Looking to learn one of the C language variants

Looking to learn one of the C language variants,

What's better:

C Hashtag (C#)

C double plus (C++)

c++ can do more (hence the name. ++ means plus 1)

i'd recommend starting with a simpler c variant before going straight into c++. it's a lot to handle.

>C double plus (C++)
You posted this thread two weeks ago.

You'll be a lot more productive in C#, young noob.

These bait threads get posted frequently

>one is used for systems and low level engineering
>other is used with Microsoft common run time, interpreted for server apps mainly

Kys. Why is Sup Forums so obsessed with programming languages?

hahah phonetically you can pronounce C# as "See Sharp"

I personally am learning C# for game dev and noticed that xamarin (cross platform mobile apps) and WPF (windows stuff) all use C# as well

End of the day object oriented languages will all kinda do what you want and after you learn one you can get used to another language in a week or two

>C Hashtag

Thanks OP, I needed a good laugh!

C Hashtag developer here. I've done everything, from embedded tunnel systems, over desktop applications to fart apps and cross platform mobile apps.

Ask me anything, I'll give you an hour of my time for the giggles.

#C#

Thanks Rainman.

What day was it on october 13th 1974?

What are you looking to do?

Guess this is relevant here -
Clang or gcc?

gcc, hail Stallman

Hashtag: (on social media sites such as Twitter) a word or phrase preceded by a hash or pound sign (#) and used to identify messages on a specific topic.

The day was the 13th

VS or kys freetard

sunday

VS is botnet

Try both, decide for yourself.

Thanks Rainman.

What day is the day you kys?

Also. Take op with you.

Learn C#, but try to avoid getting locked into visual studio and microshits libraries.

>avoid visual studio and microshits libraries
>avoid two things that make C# a great experience

You know, you can make C# struts without manually defining offsets. The two sides could literally be written the same way.

every single attribute in the C# example is unnecessary

the "public" is superfluous aswell, C++ can make things public too

>C++ can make things public too
C++ struct fields are public by default

python vs c hashtag as a first language.

I don't tweet much, so I don't have much experience with the latter.

and c# fields are private by default

so you could switch the example around and remove the publics in the c# example but then you would have to make the c++ example private with an access modifier

the comparison is just ridiculous

i could write an example in which c# is shorter and the c++ example is longer

the languages are for different things. to say one is better than the other is just silly

>so you could switch the example around and remove the publics in the c# example but then you would have to make the c++ example private with an access modifier
The you would use a Class in C++, which is private by default.

>The two sides could literally be written the same way.
But they wouldn't necessarily produce the same result.
Without the explicit layout the C# runtime is free to rearrange the member layout in memory, which, incidentally it does with the example shown.

C# is not a C variant, it's Java from M$.
C++ is better all day.

C "Hash"
that "hash" is not "tagging" anything

You can also call it C Sharp

# is the hashtag symbol ya dingus

>C Hashtag
>C Double Plus

Bruh.

>C Hashtag

>What is MonoDevelop
>What is Xamarin

>C Hashtag
It's called C++++ you fucking retard

Check out Golang. It's pretty comfy.

ikr?
baka tbqh familia

C sharp
