Looks like development has stalled indefinitely, Sup Forums.

Are we going to move to mpv now?

No it is just you being a retard.
nightly.mpc-hc.org/

that looks stalled, too

>please tell me what to do, think for me, tell me what to like, everything i do has to be g approve
>i don't show common sense regarding software development and i am too stupid to check the version control logs to see if there's work being done on it

Kill yourself, you pathetic imbecile who can't think for himself.

You use Windows. You're no better than him.

F

I don't. That's how easy it was to dispute your whole "argument".

Fucking roasted AH!!!

And? This isn't antivirus or something. Meanwhile mpv still has problem with playing on fullscreen on linux and windows. I use mpv only because some dumb fucks from gentoo masked mplayer2.

Is something wrong with the current version?

MPC-HC: Stable=Dead Git=Dead
MPC-BE: Stable=Alive Git=Active
MPV: Stable=Very Active Git=Incredibly Active

If you're really too stupid/lazy for mpv I would recomment you use MPC-BE nightly.

"We" moved to VLC years ago. Enjoy your autism, snowflake.

>Are we going to move to mpv now?
No

Fake and gay.

yes

>not using VLC

>video player not having a GUI

Pretty stupid desu

VLC is shit and you should be ashamed of using it.

You don't update perfection.

>Are we going to move to mpv now?
Doubtful. You're on a board where people willingly use software that hasn't been updated in years and keep track of the "last good version" for software that has. This board is the embodiment of baby duck syndrome.

Why is VLC so bad?

I'd move to MVP but it looks shit in comparison to my madVR setup no matter what I try

That sounds like a personal problem.

>and keep track of the "last good version" for software that has
My fucking gigasides when private tracker tech illiterate admins allow deprecated shit like utorrent 2.2.1 but not Tixati

>MPC-BE
Only produces junk on my laptop with GMA 4500MHD

>not using mpc-be

VLC is heavier than MPC on my computer.
And the internal filters are better on MPC. I can also add my own shaders, filters (like madVR), etc with MPC.

Which gives better results:
>screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/38184
(this is MPC BE with madVR though)

It's astonishing that retarded private tracker admins allow closed source clients at all.

mpv shill spotted

here's the real unedited pic.

Did you install LAVFilters and set them as prefered? It comes with basic FFmpeg support for OOTB but LAVF is better overall. Works fine for me, at least on Intel HD4400.

I am using LAV filters with MPC-HC perfectly fine
MPC-BE however doesn't work with them

lol no

MPC-BE is a meme

>Being pleb enough to watch fucking anime
Just kill yourself

What needs to be updated?

I can give you a file that works in MPC-HC that mpv can't play. Can you give me one that plays in mpv but not MPC-HC?

Do it.

Faster to just make it yourself.

Then I don't give a fuck, retard. Your weebshit is gay anyway.

>because this dumb and not realizing everyone's mpv can look different depending on what filters they use

i hate dumb people.

Original pic

How does VLC compare?

Why do you insist on using VLC? What is it about that cone that makes you drawn to it?

I tried MPC but I really hated the control scheme and UI.

Also I need muh playback speed changes in minute increments.

how can you improve perfection?

I don't get it.

Heh. Someone doesn't know where this is supposed to start.

Perfection +1
Easy

mpv doesn't support linked mkvs. If you link them they should be played in the specified order. mpv doesn't know what it's looking at.

>linked mkvs
use a fucking playlist.

>you are holding it wrong

Huh, I've never encountered a release with those, everything seems use ordered chapters.

>mpv doesn't support linked mkvs
Nobody uses them except this one guy on nyaa with like 10 downloads per torrent

>using mpc
That's even worse than VLC

...

...

...

...

I don't know why anyone wouldn't use mpv when it just works.

does it have a retrd proof gui yet?

bakabt.me/torrent/183607/hyper-police-r2j-h264-476p-kuchikirukia

yes

link?

>Needing to update what's perfect.

Next you're going to bitch at winamp.

>weebs and furries whining
lmao

Someone's defensive about his second-rate player.

Is there a way to make the screenshot shows the time it was printed? (mpv/mpc)

As long as mpv has no madvr it can go jump off a cliff

Nope.

it has

Date and time are in the file name in MPC-HC

In filename? Sure. On the image? With some scripting no problem

you're life is a meme

Which player is best for x265?

I just downloaded that file type a few days ago and my old installs of vlc and mpc-hc won't play it. Best I get is audio from mpc-hc.

I guess its time for a new player, and I suppose it should be one that handles x265 well.

Yes

Holy shit I switched to mpv recently but I remember many releases having the OP and ED linked. Maybe groups stopped doing that but I'm surprised I haven't ran into any problems

Update or something because x265 files play fine on MPC-HD here. What filters are you using?

>What filters are you using?

Just default settings. What do you prefer?

>Which player is best for x265?

mpv

I'm using MadVR along with other LAV internal decoders, but it should work fine on a default setting.

>mpv doesn't support linked mkvs
Seriously? I always new the mpv shilling was a meme but I didn't know it was this big of a meme.

Enjoy your shitty quality and pitty performance.

>Meanwhile mpv still has problem with playing on fullscreen on linux and windows.
Linux user here and I have zero problems with fullscreen

I think you're confusing Linux with OS X, since Windows and OS X are the problems where OpenGL fullscreen has had notable problems. (And supposely, the latest OS X preview release fixes it)

That looks like any other jinc implementation on planet earth

mpv not supporting it is a deliberate design choice by the mpv authors

Nah there were some retards that used a 4 year-old version of mpv and complained about their stupidity.

>Can you give me one that plays in mpv but not MPC-HC?

youtube.com/watch?v=nbR8oQxSQbg

You know every player uses the same decoders right?

VLC is shit for x265. MPV plays it fine and people say MPC-HC does too. Maybe upgrade on an newer version or get other codecs.

He's talking about something different.

The linked OP/ED thing is standard ordered chapters, which mpv has supported pretty much forever.

What he's talking about is an extremely obscure matroska feature which is like a more limited version of ordered chapters. It pretty much only works for linking subsequent episodes of a show together so you can watch them as one big file, but that's pretty pointless in mpv since you could just type mpv * or use the autoload lua script.

Also, the reason it will probably never get implemented is because the mpv github page got regularly spammed for a while by a bunch of fake accounts made by some guy that wanted to use this feature but couldn't because mpv doesn't support it. If you spam a github page like that, expect it to leave a bad taste in people's mouths.

(The actual code would be trivial though, like 4 lines of C. The only reason it was ever ommitted is because it's underspecified in Matroska and MPC-HC's particular behavior is rather arbitrary)

Almost all power winfags switched to potplayer for its better madvr support!

How is it better than MPCs?

Nigga

i just install the kawaii coded pack and everything just works

i dont give a shit nigga

Better madvr support! So it supports the latest madvr api.

Kawaii is dead so why?

It doesn't fucking matter. It just werks.

does madvR have 64bit version yetr

why does it even matter?
its the same shit

32bit is deprecated

try mpv.
