Because you touch yourself at night.

that monitor is sexy af

Just perfect for cum tribute shots

For now.

its terrible and matte black with a clunky fat pronged dick as a base

What does Sup Forums think of this monitor? Ignoring the memes. friend and I are too poor to afford a benq one

because "gaming aesthetic"

enjoy your red and black

Because of the stand. Remove the stand and put the monitor on a VESA one, like you fucking should anyway, and it will look great, or to a minima perfectly fine and not g4m3r shit.

Same reason motherboards, cases, gpu's etc look stupid
>muh gaymer

Shit taste pleb

>Giving a fuck what a monitor looks like

This shit was reasonably priced and well recommended, I'm too busy looking at the display of both of mine to give half a fuck about the average at best aesthetics.

>caring more about appearance than performance

Go back to your iPad, you're clearly not ready for real technology.

>he doesn't mount his monitor

fucking kek!

Fucking gaymers

Do you buy your monitor to look at it or something, faggot?

Dumbest shit Ive read in a while. You can appreciate looks and technique/technology at the same time. Pretty sure that you also try to have your hardware match colors. Does that mean that you care for looks over performance? No it doesnt, but it still means that you value looks to a certain extend. And its the same with monitors. Why buy an ugly piece of hardware that performs, if theres a good looking one that does so as well?

see
Remove the stand and the monitor looks perfectly fine. It's just a plain black matte screen. Stop being retarded.

fuck off mate i bet your room is too shameful to even post with the garbage in /bsg/

please put that back in 2005 where you found it in a dumpster

look at that casing 2/10 would not bang

>muh A E S T H E T I C S
>not being utilitarial master race

Reminder that this is a 24", 2560x1440, 165Hz gaming monitor from Dell.

>2560x1440
>24''

Fucking retarded. Would've instantly bought it if it was 1080p.

Poorfag detected.

The market for monitors with refresh rate beyond 60Hz is literally gaymers

The price has nothing to do with anything, i just don't want a 1440p monitor for gaming. Especially if it can push 165hz. Lower resolutions = better framerate = more usage of the said refresh rate. Dumb fuck.

The fuck. Theres tons of 1080p 24" "gaming" displays out there. Why are you crying about it?

Fuck those other faggots I have this exact one bought refurb for $160, and its 144Hz

>27"
>1ms response time
>low processing time
>1440p
>144hz
>Gsync

Sup Forums is going to crucify you over the TN panel, but i have it and love it for what its worth

Because he's dodging the question due to not being able to afford it.

Not him whats wrong with TN panels?

my coworkers had no idea it was a TN panel.

The color reproduction is excellent and so are the viewing angles.

I'll take a good TN panel over IPS glow + lower response time.

I've had this one for about a month. Zero complaint and that's coming FROM an IPS display.

autists here will whine about viewing angles and color vividness. The difference in real life is negligible.

TN panels don't have "IPS glow" and they're typically better for gaming due to lower response and processing times.

youtube.com/watch?v=5bInlia1ghc

Just buy a VESA mount that isn't shit, what are you poor or something?

27" is too big for gaming. I have to turn my head all over the place in order to see the flanks.

24" is literally perfect because I can see everything.

This looks swedish as fuck

Nothing, for gaming they are better than IPS.

how close do you sit to your monitor? Do you have a small desk / table?

About 1 meter from me and the monitor.

any thoughts?

Why do G-sync monitors cost 200 bucks more than Freesync ones?

because Nvidia is greedy. That's literally it.

G-sync isn't free.

Because G-Sync is an actual module in the monitor. That costs a little bit.

But it's mostly R&D since Nvidia pioneered true adaptive refresh rate.

>The fuck. Theres tons of 1080p 24" "gaming" displays out there.

Which aren't made by fucking DELL.

Plus, no, there's hardly "a ton" of 1080p 24'' gaming displays out there or certainly not 144hz. In fact, the only ones i can think off that also are flicker-free (absolutely mandatory) are from BenQ. And they legitimately look like putrid shit.

More like it's because NVIDIA wants to jew its customers and lock them into its own walled garden so you keep buying from them. There's no reason whatsoever for NVIDIA not to support VESA adaptive sync.

This has nothing to do with how close he is, recommended space is half a meter, and 27inch on distance of 50cm is not possible to observe from edge to edge by simply moving eyes. get over it you bought 27 and you got rekt by yourself

>I have to turn my head all over the place in order to see the flanks.
I don't know what your setup is like, but my viewing distance is like 70cm to my main 27" monitor. Not only can I see the entire screen, but my 2nd and 3rd monitors on either side of the main one are also visible in my peripheral vision. Get your eyes checked maybe, it's actually possible to have shit peripheral vision and it's one of the things they check when you go in for an eye exam.

The best part is Nvidiots like to make up reasons why its "better" when theyre both the same.

Good example right here
Nvidia shills are truly the biggest cancer on Sup Forums right now

>unironically buying proprietary """G-Sync""" when there's a fully functional VESA standard.

