I have a subscription for kaspersky on pc. Kaspersky provides AV apps for mobile devices as part of the subscription package.

it's just silly to have an antivirus on your phone in the first place
since 90% of applications come from walled-garden app stores and the other 9% are foss alternatives hosted on secure sites, there's not really any use for a mobile av unless you're a moron

The worst an app can do is wipe your sd card. Any suspicious flagged to google can be purged.

Got a call from someone who had let their ESET licence expire. As a result ESET turned their software off. They didn't just stop sending out the new virus signatures. The software stopped working.
Windows without anti-virus is not a pretty sight.
