Have you experienced the freedom of Bedrock Linux today?

Seems needlessly complicated for what it achieves, desu. You can choose your init on many distros and packages can be compiled, so why all this craziness? Or am I missing something? It just comes off as a gimmicky mess.
you're missing the ability to have cutting edge packages while running a stable distro
gentoo does the same thing with keywords
oh, does it? what if i want something not within gentoo's repos?
>>>making these implications
Just use a chroot like a sane person.
layman
in the worst case a short custom ebuild
Use layman to apply overlays (its like repos, but for portage), or download custom ebuild. You can even write your own ebuilds(it's not that hard).
layman supports a lot like bazaar, cvs, darcs, g-sorcery, git, mercurial, subversion
Layman is obsolete, just add the extra repo in the repos.conf
Inever knew that I would have to look into it
Bedrock Linux is for real. It's legit. Can use repos from multiple distros together. It makes Yoyo happy.
the best thing it does is being able to get the packages of any distro with any init system i want
>uses the linux kernel
>current year
> uses the linux kernel all the time
> doesnt know about it
What Is Linux kernel?????????
the kernel manages the memory of a pc and the comunication between software and hardware
communication*
Doesn't that still require layman for overlay management?
>it really is final destination
so basically its trying to kill you all the time?
