downloading iTunes for my computer illiterate father who just wants me to put photos on his 6s.

I keep getting pic related.

I used the 'most helpful' suggestion here
>answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/apple-mobile-device-failed-to-start-verify-that/6f44588c-4896-48b0-bbe4-d0b67fc47205?auth=1
>4. go to itunes.com, download the newest version, save it to your desktop, RIGHT CLICK the icon and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

but still cannot do it. I cannot even get iTunes to being 'installed'.

He's a good guy. Can you help my father out?

>windows 10
>can't use the scroll on my mousepad

Upgraded to win 10 but for some reason the flushed 'scroll' on the right of my mouse pad doesn't scroll, but just acts as a part of the mousepad.

Does this make any sense?

pic related are the turned on settings i thought would help fix it

Using a flatscreen tv as my monitor until I can get a proper setup, but the screen is messed up using an HDMI connection.
The monitor has a spot for USB and VGA connection, so which cable would be the best option?

you cant get video thru USB on a fucking tv...

>replacing a tiny ass fan + sink with slightly bigger sink with no fan
It's gonna be fine right? It's an old Ati x700se used in a emulation box rendering 240p stuff mainly.

you sure m8?
>theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/9/1/12758384/usb-c-hdmi-alt-mode-cables-specifications

>implying your TV has USB C
>implying it's not just for plugging in external drives and usb sticks to watch movies from

Get a fan for that sink, or nigger/redneck up one.

You pedantic sonofabitch

thoroughput is thoroughput, asshole. Stop talking about things you don't know.

Another asshole here. You are using "throughput" wrong, and the other guy is absolutely right in his point.

go look at your fucking TV manual and see if it lists USB under "VIDEO INPUT", shitlord

With some limits in size being reached, is it likely we'll have a period of complete performance stagnation until a completely new method of approach is found? If so, how much longer do you think we got until that stagnation is reached?

We haven't reached performance limits yet, there is no reason to release better CPUs if there is no competition.

For something we only see 5% perfomance increase a year for a reason but we get 50% more efficient CPUs every world.

>World
Year.

And i fucked up the other post in another board too.

Hello guys

I have an iPod classic 120GB, and itunes is not recognizing it. I can still store stuff in it as if it was an external HD though
My itunes is in the last version and I already tried connecting it to different USB ports but it still didn't recognize
Anyone knows what might be the problem?

Can anyone recommend a reputable seller (aside from OEM) to buy a replacement phone battery from? This would be for a Note 3. Verizon says they no longer carry the battery and I don't just want to buy something on eBay that will blow up in my pocket.

So i've googled this a lot and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

But essentially what are the point of delegate/function pointers, what's the benefits of using them?

Like in what instance could I say "oh this could be easily solved with a delegate"

google this nigger
>note 3 original battery amazon

are cheapish laptop cooling stations worth it? I have a desktop that I use 90% of the time but i have a nice laptop that i use for school/travel and it gets stupid hot when gaming

Winblows fag here, i fell for the meme and downloaded mpv; i have it working for the most part, but i can't find the configuration file. I found the folder where it should be but it's just empty. Am i supposed to make my own or am i dumb and cant find it?

Why has the KDE Wallet tray icon been broken on openSUSE for a while?

how do I make ranger open gifs with mpv?
i already typed
ext gif = mpv "$@" in rifle.conf

If I only need to cover a small area, how low can I set ACK Timing?

I read it should be set to twice the maximum required distance in meters, but the default in DD-WRT is 2000, which seems optimistic.

tl;dr - Can I set ACK to

This guy here again, apparently my post got meme'd on.

What I was trying to ask is if I should get sone kind of adapter cable for VGA or HDMI, since the television doesn't seem to support Displayport. Or if another user maybe knows what to do with this setup.

Why don't people build computers inside aluminum boxes? It would be a giant heat spreader.

Where do I ask for tv recommendations? Can I do it on Sup Forums?

They do. Steel cases are on their way out.
However, aircooled/watercooled is a much bigger difference regardless.

You can get the same result with a small fan underneath and a grate of some kind to raise the laptop onto.

Apple is the problem.
Use an older iTunes version.
If that doesn't work, it's one of the connectors.

if i leave my phone plugged in will it ruin the battery?

thanks man, will ask about tvs there

Will the mid-sized case I used for my a10-5800k and HD 7750 be enough to fit my new build with i7-6700k and gtx 1070?

Can I ruin my hardware if I use my unrated PSU in my new build?

Is there any real benefit of $200+ mobo's if you're not OC'ing?

is it made by Samsung?

Is static electricity a meme? I used garage air compressor on my laptop some ppl say it will damage the shit. Can't try my laptop since my charger broke few days ago and have to order a new one

yes but it's an old flip phone, not a smart phone

clean the heatsinks/fans and reapply thermal paste.

