No, thanks. Wait? What's that noise?

PIA shills flooding this thread in:

Doesn't work in my country.

If you're not a pedo or doing something brutally illegal it will be fine.

Don't fall for the

>USA Based

Meme.

What are you having it for? In almost all scenarious it's fine. I'd like to see some alternatives suggested

Shilled shit

Not a shill
But I tried every single one out there (I can list em all, and where everyone failed), the only VPN provider who provide all in one package is PIA
Also it is dirt cheap, support is awesome

>inb4 make your own
Yeah, its not hard, but that defeat the purpose of VPN desu, also limited bandwidth.

Someone dump the spreadsheet

I don't mind it. I use it for torrents. It's fast. No more angry notices from my ISP.

I see. And did you ever pause to think how they can afford to give significantly better service at such low prices? Because it's a honeypot.

Use M u l l v a d instead.
Reccomended by sp00ky hackrrzz across the globe.

Thats funny because I've used them for about 4 years. I average around 10TB a year for torrenting movies and have never had any issues.

They're trying to catch bigger fish than you, and they're still likely sharing your info with the government.

>government
You mean 3rd parties with interest in laws

hot can i get a gov qt to personally report on me

This

[citation needed]

you should set up your own VPN on a VPS in another country m8

>no Linux
I still like it but that makes me sad

>No linux
what is openvpn?

>Updated Mac, Windows & Linux Clients v.65 Released

The fuck you talking about? I use it on mint.

I don't know, I haven't heard of it before.

How though?

> Falling for based in Europe meme
Have fun with those mandatory logs

Reminder

Oh, cool.

Redpill me on this.

I'm kind of afraid to buy a VPN with credit card because that kind of defeats the purpose right? I mean CC transactions are probably traceable around the globe.

But then again I don't want to get one where you can only pay with cash or gift cards because that'd likely put me in the same boat not only with torrenters but also with pedos and terrorists and shit.

So shitty 1 click hosters or mediocre quality streams it is for me?

>Five eyes
>Anglosphere

Anglos are a fucking mistake kys now.

>Italy

lmao implying my incompetent country law enforcement is involved in any spying with the NSA, they're probably still figuring out how to shut down Windows XP machines

2bh if you're literally to stupid to get money online without leaving a giant paper trail, you likely aren't important enough for anyone to give a fuck that you torrented swifts latest album.

citizens believing bodies of governments are incompetent is how most of this shit gets through quite frankly

PIA shill detected.

PIA is USA based but they also don't store any logs or information associated with the use of their VPN. They've been hit with court orders before, and the information they hand over is essentially useless.

torrentfreak.com/vpn-providers-no-logging-claims-tested-in-fbi-case-160312/

Not a shill but they're pretty based imo, I've been using them for a couple years now. I usually get ~80mbps down for $70/yr

>trusting american services after snowden

>Since Lavabit did not keep logs and email content was stored encrypted, the FBI served a subpoena (with a gag order) for the service’s SSL keys. Having the SSL keys would allow them to access communications (both metadata and unencrypted content) in real time for all of Lavabit’s customers, not just Snowden's.

You don't need to worry about logs when your provider MITMs you.

They also accept bitcoin and giftcards. You can go buy a giftcard with cash then use that to buy a PIA subscription. Its pointless though if you are going to use your home IP to connect to it.

There are usually options for paying with bitcoin.
But if you want to remain anonymous, you might want to make other people pay for the vpn, or share the vpn with a group of people.
That way, you can get a group of people to buy one vpn and then you will log into one at random.
Maybe you buy a vpn at a cloud provider, so you can control the initial logs, so you will never connect to the vpn's directly.

Complete anonymity is very hard to achieve as you always rely on computers to move a message from A to B and at any point can those messages be written down, including who sent it and who it is for.

>torrentfreak.com/vpn-providers-no-logging-claims-tested-in-fbi-case-160312/
>Nevertheless, there are plenty of decent people using services like PIA’s

haha yeah like what?

