>Fedora, the only paid Linux distribution around and the only one that regularly receives massive funding from the US government

>Not cuck tier

This is how deluded you have to be to be a Linux faggot.

Found the triggered wincuck

>inexpensive and just works tier
Windows

>Expensive, just works, "I love dongles" tier
macOS

>Mid tier
Ubuntu, Debian

>Into the trash it goes tier
Everything else.

Triggered by what? I know my OS is shit, I never even denied that.

What I did was point out how retarded you have to be to think using an operating system literally subsidized by the US government makes you smarter than anyone.

give me one good reason why I should use debian over arch.

>Fedora, the only paid Linux distribution around
Nice one retard

...

>newbie friendly beginner distros
Ubuntu/Debian/Mint

>Boring wageslaves
Fedora/Fedora based

>Top tier server usage and serious programming and production environment
Arch/Gentoo

It doesn't shit the bed

Windows is an OS for cucks that have no speech or authority over their own OS

There is none

Name 3 more that arent bullshit niche distributions nobody actually uses.

I'll wait faggot.

wtf i hate my stable arch distro now

Windows is an OS for people who have better things to do with their time than spend all day configuring bullshit and compiling from source.

>Fedora
>Paid
Dumb winbabby trying hard to fit in

It's made by competent, serious people and is used by not only hobbyists but also professionals and big companies.

Arch is made by hobbyists for hobbyists.

Fedora is free, retard. That's what I was trying to tell you.

Red Hat is the one that'll cost you.

All tech illiterates in the world indefinitely use windows and internet explorer. Some of them also think they need to compile sources to run Linux.

Is this bait?

Stability, support, and just werks out of the box.

What big company do you run on your laptop?

What makes debian magically stable? Does it fix upstream bugs?

centos should be put on par with debian imo.
Not even for being a good system but for the amount of redhat contributions to gnu and Linux in general.

You do need to compile from sources if the program or library version you need isn't the one your distro ships. Linux users are the true cucks, as they are limited to the choices their distro maintainers have made for them, while Windows users can easily use any version of any software they want.

basically there are 2 choices

are u hardcore?
=> Arch

are u noob
=> Debian based

Consider suicide

Such as?

>beta testing for us government
>god tier

I actually work for a big multinational. No, they don't use Arch ;)

I use Arch but cause of people like you I kinda want to stop using it

I actually work for a big multinational. No, they don't use Debian either ;)

You know arch has been picking up a lot of market share, right? It's hard to find reliable statistics on this, but it isn't like it is some "unheard of" distro. It doesn't see as much share of the server market as debian, but it does get server use.

What makes the devs less competent than debian?

just werks on my machine ;) Debian installer had issues with sourcing the files.

>Such as?
Such as any program or library that exists?

Also, protip: if you use "restart options" on that screen, you can easily postpone the restart to any time you want ;) Of course technology impared people that don't even know why would you need a different version of a program or library wouldn't know that.

>Libraries are magically more stable on debian

meant for this cuck

>Can't name an absolute library
>Thinks his bullcrap microblog counts
>"Postponing" forced reboots

Arch is for underage and/or NEETs. People who need a tiny, lightweight headless distro probably cannot use arch because
>muh two mainstream desktop architectures, one is also dead.

still not an argument.

See wincuckold

Debian dropped PowerPC support

Shiggy diggly doo

>Fedora

I agree with Ubuntu but that's just crazy talk. It's absolutely utter tripe, the only reason some fucktards (like you, OP) rate it is because m-muh linus uses it

linus gets paid by red hat
them faggots do it for free

>ubuntu god tier
>debian not god tier
>openbsd shit tier

Shit list and you're a shit person

>Paid
Are you downloading Fedora from China?

You forgot employed tier: Red Hat
Debian would also be under that category.

Not Linux but so would Solaris.

Even then you're paying for support, not the distro.

>Wageslaves
Either that or he's a college kid.

...

So? It doesn't make any sense to develop for a dying architecture.

>Debian dropped PowerPC support
only 32-bit PPC

OpenSUSE is a better distro for desktops than Fedora and even Arch, though its docs are worse than Arch's. Tumbleweed is the only rolling release distro with automatic OpenCV-based tests that ensure your GUI doesn't break.

> no rolling distro in top tier

Nigga u full tard

>arch
>production environment
lol
I use it on my work PC but theres no way in hell we'd ever run it on anything in production.

Macos doesn't "just work" if you actually have to work with it. It's incredibly badly designed and full, and I mean FULL of bugs. Incredible how this piece of shit has that reputation

>gentoo
>not rolling
???

MacOS with pkgsrc is the best Unix.

>fedora
>paid

Fucking idiot

You sure don't. One day you may though, remember those firm handshakes!

How do you guys feel about Antergos? It cuts out a lot of Arch autism while allowing you to still use the Arch repositories.

Windows is ten times more expensive than OS X, you retard.

>he needs a bad installer to install arch for him
ok dude

>fedora ubuntu god tier
legitimately what the fuck are you talking about.

>he would rather waste 20 - 30 minutes following the tutorial on the wiki then have something do it for him
?
This is why Arch users are the worst. I'm surprised you didn't bring up "knowing how your system works".

Ubuntu and Mint are 98%+ identical, so how the fuck can they be so far apart on your dumb list?

You can't /thread your own thread.

Saged reported and hidden.

bump

Just use Ubuntu or Debian if you don't wanna fuck around configuring shit

Except Windows users also have to compile open source software if a binary isn't hosted for download. Closed source software stops supporting old hardware/versions of windows so you don't have any semblance of more choice than Linux users

Consider a person who looks for a laptop to surf and do shopping while watching TV. You can get windows ones for

>Consider a person who looks for a laptop to surf and do shopping while watching TV.
Ipad with Apple pay system. You don't know very many normies do you?

\setlength{\thread}{300posts}

It's pretty decent.

Still more expensive
>You don't know very many normies do you?
Actually I know a lot of normies, but not a single one of them has Apple products. I know 3 people who even have a tablet and those are shitty Samsung ones.

Gentoo saves the day

Linux newbie here. I have installed mint on an old laptop and linux seems like too much of a mess to do something decent with it. Still Windows lags so it cant be helped I guess.

But mint feels unstable. I was going to install ubuntu/lubuntu but is it the same shit as mint? Still I need to use this old laptop so I need a "just werks" linux distro.
Any recommendations please?

>FreeBSD
>not OpenBSD
>Noobuntu in god tier
>Slackware in mid tier instead of god tier
eat shit and die

>feels unstable
What the fuck does this even mean? Do things crash? Do they not crash? Or do you just "feel like" they're going to crash?

I put the laptop into sleep mode and when it wakes up I can't bring the desktop on screen as it just lags on a black screen. I reset it.
Also accesibilty doesn't work. I needed virtual keyboard one time and it didn't work. I installed florence instead.
There kinda shit makes me think it is unstable.
I have been using mint for like a week and I don't know if more shit like these will come up later.

Also I messed up desktop manager today and still couldn't bring it back to normal.
Such pain.

Do your hibernate or suspend when you close the lid? It is more stable if it does the former.
