Well, the recovery mode I have only has one option related to accessing files and it's a /mount system option, which shows nothing in windows because I figure that either my drivers are fucked or I don't understand what it means by mounting /system I figured I would flash twrp to it using Odin. I read a few guides, downloaded Odin and the twrp for my model. I open Odin and none of the com's have anything in them. My phone isn't recognized, so I can't flash anything to it in Download mode. I'm starting to figure it's my drivers but I've installed the ones the guide tells me to and still nothing.

Sure as long as your new phone uses miniSim I had a mini sim in my old phone, but my new phone was nano but the sim couldn't get broken down into a nano so I had to go buy a new pack (tmobile, they would charge 20$ I got it from best buy for 5$), broke the first one trying to do it myself, took the second one I bought to tmobile and had them break it down and then transfer my account data to new sim.