>tech illiterate
>downloads software that needs configuring
just get MPC-HC

>i got memed on
no you didnt.
what output options does your graphics card have?

you need to tell us what the model of the case is.
OR measure the space between the I/O plate and the front drive bays.

compressed air doesnt have static you retarded, but it will wear out the fan bearings if you dont immobilize them

and static is not a meme, i fried my old shit pentium 4 mobo's onboard graphics the other month.

Hey guys, help would be awfully appreciated.
I've been trying to torrent things for the past week or two, and I've been unable to make any progress.
I am using Deluge, and at the bottom, it say's "no incoming connections". I have used ports between 60000 and 65000. I have forwarded those ports. Any suggestions to my problem?

Hey guys, I am going to uni in a few weeks, and I want a good preferably free VPN for my Linux laptop since I don't want the Uni watching my internet usage.

What do you recommend?

Any way to customize Google now?

Would be nice if you could just press and hold the home button for it to start instead of that + Ok Google or maybe saying NIGHT ON FIRE could start playing a specified song.

I ate some cheese and it tasted good, didn't see or taste any mold at all, but then afterward I burped and my burp tasted really moldy. Does that mean there was mold hiding in my cheese? It was just cheddar not some blue cheese or gorgonzola or something where I would expect that.

Ustream overhauled how it did its VOD system awhile back and instead of generating large files that contained the entire video stream they are now split into hundreds of roughly 500KB chuncks. It is impractical to download all hundreds or thousands of these tiny files and then attempt to reconstruct the whole video in an editor.

What I need to know is if there is any software that will download and combine these split VODs. Livestreamer had ustream support but I don't think it's been updated in awhile and it doesn't play nice with the new system.

is your client set to the same ports?
is your ISP blocking torrents?
can you try without router straight to a modem?

a paid one, google torrentfreak+vpn

change streaming site

Best way to sort 4chins images?

I have a ton of them and they need to go to their respective board folder. Explorer is quite slow for this task.

Well, if it didn't mold in a controlled environment, you might have gotten poisoned.

Another Wi-Fi question:

How well supported is using a "wide" channel?

My phone's WiFi Analyzer still displays the same signal width for my gateway, regardless of DD-WRT setting to 20 or 40 MHz.

Yeah, that's the worry, but normally you'd taste it if it was moldy right? The cheese didn't taste bad or wrong at all until I started getting moldy burps after I was done.

>change streaming site
I don't have that luxury. The content I want is only streamed and archived on ustream.

Yes my client is configured to those ports.
My provider is Comcast, don't know if they are because I have torrented many times before.
and I am connected straight to my modem yes.

Probably not very helpful, but I've seen some programs that help. They open each image then ask you to select the folder it belongs in.

Google returns this site: rlvision.com/photosift/about.asp

Be careful, I haven't used this it might suck idk

I currently have a Phenom II x4 965. Since we just had new releases, I don't want to wait for the next round of GPUs. Is it even possible for me to make use of a GTX 1080, in non-CPU intensive games, and then upgrade the rest later on, or would it be a total waste getting something that high end? I mean, obviously it's COMPATIBLE, but could I utilize anything past a 960 or 1060?

How do I fix screen tearing on ubuntu chromium YouTube videos? I have the Adobe flash plugin installed no idea if that affects it or not

>inb4 Adobe flash
I actually want to access internet content

Are they "moldy" or like sulfur (rotten eggs)?

Because if the latter is true... Enjoy some serious shit. Serious. Shit. Pic related.

No, it's not a rotten egg taste. It's more of a ammonia-ish

Dont get a 960, the 1060 is twice as fast. You can definitely use something like that or maybe even 1070, but 1080 is overkill.

>what is HTML5

non-tech, fuck off to or

>ammonia-ish
that's semen
you got raped

Might be you're just having some mild stomach troubles, but I wouldn't discount the shitfest. I had some sulfur burps once after poisoning myself with some chicken. It was... quite the experience.

I'd prepare all the toilet paper you have, tea, water, blanket, etc, and prepare for the worst.

I ate a bag of mini bagels in the dark after remembering they were in a drawer.

I got half way through the bag before I realized that the texture wasn't smooth and turned the light on.

They were solid green with blue patches and I didn't get sick or even have any stomach problems.

Is there any addon for firefox to hide youtube video so i could just listen to music?
Or maybe something that would let me listen music from youtube in some kind of player?

