Why haven't you switched to qBittorrent, Sup Forums?
There's a reason nobody in private trackers uses STALLEDtorrent.
Michael Powell
I don't seed on my desktop, but my seedbox uses qBT as well.
Logan Hill
>Global ratio: 0.05 stalled as fuck
Joshua Reyes
You have a 10mbit seedbox?
Joseph Martinez
>STALLEDtorrent.
The official Sup Forums name is qStalledmeme
Camden Ramirez
It's time to stop with this meme
Isaac Stewart
>Alltime What is this curry shit
Xavier Fisher
I usually ended up going back and forth between Deluge and qBitTorrent. They both have, or at least had, stalling issues. I'd stick with one for a month or two and then it'd start fucking up, so I'd switch to the other.
The last switch I made was to Deluge, probably about 6 months ago. No issues this time.
John Bailey
>not using Transmission
never stalls. ever.
Jonathan Gonzalez
Mine's stalled, you might think it's not stalled since Transmission doesn't show the total peers in the swarm, only the peers it has connected to, qBT shows all the peers in the swarm in the peer column
Kayden Turner
Transmission doesn't support using SOCKS5 for all traffic.
Jeremiah Flores
Okay so this is legit one of the few times I've ever come to Sup Forums
What's wrong with uTorrent again? I'm not trolling, I legitimately want to know.
Elijah Lee
Everything?
Alexander Anderson
>seeding huuuuuge cuck
Oliver Hall
Start with veing an MPAA sellout and then we can talk about malwares and random ad popup
Jayden Anderson
Rutracker master race here
Hudson Ward
It makes qBittorrent users feel inadequate which violates their safe space. Please do your part for social justice and use qBittorrent so everyone can be equal.
>Why haven't you switched to qBittorrent, Sup Forums? Because I use a superior torrent client. Can one even run qBittorrent on seedboxes?
Eli Collins
> basic functionality requires the use of a dozen plugins > plugins still perform worse, have less features
fuck that.
Jordan Hill
What's wrong with the latest utorrent?
Grayson Sanchez
Non-free Known botnet Has ads Does it even work on GNU/Linux?
Carson Brown
> how to spot the failed cs student
Austin White
I got it for free. Who cares, it runs on a netbook grade laptop with passive cooling. Who cares again, it lets me add torrents then downloads them, I didn't install it to look at it. Who cares x3, normal people use an OS that actually works.
Benjamin Thompson
>I got it for free. And? It's still not free software. Remember, free as in freedom, not as in free beer.
>Who cares, it runs on a netbook grade laptop with passive cooling. Still a known botnet.
>Who cares again, it lets me add torrents then downloads them, I didn't install it to look at it. Still has ads.
>Who cares x3, normal people use an OS that actually works. So, GNU/Linux?
Adrian Johnson
Wayland-ready? I don't think so. rtorrent - best torrent client, wayland-ready, framebuffer-ready, even without framebuffer it works, you can easely setup your server for seeding.
Jaxon Allen
>Who cares We do, nigger. Now get the fuck off my board!
Zachary White
It's a piece of junk.
I paid the 5$ for ad-free, because I also donate to free projects I use, so fuck it. What did I get?
A bloated piece of shit. > Interface is now McHuge, can't see my torrents anymore > It's all bugged > LABELS ARE NOT WORKING ANYMORE (workaround is, you have to enable WEBUI, enable "Append label to..". But it will be removed)
So I refunded. Fuck it.
I am still installing 3.2.3 for people I know, it can be totally cleaned up, and it's kinda modern. And stable.
Kayden Russell
>LABELS ARE NOT WORKING ANYMORE
wot
Owen Roberts
You can label stuff, but there is no more "append label to path", so you can't really organize shit, it will just spew all your downloads into one folder.
Also, that huge left sidebar. How can one developer go backwards so much?
Andrew Young
Is it safe to download from fosshub yet?
Luke Jones
I use lables a lot and used to use append to path function. I was hoping they fixed the append problem in this version.
Should I upgrade?
Blake Evans
Yes? The issue was fixed very fast.
And: Check SHA values. It takes only a few seconds.
Eli Gomez
There is no fix. "It's a feature".
Not kidding, it's on the forum, I was f. mad too.
So NO, do NOT upgrade. Just go back to 3.2.3. As far as I know the newer versions: - Have labels, AND have ads and does not support the 5$ license - No labels, AND supports 5$ license
In the 3.2.3 if you go into Options/Advanced, you can turn off all ads and crap. It supports uTP, SOCKS, etc.
Xavier Nguyen
Or some people prefer 2.2.3, 2.1, 1.6.1. But I use SOCKS, and I like uTP too.
So 3.2.3 is the sweet spot. Or qBittorrent, which is almost a replacement. The labels got fucked there too, mind you.
I tried to find an alternative, but: > Deluge. It's so fucking dumb. It's truly, Gnome-like. Even with plugins, it's barely functional. > Tixati. Closed. Written by a ponyfag. Works like shit. Who the fuck would use it? > Transmission. Windows version is half assed, and heck, it's very plain and dumb. > VUZE(classic). Not bad, not good. But the classic one is stuck on the 3.2.3 uTorrent level anyway, so it's kinda meh, and it's Java. I would rather use 3.2.3 then.
David Reed
Jesus Christ qbit is a trainwreck. Why are people supporting this shit instead of calling the devs out.
Maybe the uT 221 faggots are right. I should go back to that or get deluge.
Andrew Brooks
It's not the devs, they are working real hard on the client. It's just the project tries to cater to people.
Now some special people (i.e. faggots) have special needs. Of course, they are also the most vocal. (see feminists, cucks)
So what happens is, they ask for very stupid features, which, because they are very vocal, get implemented. I wish the team would be like Linus.
Colton Wright
There are some unnecessarily convoluted rules you can define in the settings window now.
Justin Perry
99% sure it wont work right with sonarr
speaking of sonarr, why the shit wont they update it to add more trackers.
Connor Torres
Tell me if that's not a step backwards. Or 10 steps.
I don't even know, 99% of their major users are casual plebs.
Because rTorrent blows qBittorrent outta the fucking water!
Gabriel Torres
>people actually sperg this hard about their fucking torrent software who seriously gives a shit
Mason Moore
>announcing reports
>normie scum
Oliver Long
>Still no new stable build for Debian Fuck.
David Hernandez
Not that I've seen. I can recall old searches but that scraping tool is a super fast way to run down active links!
Ethan Gray
?
I have about 250 torrents and it works fine for me, never installed any plugins, only ever changed the values for amount of torrents seeding at once etc.
Parker Powell
I get this as well, in my Incomplete directory. After a while there are loads, seemingly empty.
Matthew Gomez
Seems like a Windows/NTFS problem. Never had that in 5y of using qBT on GNU/Linux.
Easton Jackson
>rtorrent - best torrent client, wayland-ready, framebuffer-ready, even without framebuffer it works, you can easely setup your server for seeding, prevents torrents from showing as completed if you choose not to download parts of the torrent so great if you want a load of torrents showing 73%, 82%, 14% ftfy
Liam Sullivan
qBittorrent looks like shit in OS X ill stick to transmission
Noah Cox
I use linux. It started the previous one or two releases.
