1 - I like coil whine. Just like I like my car's noises in the background, letting me know its usage intensity by ear. It is far more accurate than the sound the fan makes with my custom profile in afterburner.
2 - Windows 10 is good apart from privacy. It doesn't matter because you'll use linux whenever you do something requiring privacy.
3 - Programming should be taught in schools earlier than it is taught today.

I kind of agree. They're specialized operation systems for specialized tasks. Which can be done with dual boot/VMs, rendering them unusable as the main OS.

Android phones are overrated and you need to download apps to be able to customize a lot of your phones when old Nokia phones had these features built in. Also the only reason i even use Android is that all other alternatives are shit. I liked bb10 but it never took off.

There are currently 1.5 billion Windows users and 1.4 billion Linux users. What will it take for you to consider Linux mainstream?
I think Ubuntu's default DE Unity is better than the other big Linux DEs, if you are on Ubuntu there is no reason to user Gnome or KDE, however it is acceptable to user Lightweight DE over Unity, plenty of valid reasons to do so.

1. I think this is retarded, but I can almost imagine agreeing.
2. Windows 10 is shit, even apart from privacy. They ruined the keyboard shortcuts and the control panel, plus the 'Modern' start menu is completely retarded on a desktop PC - who the fuck wants the start menu to full screen? My workflow is windows-key, type part of what I want, hit enter. Half the time I don't even look at the start menu to see if it got the right thing. Modern completely destroys the efficiency of my workflow.
3. Schools have way more important problems than anything about programming. I can see your point though.

There are several distributions which are both stable and as easy to use as any OS. Whoever those two (or one) are have never even used linux, or they're one of the people who fell for the gentoo/arch meme.
Mechanical watch making is an obsolete, unnecessary, and inefficient practice that should no longer have a place in Sup Forums. If anything, it should be called ancient arts, but definitely not Sup Forums.
