No sd card

>no sd card
CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES

Why would you expect it to be any different from previous nexuses?

>Expecting SD card slot on a Google branded phone

idiots are still using class 3 micro sds and complaining that their phones are slow as fuck on the interwebs. that's probably why but yeah i wouldn't buy it anyway.

>specific N features for SD card
>hurrrrr it's a nexus phone what did ya expect? shucks!

>idiots are still using class 3 micro sds and complaining that their phones are slow as fuck on the interwebs.

So... rather than lower manufacturing costs and laziness, you think this is the reason?

They want all your stuff on their servers. They're Google after all, what did you expect? Their Photos app even includes a "feature" to unload your phone internal memory of all the stuff already sync'd to their cloud.

it's a google phone
it's a fucking nexus

Google wants and FORCES you to use their cloud based services

you'd have to genuinely be retarded to expect an SD slot in their next phone, and even more to be severely disappointed by the lack of it

> >specific N features for SD card
Those are actually from the 6.0 release.

I would never consider a phone that doesn't:
>Have expandable memory
>Have idle battery life of at least (comfortably) a week

>Couldn't find generic Samsung Convoy 3 image, but this will suffice

Actual reason is but yeah, people buying crappy phones with very little internal memory that would get full with just the updates for the stock apps, then unloading a gazillion apps on the absolute cheapest microSD card they could find and afterwards complaining their phone is slow as shit was a common occurence circa the Nexus 4 launch.

CAN'T USE MY SD CAAAAARD

what numale designed this? it's like a plastic children toy

...

THIS IS MY LAST RESORT

Is that seriously the design of that thing? It looks kinda shitty.

>the cloud is bad
You realize your phone wouldn't even work without networks and servers and stuff?

If you want a shrieking, 3 foot tall watercooled "rig" with a lot of spinning disks, use the one in your bedroom, check the seals on your faraday cage, and let the normies have their evil "da cloud" tracking devices

And get off the internet, YOUR COMPUTER IS BROADCASTING YOUR IP ADDRESS!!!

>2016
>Needing SD cards

Pick one. Flagships provide enough storage now a days. They're all 32gb+

why are you putting words that i haven't said into my mouth?
I just stated the facts. Google FORCES you to use their cloud services without giving you any options. Buying their devices means conforming to that.

I haven't even said anything about cloud being bad. Hell, i use dropbox on daily basis.

What the fuck is wrong with YOU?

I could pay 100 bux for a 32GB -> 64GB upgrade

or I could pay 80 bux for a 200 GB sdcard

>it's like a generic 2016 phone
FTFY

there's not really that many ways to make a touchscreen phone tho

Why do you want an SD card? Are you one of those paranoid autists that is afraid of the cloud?

I love how pajeets immediately get into serious damage control mode and start pretending there's only two ways of doing shit, eithern swallowing all the subpar be-a-good-goy tricks or not use a phone at all

he can't store his CP on the cloud

Not an argument.

I know
I'm not here to present an argument
I'm here to call you a retarded autist

Regardless the design looks like shit

Not arguments.

I've never understood how people get phones without sd cards.
Everytime I need to make a nandroid backup I save that shit straight on my sd card, and then I don't have to worry about losing any more data.
What's the alternative if the phone doesn't have an sd card? You'd need a shit ton of free storage space to make a nandroid, save it on the phone, and then transfer it to a PC.

You're a special kind of special aren't you

Still not an argument.

I hope the front isn't gloss.I'm hoping to buy this next year.

I know, I'm not trying to present one

I'm only here to insult you

Provide an argument.

My Nandroids are like 2gb max, so I don't even care

But then again I don't even do them any more.
ROM .zip file + daily Titanium Backup and I'm fine

It's a very valid argument.

The cloud is superior to SD cards considering it syncs across all your devices.

>what is otg

>Having to buy a USB OTG cable

Still not an argument you cocktrumpet.

Why do you need to make a Nandroid backup?

You realize with the cloud all your data is already saved online.

Sure

Here's the SD argument from my PoV:

I don't give a shit, I'm fine with 16GB, so I probably wouldn't even put an SD card in it if it had a slot

(see pic related)

>muh child porn collection
>muh privacy
kill yourself pedo

Not all of it, because not all my apps are from the play store.
A nandroid is also a complete backup of EVERYTHING. It saves all your settings, non play store apps, Xposed modules, etc.

>not buying microusb + usb flash drive
>not having $0.50 for a cable

I never presented it as such
It's merely an insult

Like this:

you're a pedophile

"Paranoid autist" is not an argument.
You cannot flash from cloud storage.
>Werks for me
Not an argument.
Not an argument.
Not an argument.

