IDEs

What's your favorite IDE?

Mine is eclipse.
>It's cross platform.
>It's easy to use.
>I find it to be intuitive.

Android Studio

eclipse android studio or idea android studio?

it's rethorical question actually, we all know that eclipse android studio was worse than hitler

What's even the point of using Eclipse then there is InteliJ? It's a straight upgrade.

android-developers.blogspot.hu/2016/11/support-ended-for-eclipse-android.html

NetBeans, Visual Studio.

Visual studio is bretty nice. I don't have to think and it just works with the best code completion I've ever seen. Otherwise qtcreator is growing on me since i develop for both windows, linux and unix. Better than fiddling around in emacs or vim.

Visual Studio for C# and C++. Intellij for Java and I have yet to try PHPStorm for PHP, I'm used to just using a text editor

Visual Studio, IntelliJ and PyCharm.
What do i say, i love putting my ram to use.

Its here for that user-kun

>not using ed

Unix

>not using sed and awk in combination with a series of pipes and redirects for all your text editing needs

Geany is mine.

What's the best ide on android? Language not important

I like to use Geany or Code blocks sometimes for stuff that's hard to set up

code::blocks

just because it has just the right amount of bloat

I've spent days just fucking with eclipse.

This is actually an ok IDE

you can tell they put in a lot of effort into it just werking

Too much bloat and the interface tries to hard to be slick for me. Impressive what they've done with it though.

Today i have a productive mindset. But I know that when I close my eyes and fall asleep this part of my odentity will be killed, replaced by a basic gratification module. I don't want to delete my current self to be replaced with that. What do I do

Drink bleach, you won't regret it.

suspend the session instead of shutting down.

have you tried not watching porn

All jokes aside I'm legitimately terrified. I'm in that short moment of clarity but I know it will it will be gone soon, a momentary pause to a disastrous path.. soon I'll have to sleep and when I wake up this state of my mind will be gone, replaced by a guaranteed failure. Please help me

try not watching porn its what i do. i still jerk off but no porn

Eclipse for C/C++ - although I'm not that much of a friend of it since there is some Syntax in C++11 it doesn't understand - fucks up Syntax highlighting and error checking occasionally.
Also the Installer for Neon is a pos, they should just distribute it the way they did before instead of fucking up so bad.

Np++ for all script languages.

You can try qtcreator with clang code model. It's quite decent. Eclipse feels out of place and not really adapted for C++.

vi

Thanks university for giving free VS, so VS. Prefer it over IDLE for Python.

I got it from University too (community something something), but I havent used it since it asked for a log in 2 weeks after I installed it. Is there a way around it?
Calling the Compiler from other IDEs works though.

I use gedit.

Pretty sure it needs a log in but it can be anything. I don't use my uni email for it.

IDLE is fine I just prefer VS. Also for whatever reason VS compiles Python as v 3.x.x and IDLE compiles it as 2.x.x, no idea why, when I initially installed Python it was 2.x.x.

And this is why everyone should compile everything through the terminal by making their own makefiles. The few times I used IDE's I had no idea what was really going on when they would try to compile things.

IDE?

probably Eclipse because it's actually free software and not some weird meme shit like intelliAids

> he still uses those archaic old tools instead of nice modern Acme

Eclipse is AIDS, buggy and crashes everytime.
Visual Studio is the best I've ever used, followed by Netbeans and Notepad++ .

Do you exercise? If not try exercising 30 minutes a day 3 times a week. Just run on a treadmill or elliptical, doesn't have to be too intense. It will work wonders for your productivity over time.

NetBeans
Visual Studio
IntelliJ & Android studio
SE80

IN that ordered

Visual Studio, no competition

IntelliJ (or Android Studio)
PyCharm

Eclipse is dumb

VS is pretty nice, but the lack of cross-platform is a bit of a downer.

AdaCore...

I used anjuta too.

>It's easy to use.

If it weren't for the plugin hell I would say it's a decent IDE.

>Android Studio

Too bad it's slow as fuck.

Not as bloated as the other IDEs like Android Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.

CLion for c/c++
Pycharm for python
Intelij for java

>thanks uni email for the free stuff

I love Visual Studio for its debugger and IntelliSense

>using IDE
just use sublime for everything desu

Baby steps, nigger. Don't think about end goals, set baby goals for each day.

Gnome builder

Visual Studio opens faster than Atom on my machine

Visual Studio masturd race

Code::blocks

>Too bad it's slow as fuck.
True. Thank fuck I have a relatively beefy computer.

damn.dog

I just use vim.

Get on my level

netmemes

what packages do I have to install to actually get it to build and run a C program on debian?
I installed a bunch of stuff like autoconf, autopoint, build-essentials but I am still not sure what I actually is required and why it doesn't just resolve those packages as deps.

Bravo or Notepad++

Learned Netbeans, use Netbeans at work, and haven't really used anything else for a prolonged period of time. I'm told it's suboptimal, but it gets the job done.
