. i could text without looking at the phone, and it was just so much better than a modern fat smartphone

Fucking hated this piece of shit.

Palm Treo 650.
On a $25/mo unlimited AT&T Wireless data plan. Those were the days...

Samsung Galaxy Rush I think it was called. Terrible phone but had So I guess it worked out.
