Do you turn off/reboot your computer through terminal, hotkey or button in the bar, Sup Forums?

#reboot

Also
>shutting down computer
kek

>in the bar
???

is this some kind of joke?
>man walks into a bar and turns his computer off

On windows, i put it to sleep via the win + x menu. I dont turn off my Linux machines, but reboot through terminal.

I'd hotkey her vagina if you catch my drift

I don't

i just type halt

Alt+f4, return

I'll have a rum and coke

>in the bar
>doesn't know what the bar at the bottom is called
>anime poster

Huh it all makes sense why you're so brain dead.

Man of fine taste

Windows -> button.
Linux -> Terminal.

I press the button on the case. #jfmsu

win+x up up left down down enter

sudo shutdown -h now
on windows i never shut down unless theres an update, then i just reboot.

sudo shutdown -h now

though usually I don't shut down, sleep is

win+x up up left down enter

Works in win8-10

Who's this cute polygon princess?

alt-space->re/sh/sl->enter

Not Maki, therefore who gives a shit

bar

I don't.

shutdown -h now
reboot

Kamiya Nao

Win key, right arrow, enter.

who tf turns off their computer

Windows 7 is:
Win key, right arrow, enter

I suppose your superior OS is ``faster'' though, amirite?

>sleep
close the laptop lid

>shutdown/reboot
On linux Ctrl+T for terminal, sudo shutdown now

On Windows I just click the buttons.

bashfu --do-some-shit /that/may/take/ >> a_while && poweroff

Nah it's not, but most people hated on 8 because they didn't know they could get most of the convoluted shit done without the charms by just pressing win+x (as of 8.1 ...).

I hold the power button on my computer until it shuts off

You hold it?

Win+x, then double tap U. Less than half a second.

there's nothing wrong with that if you don't have hard drives, and everything's saved/closed.

MOM'S GONNA FREAK

Why the fuck would someone pair that dance with that dress when the frilly shit covers the legs, if you really want to use a dance that focuses on booty and legs then atleast fucking switch it to the left side so it doesn't block.

I mapped the pause break key to sleep using auto hotkey.

Arch+i3 I don't have much choice other than terminal

Win10 I ask Cortona to shut down the computer once she's done logging my activity for the day.

Iktfb
I used to turn it off but then i found out about jav torrents

Shutdown : Win+ x, u, u
Reboot : Win+ x, u, r

Whats wrong with holding it

alt+f2, po, return
(autocompletes to poweroff).
Does this mean terminal or hotkey?
Pressing the power button takes more time for some reason.

Ppl usignoli Cortona..

...

1. it takes too long.
2. we used to have really bad operating systems which might fail the next boot, but I don't think this applies anymore. I only do it if the OS freezes

I press Start then Shutdown and wait for the message that says "It's now safe to turn off your computer" then I press the power button.

ctrl + t
shutdown now

why do you need sudo to shutdown?

I have to shutdown because it's always a gamble whether my laptop will wake up from sleeping, while simply locking and closing the lid will still drain the battery.

Don't really mind as it only takes ~30 seconds to boot.

the only viable option.

These webms with the polygon anime girls creep me the fuck out. The shading, the motion, the fact that she's almost always facing the camera directly, it all adds up to being unsettling.

Just recently I started making these for my morning commute(1 hour one way), get to work buzzed and don't need coffee. My boss told me yesterday that i was more perky than usual and more fun to talk to in the morning and asked if I got a new bed or something

>having to shut down or reboot

Is this a Windows thing?

On 8.1 I use the Start Screen buttons the side gems or whatever they are called fuck shit up.

I don't. Pic related.

when I reboot (about every 4-6 weeks), I do it via terminal

Shutdown?
Power button for 3 seconds. Instant.

Why the fuck wait for stupid shit to save when 90% of every program out there has version control and/or temp saves your file automatically in the event of failure or crash?
If it doesn't do this, it isn't worth having saved on your computer.

Fucking hell, not seen this in forever.
I prefer the version of that with him eating the bird as well.

they're cute as fuck dude

systemctl reboot

Usually in a terminal but if one isn't open I'll use a run prompt.

Power button if i want to shut down.

dmenu. winkey + r, then type 'pow,' and hit enter since it autocompletes to 'poweroff.'