Okay Sup Forums, I have a question for you:
My internet has a monthly cap, so I need to start downloading porn so I can fap even offline near the end of the month. I use the laptop at university and I'm afraid other people may use it and find all my stuff, so I ask you, is there a way, without using third party programs, to safely secure one folder so that no one can access it without knowing the password? Also, I'm running ubuntu 14.04 and I already know about folder permissions, and I know someone with root permissions (like those from a live CD) could potentially see the files. I tried to create an archive with a password, but when I open it I can still see the filenames.

What kind of computer can I put together for $200? I have a 550w power supply.

So you didn't immediately purge yourself after seeing what you ate?

I have screen tearing with MPC-HC, but only while running in fullscreen.
Any tips? I tried reinstall, using madVR, but it's still same. I'm on nVidia.

mobo - $50
pentium - $50
case - $25
ram - $25
ssd - $50

Would the Audioengine D1 Dac be able to power the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 ohms version?

buy used and you might get something useful

microsoft bitlocker if windows

update drivers? hardware acceleration on/off? pc specs?

btw, food poisoning first shows symptoms lik 24-48 hours later or something. Are you sure it was the cheese?

I lsot my laptop charger (dell), can i use hp charger without damaging anything? it says pluged in not charging. Is it safe to run laptop this way? Will runing it without battery prevent damage?

>Dont get a 960, the 1060 is twice as fast. You can definitely use something like that or maybe even 1070, but 1080 is overkill.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll have to see about upgrading come this Cyber Monday. Possibly to the 1080 though, for when I upgrade the rest. I just wanted to make sure it was even worth upgrading at all, not seeing the full potential of a card is way better than just being completely bottlenecked by the CPU and barely seeing any improvements.

I gagged a few times but they were super dry.
I remember reading that the type of mold that grows on bread isn't harmful so I wasn't super worried.

I have new gtx950
I'm downloading mpv now, then I'll try driver update. Hardware acceleration didn't helped, same as changing the renderer.

If you're getting something beastly like unlocked i5 or i7 then a 1080 would make sense. Enjoy your silky smooth 60 FPS (in a few months), user!

CPU? RAM?

The risk is low, but it's still a little like a lottery.

...

does turning off my power bar while my pc is off make a difference?

I don't think anyone has ever gotten sick from eating moldy bread.

I will keep making sandwiches even after little white or green patches appear on bread if I'm too lazy to go buy more.

You should have no problems. Really weird. Dont forget to check mobo drivers too.
Do you also get tearing with MadVR off?
If MPV also has tearing you could try VLC just to confirm it's not an issue with the media player.

Fixed it, I tried turning HA once more and it worked

What the fuck do I do? My first GPU doesn't fit. I removed the covers but those bars are in the way of putting in the GPU.

Do I just saw the damn bar off or what. I'm so pissed that something so easy should be so frustrating.

I just used it, very useful tool.
You tell it where to pull images, then where to push images. The images all go into folders named after your keypress (so if you press p they go into a folder named "P" and 2 takes them into a folder named "2" etc)

Should be pretty good for boards. If it doesn't go into the right folder then just keep going and then ctrl+x all the pictures from the folder it creates to the one it belongs in.

closer to the backplate the angled pins should slot down between the case and the mobo

Show us an angle where we can see the PCI Express port.

I think my pc is fucking with me.

I turned HA back on, just to confirm that's the issue, but there's no tearing.

While we are at it. What kind of rig would be egnough to play games on settings between max and high in next 5 years on 1336x768?

Also same question if resolution is 1080p. Setting dont need to be literaly maxed out but high to be pleasant for eyes

How to stop Windows 10 from updating to the anniversary update

Just break out the tin snips, it isn't like you need that piece of metal there.

I feel like the backplate is blocked by the bars, it screws in but it's at an angle. Will post pic after this.

This ok?

bump since im on mentioned laptop rn and dont want to find out will something brake the hard way.

i3 and 1060 for low res. i5 and 1070 for higher resolution.

most games have similar framerates with i3 and i5 today, but it might change once vulkan/dx12 becomes more used by devs and games can use more cores/threads, then we might see a bump in requirements.

Holy fuck, dude! Someone just stole your card! It's gone!

So I'm planning to buy a SMSL M3, gonna use the digital to connect to my console, usb to pc, rca sending signal to my jbl 305 while also powering my headphones

Is it possible?

Anyone have the sources list for debian testing "Stretch" ?

I'd like to see if mine are fine to compare. why debian gotta be so weird this route

Using MPV on Windows and I can't set the mouse wheel to add volume, it's used for seeking by default and it doesn't seem like I can override it?

Uninstall mpv and install K-Lite Standard or CCCP. That'll get you MPC-HC with madVR and non-retarded keybinds.

pls check this space so you have 1mm clear

Okay, so I found out that the tearing is fixed only if I use "Exclusive fullscreen mode"

However, now subtitles stopped working.

This is fucking ridiculous.
