Glossy displays are literally impossible to use. Why do they still exist?

I don't know but they're illegal at German workplaces.
You can sue any company that provides its employees with glossy monitors.

they look nice for the first 30 seconds of owning one

Richer color and darker blacks.

If you have them in a place where you can keep glare off of them they are great.

Why would they be illegal?

because they act like mirrors and remind them that theyre a fucking white male

I have to agree with this, they are pretty good when not exposed to light.

Because they are annoying to look at and can induce headaches.

>The screen must be free from interfering reflections and glare.
>The keyboard must have a low reflection surface.

Because glossy displays are not literally impossible to use

That's fucking retarded

confirmation that germans are retards

You want dark blacks?
Go to fucking Nigeria and leave my monitors alone

>tfw I own the same monitor

It's usable in environments with moderate light. The only issue I can see arising is if there is a window behind you when you are looking at it (which most people would likely avoid doing in the first place anyway.)

I prefer the better color a glossy monitor gives you.

I guess that's why high end monitors always have an option for glossy.

Get none shit lighting in your office/bedroom.

It's a...FEATURE

We all know matte displays are better, but then manufactures figured out, that they could sell glossy and then make matte a feature for extra cash.

It's only for your pleasure, consumer goy

Touchscreens

enjoy your headaches

>tfw when apple displays are illegal

>inb4 when when

Technically they are. Of course where there's no plaintiff, there's no judge, so the employee can willingly chooses Apple devices.
Large German enterprises like Siemens however have matte monitors throughout.

Because they look good in the showroom.

Touchscreens

>Richer color and darker blacks.

That's bullshit. That's like saying that when wearing red and blue 3d glasses you have richer reds and blues.

Because Germany thinks their citizens are between 1 and 1.5 years old. Don't like thing? It's illegal now.

It's true though. Under decent lighting conditions glossy screens look better than matte ones.

>Covering your display with scotch tape.

Absolutely disgusting.

Pictures or fuck up.

To see yourself and to see whats behind you!

Glossy is gr8, fuck off. Also turn on the monitor dipshit there's way less reflection when you do.

they produce image that looks clean unlike matte panels. matte is unacceptable. semi-glossy panels are good enough as grain is not that noticeable on lower brightness.

TFW Germany just became my favorite model of the ideal totalitarian system.

(consumers don't deserve a choice)