Why would you backup your apps? You can easily just reinstall those.

>I
>I
>I

You could be okay with this, but many people are not.

and at the same time many, many others are

Paranoid autist detected

Not an argument.

>square.
>corners

>images
>31 MB
the fuck?

The idea is that if something goes wrong while I'm flashing a ROM or something, I have a backup to go back to instantly. I don't want to spend time setting shit up again and redownloading all my apps if I can just tap 'restore' and twrp will do it for me.

STILL not an argument.

Well if you didn't want to waste your time, you shouldn't be installing custom roms in the first place.

Not an argument

You're STILL a paranoid autist

>muh cloud
>storing your files on a computer that isn't yours

On top of that, not having access to your files without internet access doesn't sound good. Owncloud is good though.

Google Photos senpai

I have no need to keep local photos

STILL NOT AN ARGUMENT YOU MENTALLY STUNTED JIZZCAP

>not having access to your files without internet access doesn't sound good
good thing I've always got an internet connection then

The autism is strong with this one

>having a dangling flash drive connected to your phone all the time

You might as well buy an iphone 7

Custom ROMs are objectively superior to stock.

Don't sperg out on us like that, autist

I'm developing a Linux (eventually ported to Windows and OS X cloud storage solution that is database-less. I still use like and use SD cards.

Nope, still not an argument.

>not having access to your files without internet access doesn't sound good

Really? How often does your phone go without internet access? I can count like twice in the last 5 years that my phone didn't have a signal, and that was out in the middle of nowhere.

>Apple relentlessly bashed for not including an SD card slot
>Android's crown jewel phones won't have one either

I HURT MYSELF TODAY

I like expandable storage but it's not a deal breaker. Seriously, show me your SD card that's using all of its capacity. Don't argue about the potential, it doesn't matter how much you CAN store if you never DO. And don't try and argue that it's future proofing. Try and tell that to all the cucks using phones that only support SDHC. One day, SDXC will be obsolete too.

If you've got enough storage to store 10 seasons of anime at 1080p, you have enough storage for a phone.

No, can't you provide a valid argument? This is not it. I'm right by the default.

There are a lot of valid reasons to flash a different custom rom.
For example if a cm14 rom comes out for your device, you'd probably want to try it.
Maybe you install an update to your existing rom and it fucks everything up and now you have to reflash something else.
If you're seriously arguing against making backups you're just an autistic retard.

You're still autistic.

>you'd probably want to try it
but I don't

If you trust a company on your files, go for it. I personally see the "cloud" meme only as more points of failure that you have no control on. That being said, I do realize that not everyone has the same opinion on this. Use what works foe you m8.

>networks and servers and stuff
You don't even know exactly what it is you're even shilling for

Why would I be autistic? I'm just asking for a goddamn argument.

You're actually wrong by default.

No, can't not be autist? This is not it. I'm right by the default.

lol @ the mad pedo autist

NOT. AN ARGUMENT.

The whole point of Nexus/Pixel is that you don't need a custom ROM.

Nexus is updated to the latest version every month, and has a clean ROM with no bullshit.

YOU'RE. AN. AUTIST

>this pedo autist thinks there's a phone lady at the phone company whose job it is to physically connect calls on a switchboard

"""clean"""
It's probably better than any other phone maker, but it still comes with pretty much every Google app ever, and I don't use all of them.

NOT
A
FUCKING
ARGUMENT

>Why would I be autistic?

It's pretty obvious.

That is a problem if you go to work by train, subway to be exact.

YOU'RE
A
FUCKING
AUTIST

YOU. ARE AUTISTIC.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I WAS TOTALLY CONVINCED BY YOUR NONEXISTENT ARGUMENT

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I WAS TOTALLY CONVINCED BY YOUR AUTISM

Not fucking arguments. This shit might fly over at Reddit, but here we require ARGUMENTS.
AOSP is pretty shite compared to CM or RR.

Do you even know what autism is?

>I must remove every app that I don't use or else my autism gets triggered

Seriously do you realize how crazy you sound?

The whole point of Nexus is it "just works" out of the box. It's like the iPhone equivalent of Android.

Do you even know what an argument?

In first world countries (i.e. not the US) subway lines are mostly fine for mobile data connectivity

In the third world country known as the US, in the only city that counts for shit (NYC), about 3/4 of stations are already mobile networked. Anything you really need you can sync. Anything you might need in advance, you just cache before going underground.

Source: commute daily in NYC by subway, frequently ride other cities subway lines in Europe and Asia

>AOSP is pretty shite compared to CM or RR.

Well that is just objectively false.
