My pc was working fine this afternoon. However, I left to go do something, and it had powered off by itself. When I try booting it, I get this. I know my HDD is detected, because it shows up in my BIOS, but it refuses to boot Windows from it. What do?

Download the free Windows 10 iso Microsoft provides and use that

Boot into it and see if you can access your hard drive there

If you're on Windows 7, first boot from your Windows Setup DVD/USB, at the first screen click next, then repair my computer, Then launch Command Prompt.
When command prompt opens, type bootrec.exe /fixmbr
press enter
now type bootrec.exe /fixboot
press enter
then type bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
press enter
type exit and press enter, now reboot
