Got some last week from GB since I didn't feel like overspending on Gilettes anymore, worst mistake of my life. The shave that they give is godawful, coarse, and overall unpleasant.
Either use an electric razer or buy a shavette

Goldway from Aliexpress. Any specific reason for getting the pro version instead? I have the normie-version, since I wasn't planning on gaming with it or nothing, just communication and music, maybe a little web browsing when neccessary. Probably still going to be an upgrade from my iPhone 4.

My Banana Pi (first model) arrived earlier today, along with a case and a sata cable.
The packaging was, as is pretty much standard for chink shit, incredibly basic, but at least they had the courtesy to use antistatic bags.
The cable (from Gikfun iirc) works so far, but I'm a bit wary of the durabilty, plus it's a bit hard to plug into your drive.
The case is rather nice, it's just black with rounded edges. It's got openings for all the appropriate ports, including some on the top for the GPIO, serial console, camera ribbon, and LVDS ribbon. The buttons work fine, and everything fits in the case right. It's even got the PCB elevated with vents and mounting holes on the bottom. My only complaint with it is when you put in the PCB, you have to push pretty hard to get the latches to snap it in, and the opening for the microUSB port makes it so some cables can't quite fit. Overall a great product, was p cheap too.
The board itself: My first impression is that it's gonna break if I handle it wrong. The thing is seriously thin and has an uncomfortable amount of give. While putting it into the case, I didn't have any problems, however it's still a bit concerning. Another issue I had is that the yellow RCA video out doesn't work for me. It may very well be a problem with my software setup (U-boot + NetBSD), but I wouldn't be surprised if the jack's just screwed. Aside from those things, it's a pretty nice little board for ~$30. It's got the same stuff as a base model RPi, but also an IR receiver, SATA port, a separate USB OTG port, and a serial TTL console interface. There's full specs on the website. Software wise, it's about on par with the RPi. There's a bunch of specialized ported GNU/Linux distros, and (seemingly) full support for NetBSD, and WIP support for FreeBSD. Overall it's a great budget SBC, it's been pretty painless to set up so far. I'm going to use it as a seedbox with occasional ftp and http stuff so we'll see how that goes. Pics and links coming soon.

I bought a safety razor for like 1 buck that was really okay.

I was having this conversation on the smartphone thread but it died and I can't find the new one.
You'll get weaker reception in some areas iirc, but it's really insignificant. As long as your device supports one band it'll connect just fine. My Nexus has no issues on 4g in the 3 years I've owned it

Can I tell the difference somehow before I get my hands on the phone? Vendor, price, anything?
Liam Foster

go to your transaction screen shot on aliex
if you got the mediatek version, then you unfortunately got cucked
I'm not talking about the note-versions, but the normal 5" screened ones. I can't find any notes on there being a Mediatek-chipset in the Redmi 3, only Snapdragon 616 it seems. (Note 3 Pro has Snapdragon 650)

Did anyone in the UK watch Fake Britain the other day? They were focusing on a few things and one was fake Chink memory cards. This thread was the first thing I thought of when I watched it.
Now to my question, anyone gotten themselves an Inctel/Mikrotik/Unbranded firewall from Aliexpress? Been looking for a pfSense box and there's 4 and 6 NIC boxes for less than £200 available. The other option is I build something myself, but when you try and source a board with a low power chip that supports AES AND has a full bandwidth x4 PCIe slot for a used Intel NIC from eBay, you're talking stupid money.

Or get a decent safety razor. Bought 200 derby(turkish) razor blades for ~6€, they last long, shave really well, no irritations. Worked for me, maybe it'd work for you too.
This store sells a lot of neat retro game stuff, like repro consoles, handheld versions of old consoles, and "6 Gorillion in One" cartridges, all for pretty good prices.

>We test the damn memory cards and SSD No you don't. You rely on faith that it isn't fake with your limited high school age understanding on electrical engineering.

found the british pleb don't like chink shit? then FUCK OFF
Zachary Hughes
Keep on keeping on kid.
Kevin Hall
can't wait until you british fucks finally fuck off from the EU so we can get shit done
>nobody wants you ignorant plebs in here complaining that some chinese stuff is fake shit Better to remain in ignorance.
Justin King
No, you don't need a computer engineering degree, you blistering retard.
Test with f3 or something on your Gentoo Linux. Or manually create a file with the right size with dd from urandom, run a sha-256 or md5 sum, copy it on and off, create sum again, compare.
H2testw is commonly used on Windows.
Apart from that, we have dozens of people who tested their damn shark - they're not fake and only very rarely damaged.
