The current mess that is the iPhone 7/AirPods fallout inspired me.

>41 year old grown ass man

How much pounding did your ass take on a daily basis?

Apple and their sheep consumers are a cancerous tumour on the earth.

What were your general duties at Apple? Questions change depending on if you contributed to Darwin or if you were a VP of Social Outreach

Started out in QA, had a brief supervisor role in UX, then was on an "Experience Team" which basically oversaw industrial design and software/UI design.

What prompted you to leave?

Did you go straight into another job?

How did the environment at Apple change in the 10 years prior to your leaving?

>Sup Forums

Sup Forums has a global alexa rank of 646 and has been in the top 1000 for like 7 years you fucking retard.

were you contracted by the NSA to do anything botnet-ish

Why did Apple stop producing black macbooks?

What do you think about this?

He worked on UX so probably not

Do you use an iPhone or something else? Apple Watch? Any Macs?

Do you think Apple went full retard with the 3.5mm connector decision?

I think it did. It's an essential feature, not like a floppy drive or a CD ROM.

Cell phones used to require 3.5mm dongles a decade ago. It seems like they are going backwards whenever they make the future.

How is it to work as UX/UI designer at apple? How is the work-life-balance?
I'm a German UI designer and I always thought about starting a career over there (but probably not at apple)

What's your opinion of Tim Cook's Apple and his heavy push into SJW world... including "diversity" and hiring based on the color of the skin instead of skills?

I've used Macs since 2000 or so (PowerBook G4 was my first Mac) but I've been using Linux for the past few months and won't go back to Mac until Cook is there.

Why Apple don't pay taxes.

To make a very long story short, as callous as Steve Jobs was to many, his overall 'vision' for the company was starkly different than what current management is focused on, and it proved to be a fucking mess, and will continue to be a mess.

Now I'm a design consultant for several (smaller) companies.

From 2004 - 2007, the focus was on building Apple up as this premium, coveted brand. From 2008-2010, the focus was on delivering innovation and being credited with innovation. From late 2010 to today, the focus is on trying to be ubiquitous and locking consumers into unnecessarily complicated software/service ecosystems.

The material/color combo was prone to becoming shiny and greasy over time, similar to the tops of keys.

Stupid as hell. Side story - When Multi Touch was being developed, there was an "electronic stylus" pitch, to which Steve Jobs literally said "That's retarded. We've got fingers, 'ya dummy."

I use an iPhone, iPad, Pebble Watch, and custom built PC.

Full retard from the point of everyone but themselves. It's most likely an attempt to get audio manufacturers to pay a shit ton of money to use Lightning technology.

Expect a LOT of cases that attempt to solve the 3.5mm jack issue.

>his overall 'vision' for the company was starkly different than what current management is focused on, and it proved to be a fucking mess, and will continue to be a mess.

can you clarify, do you mean that steve job's vision was a mess or the current management's vision is a mess

So, do you think this whole mess for the last 2 years is because no one can control Jony Ive's retarded ego?

>Started out in QA
> apple
> QA

fake.

Some people get old but never grow-up.

let me know when Androshit gets ever close to iOS level of security and polish.

it's not like steve's management can continue to be a mess, considering he's dead and all

Only because of Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums and Sup Forums. Most boards aren't that popular.

Well if it wasn't for yahoo's email not as many people would go there. But they do. So shut the fuck up.

Hey fruit fag,

Fellow ex fruit stand retail employee here. Fuck Apple, there was so much dirty politics in my store and I fucking hated it. I'm glad I left and good for you too. I remember reading an article about how Apple's biggest problem was the same for every large company, once you get too big the good employees that made all difference are overlooked by attention whores and leave. My store had an affirmative action diverse team of genii and they all sucked, especially the woman. They were pretty much retarded and needed constant handholding, but they got the job through politics. It was infuriating when the person that got your job constantly needed your help. Ugh. I left right before the iPhone 6+ grey bars became a giant issue.

I'm in real estate now, making commission and much happier for it. The work I put in is directly rewarded, so much better than slowly dying on hourly pay.

Good luck but also fuck you because corporate also had it better than retail.

you sound like a cuck tbqh

answer the fucking questions fuckhead. it's not reddit, your thread gonna get archived in 10 mins

was the ipod touch 2nd gen and up made more fragile on purpose? they seemed really cheap compared to the first gen.

>in my store

Fucking hell. People who work in Apple stores really should stop believing they actually worked for Apple.

Kek

Did you ever meet the Cunt? What was it like when he died?
Did people ever feel as if they knew Apple hardware was a totally overpriced scam? Did they openly admit it? Who did you feel like Apples biggest competitor was or is?
Did you ever hate working there?
He's only 5 yrs older than me, there are plenty of old guys on here, fuck off back to Sup Forums you fucking toddler

On a scale of 1 to "jesus christ what drugs are they using", how much did you cringe when they cited "courage" as the reason to dump the audio port?

Do you feel like Apple might fail hard in light of what you said here

how true is this?

