PC-BSD is designed to do this. But uses KDE instead of Cinnamon. but with FreeBSD I do believe you can install Cinnamon

I think all of the BSDs can be tried from the install media but only OpenBSD has X in the base and I'm not sure if the ramdisk kernel even has graphical drivers in it.

It's a lot easier to manage as most of what you'll want to do in the FAQ (for OpenBSD anyway).
Most packages are the same and pkg_add is quite simple to use (there's a pkg_find script which helps).
I don't really have much to say other than the things you most likely know so I won't waste your time with it.
My personal experience of OpenBSD has been quite nice as the man pages cover mostly everything I need and the FAQ covers the rest. I would say it feels solid compared to linux as it's extremely difficult to break things (standard rm -rf / will still destroy your system).
