Will I regret installing it?

kde or xcfe? laptop w i5 8 gb ram

Would one be correct is saying that Manjaro is the Linux Mint of Arch?

>Will I regret installing it?
Yes, when Arch users taunt you

Yep, and much like Mint-ers, I can't see how anyone dislikes it.

niggu just install kde

bloated as HECK

Manjaro > Arch don't let the purists deceive you

I'm going from Manjaro (excellent distro, if you ask me) to Arch, is this dumb?

No, it's a free upgrade to the full version when you've been using the lite version.

>Arch
>upgrade

Thanks for reminding me to pacman -Syu

Yes. They're both green meme reskins of shitty distros and are broken and have insecure websites and pajeet-coded. sage manjaro threads, hide manjaro posts, report manjaro posters.

The question was serious, you're not making any point

You won't be missed.

The answer was serious, you're moving from Manjaro - which is babby's first Arch that doesn't get timely updates and literally adds nothing to Arch to the real deal.

This probably is bait, but what other rolling-release distro would you recommend then?

See, now you started to establish a point
I've been dualbooting Manjaro and Arch and it feels pretty much the same desu

Not bait. I use Gentoo but I understand that most people won't go for the source meme. I'd recommend Debian sid or some shit.

Probably!

How can I make Arch's font rendering better? It is a disaster by default, while font rendering on Manjaro is good by default

Can't be done

Install Antergos you fucking retard...

Use Manjaro KDE

I actually like KDE a lot

Manjaro is basically arch with "reviewed" updates
Why even move from mint when it's basically perfect?

Probably not OP
Solid distro. You'll get hate here for it. But it's nicely done. I haven;t tried it for years and would prefer antergos or arch setup but whatever.

If you liked Manjaro just try Arch with KDE

>I'm tired of mint
What the fuck is there to be tired of? If its working, whats the problem?

To be fair, there is ONE addition from Manjaro that I haven't been able to bring back to raw Arch with any success: the extensions to the KDE settings GUI that make it easier to manage graphics drivers and kernel versions. Niche, I know, but you'll love it when you have a user for it. But I don't think that is worth all the issues that put it behind something that just automates the Arch install process like Architect.

made the install and then run into problems with the kernel lol

>pacman -Syu
>Manjaro
Will this break something?