Yet it costs >$million dollars to get an iOS zero day and a mere 200k for an Android.

Try harder, googlejewtartd.

Compare it to Android, iOS is way less secure, iOS is riddled with security vulnerabilities

lmao that's gay AF poser,
You didn't even write code

how many hours of meetings per week?
could you take 2 weeks of holidays?

Kim Jong Un hijacking this AMA

Ask mE Anythin

Im tyhe real deal trust me

Why start this then fuck off?

because he obviously didnt work at apple lmao. keep believing everything you see on Sup Forums.

>Compare it to Android, iOS is way less secure
>Compare it to Android, iOS is way less secure
>Compare it to Android, iOS is way less secure
top kek

Did Steve ever yell at you?

47yo here

You're in the wrong neighbourhood you little shit

If you're posting here I'm sure you have learned how to filter gee posts well

Here's a genuine question:

How come Apple has decided to shift away from releasing a clearly different hardware design for the iphone every generation? (3 to 4 to 5 to 6 all looked significantly different)
Isn't this going to damage sales in the sense that all the people that buy it as a fashion accessory won't have as big an incentive to update?

Also, do you think do you think that removing the headphone jack to replace it with a proprietary standard with licensing was a right move?

Bump in case he answers

True though, Android only has so much malware for it because of plebs installing random package files from online.

I'm 38. The userbase of Sup Forums is older than you think you little fag

Whoa whoa whoa, calm down there pops, sit down its time for your meds.

if i'm browsing Sup Forums in my 40s i want one of you to come find me and kill me for being such a fucking loser.

your anecdotal evidence is meaningless. you and the OP and maybe a few other people have claimed to be older out of a sample size that could be virtually any number you care to imagine. the stats on Sup Forums suggest the userbase is very young. maybe you're just emotionally stunted or something?

working for Apple =/= working at Apple Store

>tfw 25
>never had a Job at applel in my life

anybody wanna ask me any questions? It's okay if you don't...

How big is your dick?

almost 6in

That's a cute dick user.

How much is in your savings account?

how girly and plump is your ass?

Smooth as a babies bottom and unbelievably plump, user.

Well time to get culturally enriched
Bend over for my big brown cock

It's even dumber than that too. Since 4.4, android phones that use dm-verity have been unrootable. For some reason, very few companies bother to enable it. Samsung has it enabled in the Note phones.

>brown
As long as you aren't Indian.

It's turkish

Just like autistic manchildren like you

No

35 year old here. None of the young kids I work with use Sup Forums. They all spend all day on Reddit, Twitch and 9gag instead of working.

Maybe they're not retarded enough to browse Sup Forums in public.

They are retarded enough, trust me.

this thread is really depressing
you should all sort your lives out

>Sup Forums
>obscure

AYY LMAO

where are the proofs

I didn't die!

I wasn't DIRECTLY involved with design as much as myself and a few other people were on a small team that was effectively a more private alternative to focus groups. The work was genuinely fun and easy, but when it got hard, it sucked. My worst day was spent testing out an extremely minute motion-based animation for three hours straight.

Apple was always pretty diverse, as well as other companies; it's just now it's chic to outwardly show it. Granted, it IS going overboard, but it's not going to stay this way forever.

Steve Jobs' vision = Constantly innovate, and set standards while still being "the different company"

Tim Cook's vision = Be ubiquitous and make Apple an ecosystem/"lifestyle".

Possibly. Within the company, the iPod touch has a reputation of being a device for children, so I wouldn't be surprised if some models were designed to allow for more damage, thus needing a parent to purchase a new one.

I understood where Phil Schiller was coming from, but completely dropping the 3.5mm jack is too abrupt. What I would (realistically) do is gradually push towards wireless headphones and accessories, bundle an upcoming phone with Lightning EarPods, and then remove the jack altogether when most manufacturers are making wireless products.

We had three meetings a week that lasted about an hour each. Around deadlines, one "mini conference" a day that lasted about half an hour.

>What I would (realistically) do is gradually push towards wireless headphones and accessories, bundle an upcoming phone with Lightning EarPods, and then remove the jack altogether when most manufacturers are making wireless products.
but then they couldn't force people to buy the wireless shit

Apple doesn't have innovation or any of that shit in mind, all they want is to milk their retarded fanbase

If there was a way to keep every person below the age of 28 out, Sup Forums would become a great website.

How do the Christians working in Apple reconcile the fact that their CEO lives a degenerate lifestyle as a sodomite?

Or they're sick of other manufacturers using the photocopier straight after the keynote

introducing the iDuche, I think you'll love it

Who pushed for Apple's "redesign" phase? (iOS 7, Yosemite etc.)

is it true that things were much better under Bertrand Serlet?

thanks for doing this by the way, this is quite interesting to me.

And why would that be, user?

This is an important question for people

Does apple really monitor everything and do creepy things with your data facebook-style?

Microsoft seems to be headed that way too now, so it so, its sad. I can't see anyone being a policitian in the future when your porn and search history can be sold to the highest bidder.