>tfw VA-panel hipster race

theyre different i mean in how they work i think gsync works better

>theyre different
this. nvidia g-sync has a dedicated high tech MODULE in the monitor. amd is just a different cable basically its nothing alike. the picture quality is like apples and oranges

>4ms
>144hz
>35''
>$765

Is this really the cheapest monitor I can get for that size?

or is it better to get 2x 24'' monitors? I really hate that there will be a bevel in the middle.

lol kys why would you want anything other than a plain thin bezel monitor. do you want fucking flames on it or something

>the picture quality is like apples and oranges

proof or gtfo!

>gsync

Oy very, don't forget to but the 1080 goyim!

Wasn't sure to either comment on this thread, or /sqt/.

I'm looking to purchase a monitor to replace my HP 2311x, trouble is I'm having a difficult time deciding a monitor. If anyone can give me suggestions, I would be more than grateful. My price range is roughly around £200. I'm mostly looking for an overall good display, rather than anything related to "MUH GAMING."

Is this bait? Just get a monitor mount

-looks good
-performs well
-reasonably priced

choose 2. companies are stupid and half the time the design is decided by one person in the department aka the big boss.
if the big boss have shit taste or likes unconventional design (win8 metro) then you are fucked.
those who work in design department should all go through an interview asking them what kind of fashion do they subscribe to and filter those shitheads out to avoid ugly designs

microcenter.com/product/460009/Predator_XB271HU_27_WQHD_IPS_G-Sync_Display_Monitor

About to tKe the plunge on this. Thoughts mates?

well it looks like the computer satan's gay ex husband would watch child porn on but i know the display on that is fucking gorgeous.

more like:
>144hz
>freesync, gync, etc
>doesnt look like shit

pick two

Not to mention you don't pay gaymer tax on these unlike the Asus ROG and Acer Predator. Absolutely based monitor

I plan on fixing it's cosmetic challenges. My gf is an artist.

well then you should be good to go

Looking to buy this exact monitor, is it good?

Because
>>>Gsync
>>>Nvidia

I picked up one of these a few months ago, honestly couldn't believe it was actually a TN panel once I got it all set up. Also came from an IPS, only thing that gives it away is the viewing angles really.

>27" is too big for gaming.

What the fuck? My second monitor is 27" and this thing feels fucking tiny. My main is 32" 4K

Fuck off you stupid fuck.

>oy very
>even manage to fuck up his jewish impersonation

Man i'm glad i'm not poor like you AMDHobos.

Just posting to say I also have this and it's fukken great

They actually aren't though.
Granted the difference isn't huge.
Basically the only benefit G-Sync has is that at low framerates Nvidia was clever enough to multiply the refresh rate so that it can go basically all the way down to 1FPS if it needed while FreeSync/adaptive sync just basically shuts off after a low enough rate.

(e.g. while FreeSync might stop syncing at 15 FPS, G-Sync will run the monitor at 30 FPS and display the same frame every 2 refreshes)

For a demonstration of the difference see here: youtube.com/watch?v=VkrJU5d2RfA

NVIDIA is worse than Intel when it comes to calculated customer-fucking-over behavior

>s2716dg

So this really is a good panel then? The BenQ XL2411 I just bought has the most washed out color I've ever seen on any monitor.

Was thinking of just going HAM and buying that Acer predator with the IPS panel, but if the dell (Which is 300 dollars cheaper) has good color reproduction, maybe I won't have to.

Thank you user, you may have just saved me lots of money.

Do it user, just don't forget to get get a custom icc profile for it

Just remember the viewing angles are still going to be complete crap, but yes it has surprisingly good color and picture quality for a TN panel.

I have seen business monitors from Dell that didn't even come with a regular stand, literally just the VESA mount on the back because they knew the business was putting it straight onto a VESA mount and bypassing the stand entirely. I really wish they sold consumer monitors like this.

>viewing angles

Overrated if you're using a single monitor to be sincere famillia. Sure you may get some color inaccuracy at the edges, but it's negligible for it's purpose aka gayming.

Color autists are as bad as audiophiles (not saying you are). I cringe whenever i see "gamers" trying to justify their purchase saying they can neeeeever go back to TN after spending a thousand dollars on a ULTRA IPS ULTRAWIDE 8K 200hz@400hz OVERCLOCKED REPUBLIC OF PREDATOR GAYMERS MONITOR.

Sure, if you do color editing, by all means, grab an IPS, but if you only play shitty games, it doesn't matter.

Buying 10bit IPS panels intended for photo and video editing and then just using them for games is completely retarded, I'm with you there, but at the same time nobody likes washed out colors. Just a few years ago a high refresh rate TN panel was synonymous with low-tier at best picture quality, however things have obviously changed since then.

Yes, that's my point, TN improved on its shortcomings and IPS too, now offering shorter response times. Just makes me mad when people parrot old misconceptions

>>poorfag can't afford to run 1440p @ 165fps with his peasant-tier graphics card
