How do you deal with the internet still being optimized for low resolutions?

How do you deal with the internet still being optimized for low resolutions?
I have an 1080p monitor and a 1366x768 monitor and the web looks much better and comfortable on the smaller monitor.
Now if I want to upgrade, the browser would be fucking huge with a ton of wasted space and text being really annoying to read with long lines of text and no linebreaks.
The problem must be even bigger in 2k and 4k.

Do you just accept it, or is it now common to use your browsers in window mode? If window mode, how do you manage the size and position? What do with the remaining screen space?

Well... don't maximize your browser window. Have multiple windows open next to each other. Then there's no wasted space.

FUCKHUGE TEXT
The only answer.

>buys notebook with FHD display
>half of the screen is wasted on Web pages too
>on a 13" screen

So zoom in?

>what is design based on the lowest common denomimator

Yes.

no

Websites are sometimes showing me the mobile layout if I split the window on fhd. It sucks and I have to make the window big to see full content.

Majority access the internet through mobile devices

protip: don't fullscreen your browser at higher resolutions
I spend about 60-80% of my screen real estate for the browser depending on resolution, and that includes having tree style tab on the left side of firefox.

Well, my main computer is a laptop with a 1280x800 display, so I don't really give a fuck.

Use a vertical monitor for web browsing, programming and reading.

>optimized for low resolutions

What the fuck would you put in that space?

Wasted space can always be filled with elf tits OP.

use max-width property in the css you retard.

>elves
>literally nature's sluts
>ever being in charge of anything

>implying elves don't get ranks for their cock riding skills

>he doesn't know about zoom addons

help a retard how do I fix this

How would max-width help?

It wouldn't, he's just a retard

Get a vertical monitor.

All shit is designed for smartphones now.

I use this custom css in Sup Forums X (and some other sites) for this issue, looks better to me
body {
max-width: 90em !important;
margin: 0 auto !important;
}

What's the problem here? As far as I know, you can change how much space text/icons/etc. take up even if you have a 4k screen.
Just have it so text icons take up more pixels.

I dunno op

deal with it

That's because you're browsing a website that was designed in 2001, what else did you expect.

Wasn't Sup Forums made in 2008?

...

Forgive me, I am bad at it.

ctrl+scroll Up
>works every time on my 3k moniter

What does it do?? I don't want to get a virus.