(Disclaimer: I also use it, but who are they trying to take for a ride? We all know very well what the primary usage of PIA is)

So you must be doing some highly illegal shit then right? If you pay for a VPN to do that then you are retarded anyways. Even if they were monitoring traffic they obviously dont dont give a shit about torrents which is the only reason I use it since its cheap and has unlimited bandwidth

>Its pointless though if you are going to use your home IP to connect to it.
If whatever crazy legislation allows for VPNs to be banned and they can like a credit card to a VPN company, it's better to pay cash.

As long as they keep their promise and don't keep logs, the connection between my home IP and their servers is useless unless I'm the only one using that VPN IP AND my ISP has also kept logs.

I used it in a [real] Chinese cartoon in the last 3 years, nothing so far.

>So you must be doing some highly illegal shit then right?

No. Why would you assume that? I can make a rational observation based on available evidence and give my opinion on a public forum. I don't even use a VPN at all. You, on the other hand, admit to using a VPN for torrents which more than likely means obtaining TV/movies/music illegally. You are the one engaging in "highly illegal shit" and just confirmed it on a public forum.

>more than likely

Are you assuming?

Give me a list of your last 100 torrents that are not ISOs.

It's not private, it's not internet, and it certainly isn't access.

You got a warrant?

>Give me a list of your last 100 torrents that are not ISOs
>does not comply because REKT

Not doing anything illegal eh?

I rest my case.

Nice try FBI ;^)

Couldnt even if I wanted to. I delete it from my client once Its downloaded. Im a filthy leech

Oh that's ok. Filenames will suffice.

Why not just use Mullvad?

Its fine for torrents as the speeds are great but I still wouldn't go with USA based for anything deeper, but that should go without saying

No company would go after a logless VPN us based or not for fucking piracy, but I would never trust it for things like whistleblowing or cp and shit that they actually go after

Also I've never seen a product get called out for astroturfing as much or consistently as pia, I wouldn't trust them much farther than the torrenting I use it for

I browse via a marianas web client

good luck.

>I browse via a marianas web client

dayum son. that is some advanced shit

>Redpill me on this

I have been using PIA for a year now and nothing has ever happened. I challenge anyone to prove to me where someone has got fucked using PIA

protip: you can't

I think PIA is fucking great, never had any problems with it.

Moral of the story, don't use PIA
true story
How come no one ever mentions AirVPN? Personally I think it's one of the best services around.

>NSA hosting!
No thanks Airvpn is much better. Cryptostorm is the best. Your own vpn botnet is the supreme.

I know this isn't as secure, but the cheapest option that I use to get out of my workplace's locked down network is an OpenVPN server on a $5/mo Digital Ocean droplet. It's really fast and cheap.

It's the only VPN I've used, and I have a very pleasant experience with it. Tech support was fairly helpful as well.

I've also heard it being praised as being one among several GOAT VPN's due to their policies and support. Looks like they're living up to their name. I just kind of wish they had more servers in a more diverse set of countries. The majority of them are located in Canada, the Netherlands, or the US.

I think it'd be pretty cool if there were some in like some middle Eastern countires, or more in Asia or even Ausfailia.

Isnt AirVPN based in Italy, which is one of the 14 eyes countries?

The parent company yes. But unlike countries like Britain, Germany and the U.S., I don't think that Italy very much gives a fuck about this kind of intelligence.

I could be wrong though. Would be nice if an Italobro could verify for us.

I don't trust them. No warrant canary, USA based, actual paid shills, etc
I use proxy.sh

All those countries still work together though.

If you cant set up your own VPS I heard ExpressVPN is pretty good, kind of expensive though.

As far as we know there is no system like prism or whatever the nsa's one is called here, i doubt the it guys in our government would even know how to do something like that
We have data retention laws right now because no one ever questioned the constitutionality of it but they only apply to ISPs so no worries about that

I don't need privacy. I have no CP to hide.
