Isn't PDF Export a separate option from Save As in that version of Office? It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure I remember that in 07.

Even the most minor device drivers run on the root level which takes down the entire system when anyone of them crashes. Getting the blue screen because you plugged in a printer is a pretty serious flaw.

Pretty sure you can do it with the print dialog using the Print to PDF option, I think even my Win2000 boxes have that with Acrobat.
