AMD probably lost their opportunity for this gen. They're not going to compete with 1070/1080 and that's that. By the time we have proper custom Vega availability it's going to be the 2nd half of 2017, NVIDIA would have had plenty of time to get new shit out as well.
Whatever AMD is making will have to compete with faster cards than a 1080, whether those are going to be Volta or still Pascal based remains to be seen. They should've released some decent cards this year, for their sake I hope their prediction that everyone wanted 2013's performance in 2016 and nothing more was on the money. It was dead wrong in my case.
