Found the problem.

What did you mean by this?

This is a normal sized add-a-image-to-your-shitpost window

kill yourself

Sorry you own a screen with a pathetic resolution user.
Hope you're at least smart enough to use a Unix-like operating system.

No, this is.

Good thing you stretched out that window so you can see all that blank space

Like many Mac ports of cross-platform software, Chrome fails to get the finer details of Mac apps right. Generally, Chrome and OS X are like oil and water. Bits of UI all over the place are wrong (moreso after the material design update) and Google has terrible disregard for memory and CPU usage.

Unless there's something tying to Chrome specifically you're better off using Safari under OS X. Save Chrome for when you use Macrosoft Doors and Lunix.

UX design isn't the same as web design, retard.

I wanted embedded webms on Sup Forums and Safari doesn't do that. But oh well, it's better in pretty much every other way.

Plenty of people do actually.

use a different file manager

Shouldn't be too hard to write a Safari extension that makes embedded webms either use the VLC extension for playback or insert them an "Open in mpv" link. I've personally got an Alfred workflow rigged up so I can just pop it open and type mpv without having to open a terminal.

Playing in the browser or opening from the browser is not the same as playing them embedded as thumbnails.

Miles stop shitposting as an excuse to "accidentally" post your cartoon child porn

>Playing in the browser or opening from the browser is not the same as playing them embedded as thumbnails.
I know. The first option I was talking about is converting HTML5 embedded webms to old-style plugin embeds, which would insert a VLC plugin player where the the thumbnail player would normally be.

I'm serious. Look at the filenames in the file selection box and compare them to what I accidentally posted. If I wanted to post anime CP I'd go to /r9k/.

I wanted to do that but I couldn't find any information on how and I don't know javascript or anything so it wasn't going to happen.

That's not the same as embedding a video into a thumbnail.

It's as close as you're going to get it seems.
